I'm really happy that Baltimore has so many chill, upscale, and homestead places like Mamo Kokos. This is where I want to bring my friends when we want to catch up but also enjoy nice bites and drinks. We came in for post lunch drinks and treats. I ordered an affogato and mocktail. The waitress was kind and kept us in the loop when the bar got backed up. We also ordered the warm cookies and it paired well with my affogato!!! Definitely coming back!

My friend and I stopped by on Friday since we were close by and checked out the menu but did not order anything but loved the ambiance and music. However on Sunday I went back for breakfast with my girlfriend, I got the Balt' Cro'gel which was amazing & fresh with a iced matcha latte with the flavor toasted marshmallow. My girlfriend got an old fashion which she enjoyed it & smash burger, the burger has sauce that paired well with the burger. The food came out fast and once we were done we appreciate the staff asking how was it? As a first timer I will be returning !

Tried this place for the first time. I had the mango iced tea and it was the perfect amount of refreshing and sweet but not too sweet. I think my only issue was there was too much ice in my drink so I finished my drink faster than I would've wanted to, but I think next time I'll just ask for less ice! I also had an apple turn over and it was so delicious. Service was good and attentive. The ambiance is really chill during the day. After breakfast, pastries are $1 off and then they have a happy hour staring at 3 pm. There are also some cool events that take place here and I'd love to check out

Mama Koko's is definitely still a vibe! Just be mindful of the different timings of their various menus. There is a breakfast/lunch menu, a separate happy hour menu, and then a late night evening menu. There is some cross over, but you could very well go thinking you can get a certain thing and it will not be available. Table service is available after 5pm, order at the counter before then.

My friends and I stopped by after a walk, and we were greeted with amazing energy. The place itself is well decorated and the ambiance in there is so light and fun! We saw some people working on laptops while others sat and talked on the couch. I had a strawberry matcha during happy hour and it was good, I added extra sugar to mine to sweeten it. The staff was helpful and very nice, I would recommend you check this place out.

I love it here from the food to the ambiance! I got the bacon crogel sandwich and a strawberry matcha which both were really good and the service was pretty quick. It's also more than a cafe and full of other black owned businesses and art. Such a beautiful space overall!

Don't walk, RUN to this establishment. The food is immaculate the vibes were on 10 every single time. I teleworked from there this week, and the space was so chill, the playlists always have my favorite songs, and the service is so good. I visit Mama Kokos as least once a week! They never miss.

What a hidden gem! I stopped here on my way to my art class at MICA and I will definitely be back. The place is gorgeous! Several beautiful rooms to choose from and a bar with friendly staff. The peanut butter latte was out of this world! I also got a coffee cake and they heated it for me too!

This place is a blessing to Baltimore. Such a vibe. Good food. Good drinks. Good music. Good people. I go there when I want peace and fun. Such a community oriented business.

I have been dying to get here! We visited on a Wednesday around midday and it was still a vibe with the perfectly curated music playing in the background. They were still serving breakfast and they also had lunch bites available. We chose a cozy spot by the window while we looked over the menu. We placed our order at the bar. It wasn't too long of a wait before our food was brought over. I enjoyed my breakfast burrito and I tasted my boyfriend's shrimp and grits--delicious. I would have had 7 lavender lemonades if it was free refills!! It was that good! I am looking forward to coming back to try different menu items and even to enjoy the space for various events that are held here.

Food, culture and vibes! I arrived at 7:30pm and was able to get a seat for two within five minutes. I took in the decor and vibed a bit to the music while waiting. All the decor is intentional. I felt like I was visiting a relatives well adorned home for a home cooked meal. Seating is cozy and we were seated near the bar. The dinner/bar bites menu is small but we managed to be satiated with a few menu items. 1. Fish balls: 7/10 the flavor was just ok BUT my sister loved them the next day. The coating was nice and crispy. 2. Yucca fries: 10/10 these were amazing and the sauce on the side was a nice. 3. Shrimp Bowl: 8/10 it was different than expected but delicious. The greens and sweet potatoes stole the show. 4. Mocktails: 10/10 both were excellent. The ginger beer option had a kick 5. Apple turn over: 10/10 great flavor w/ a warm and flaky crust. It was so good and topped with vanilla bean ice cream. 6, Chocolate Chip Cookie: warm, oversized with a great texture. This would also be great with ice cream, which you can add for $2. 7. Lemon pepper wings: 10/10 excellent. Crispy, tender and juicy. However, the lemon pepper flavor was understated. They were seasoned well but I did not taste lemon pepper The host shared their event schedule with us and the waiter was kind and attentive. I look forward to going back. $150 for items listed above. Reasonable for a night out!

I came here thinking it was a posh little cafe, and was delightfully met with a live DJ playing a mix of Baltimore house, Rap, and Afro Funk. Heavy emphasis on the culture here! This place is bumpin'. Felt absolutely silly showing up with a book when patrons were happily dancing around this absolutely gorgeous historical building. Lots of natural lighting with high ceilings, great for grabbing a bite to eat or starting your nightly adventures on the right foot. Both bars are absolutely stunning, decorated with an excellent selection of vinyl records. The staff is extremely kind and well dressed. I had a chicken burrito with collard greens, the abv free mocktail ginger beer, and the Spanish gin & tonic. The burrito was super filling and flavorful, but I think the star of the show was definitely the ginger beer. Served with scotch bonnet bitters, I will be coming back next time I need a drink that truly warms the soul. The Spanish G&T was extremely well made, considering that I am not the biggest fan of fennel. I also appreciate Mama Koko's mindfulness in reducing single use plastics by using metal straws.

This spot is a must if you're a matcha or coffee lover! I had the Peach Matcha Latte and it was honestly the best one I've ever had--perfect balance of fruity and creamy without being too sweet . Also tried the Eclipse Latte (such a vibe!) and it was just as good--smooth, bold, and super unique. The service was so kind and welcoming--it made the whole experience even better. You can tell they put love into every cup. Can't wait to come back and try more

The service completely sucks!!! When I first walked in... the hostess flagged me down to ask where I was sitting...I told her I was by myself...she walks around half the bar and told me there is no seating available at the bar. She it made seem taboo. Sooooo...I go stand by the doorway and after 1-2 mins I ask her what does she recommend I do...then she tells me I can stand at the bar. After that it took over 45 mins before the bartender acknowledged me. The bartender then tells me that they are not serving patrons who are standing because they're busy. The manager tells me to stand in a specific spot and the bartender was like I am not serving standing people..my thought: "this place does not want to make money" The bartender even comes back around and let's me know that someone is about to get up, which I did appreciate. Unfortunately, I do not recommend!!! Its not worth the hassle. Support a business that respects and appreciates your patronage.

This was a post dinner bar visit so we mainly had drinks and added a few treats: colossal shrimp cocktail and warm butter cake. I have never been splashed in the face during the shaking of a drink that was being made by the bartender. The bartender was of a different race and seemed annoyed by my presence from the jump. I had been splashed in the face twice until a customer of his race came and sat next to me. I did pay attention to his behavior while the woman was seated next to me and his drink mixing wasn't as aggressive. I had to go to the bathroom during my visit and told him I would pay before going to the bathroom so he wouldn't make any assumptions about me. I asked him to keep my drink behind the bar because the woman was still seated next to me. I came back and the woman eventually left. I was still finishing my drink and I was splashed 2 additional times. The last time I made him aware of what he was doing. His apology was disingenuous and passive aggressive. I left after this even though I had intentions on ordering desert and listening to the musicians that were about to get started. I did inform the manager about my experience prior to leaving. I'm leaving the review bc the experience still bothers me. If they have cameras at the bar I'm sure my reaction to the splashing can be observed.

The gentlemen who answered the phone was so kind, and was able to squeeze us in on the fly on a Saturday night, and they weren't slow. Got there super early because I was already in the area, and my wife and I decided to have an old fashioned and an espresso martini at the bar while we waited and they were excellent. The ambiance was upscale but still managed to be relaxed and comfortable. We had a lovely dinner, the waiter was busy but was still attentive and patient. Yesterday I realized a mistake on my bank account from the bar charge, so I called around 6 pm and spoke to the same gentlemen as before. He got all my info and promised he'd call back in 5 minutes.
