TLDR: A hidden speakeasy gem in Fells with incredible cocktails, great vibes, and outstanding hospitality. Go before it becomes the next big thing. Highball, the speakeasy in the back of Bank St Deli, is one of the coolest speakeasy concepts I've experienced in Baltimore and it instantly reminded me of the hidden bars you find throughout NYC. The nondescript deli storefront is perfect, and the secret entrance behind the soda machine absolutely nails the speakeasy reveal. My group of eight stopped in on a Saturday right when they opened at 4pm and had the bar to ourselves. The bartenders were incredibly hospitable and quick with thoughtful drink recommendations. A few of us hit it off with Evan in particular, who kept the cocktails flowing and the conversation lively. We only came for pre-dinner drinks so I can't comment on the deli portion, but the sandwich menu looked solid. What really shines here are the cocktails and the ambiance. The decor sets the tone, and the drinks match it with style. Our favorites were the Green Book Reserve and the Bank Street Dirty, their creative spin on a dirty martini. Every drink was balanced, inventive, and delicious. Overall, Highball feels like it's on track to become one of the hottest spots in Fells, so make sure to visit before everyone else catches on.

I appreciate their attempt at a cocktail "speakeasy" bar. They did a great job with the bartenders, but it took us 30+ minutes to even be able to order a drink since everything was ordered only from one portion of the table. They also had their lights on incredibly bright. - all in all, would not recommended.

Highball is one of those places that makes the experience just as memorable as the food and drinks. At first, you think you're walking into a liquor store... then suddenly it turns into a delicatessen. From there, you have the option to go through a vending machine door that opens into an entirely new space: Highball. That reveal alone sets the tone for the night. The bar area is intimate, but it opens up into a cozy lounge that secretly overlooks the deli, which is such a cool touch. We started the evening seated at the bar, where the bartenders were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made fantastic drinks. As our group grew, we moved into the lounge area, which ended up being super comfortable and perfect for all of us to relax and enjoy the night. The food? Absolutely on point. I had the Caprese sandwich, which was fresh and delicious. Someone ordered the Caesar salad, and it honestly didn't stand a chance -- it was that good. Another had the Reuben, and it was packed with perfection. Drinks were just as impressive. We sampled a variety -- one with mezcal, one with Buffalo Trace (my choice, and it was yummy), plus Manhattans and smoked Old Fashioneds. Every drink was crafted beautifully and tasted just as good as it looked. Great vibes, amazing drinks, solid food, and a fun hidden-gem feel. Highball is definitely a spot I'd return to and recommend if you're looking for something a little different with a lot of character.

This is a place you need to check out before it becomes the next hot thing! Lots of free parking. a little outside of the fells point area sits this cute little bar! Walk through the front of the store and open up the soda machine to find this dimly lit beautiful bar! The service was great, drinks were tasty! Can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu!

$1,000 a year for membership? Thats wild. Too much for Baltimore in my opinion. There's plenty of speakeasy's around.

The service was courteous, attentive, extremely professional & our server was very astute concerning every aspect of our dining experience, from assisting us with menu choices to making sure we had appropriate take out containers for our leftovers. Our server was prepared for any & all questions & concerns we voiced. The food was delightful. Every dish we tried was absolutely bursting with flavor. The whole fried fish I ordered was cooked perfectly. It was crunchy on the outside with tender, flaky flesh on the inside. The spices that encapsulated the fish enhanced the overall flavor of the dish. It was some of the best fish I have had the pleasure of eating. My husband had the crab cakes & he stated that they were full of actual crab meat & not filler. I was very impressed that the restaurant offered a free calamari appetizer if you sign up for emails. The calamari was also very light & tasted great. We ordered the Parmesan Truffle fries as an appetizer also & they were crunchy and cooked perfectly & also very flavorful. We ended our meal sharing a Mexican coffee. It was yummy & the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Finally, the view, decor & ambiance of the restaurant were all breathtaking. The restaurant is situated at a quiet part of the Inner Harbor. So we were able to enjoy our meal with a beautiful view of the harbor away from the usual hustle & bustle of the harbor. Rusty Scupper is definitely a restaurant I recommend trying if you are in Baltimore. You definitely will not be disappointed.

My favorite was the omelette station (I'm an omelette guy), and they did not disappoint. Fresh, made-to-order, and exactly how you want it. If you're into seafood or southern fried catfish, you'll be in heaven--they've got it all covered. Drinks included with the price $67 person! Crazy deal! They also had a live pianist playing, which added a smooth, classy vibe to the whole experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, the bathrooms are clean, and everything felt well put together. I'll definitely be back. If you're looking for a solid brunch spot in Baltimore with great food and a nice waterfront feel, this is it. Oh yeah and the service was good.

We were only in Baltimore for one night and leaving town right after this meal so I wanted some authentic Maryland Crab. Yelp helped with my decision with choosing Loch Bar. We arrived in the middle of happy hour. It was freezing and extremely windy outside so it was the perfect coziness to eat some seafood, at least in my opinion. We sat at the bar because that included happy hour items and there were a lot of empty seats. Immediately upon sitting, we were greeted by the bartender. I didn't catch his name but he was about 6 ft tall, slim, African American, and maybe late 20's/ early 30's. Very friendly, attentive, and professional. We ordered several items from the happy hour menu but I really wanted to try the crab cake so I ordered that, which came with either a salad or fries. Since we ordered the Old Bay fries, I went with the salad. Our food came out not too fast and did not take super long, it was great timing. OMFG again! EVERYTHING WAS SO FRIGGIN AMAZING! The crab cake was the freshest and most flavorful I have ever had! The fries were perfectly seasoned and not over fried or greasy. The salad was fresh and the dressing was perfectly balanced! AND THE CRAB SOUP!!! It was the best I ever had! It reminded me of my absolute favorite lobster bisque from a restaurant I grew up on that closed. I am salivating writing this review and definitely need to come back! I loved the decor of the restaurant and mentioned to hubs it reminded me of many seafood restaurants I visited when I lived in NYC. It is right on the water so I imagine it is just as good in the summer. It looked like there was a big outside patio with an outdoor bar so hopefully I get to visit in warmer weather to experience that.

Sat at a two top right behind the waiter service station . Horrible seat in a not very busy space. We ordered yellowtail poke, Caesar Salad, 6 oysters, shrimp banh mi, and brussel sprouts. Poke - visually appealing, lacking flavor and the sauce provide was uninspired. Caesar- simple and delish. Way too much so I asked to take the rest home. Salad was taken and never returned. Oysters - I had 2 each of 3 different types. I love oysters. Eating those six made me lose interest in ever eating another oyster. Just not good. Not spoiled. Just not good. Shrimp banh mi - Nice tasting but not amazing. Brussels sprouts- A bit oily but really delicious. Everyone around me had cocktails with lunch. Perhaps if I were drinking I'd have not noticed how displeasing the experience was. Lastly, the place smelled like stale beer. A one and done for me.
