Tina was great. My nails turned out exactly how I asked her to make them. I'm very particular about my nail shape as I always get a full set. It's nice to see that the shop offered all their guests drinks. They also had a little pedicure massage chair for children, which was awfully cute. Anyhow, Tina made sure that every step of the process, I was liking the development of my nails, which I truly appreciate. My best friend was getting married so I had booked 4 manicures and 2 acrylics and 5 pedicures. We had been recommended here. Most of the girls had loved their nails. But I had a different experience. The nail tech who was putting on my full set of acrylics was very apologetic after he had cut my finger with a file. He was pretty messy. My hands had acrylic goop all over them. The nails looks nice. But the worst part of it all was the fact that my nails (ALL 10) came off the night of the wedding, the day after I had just gotten them. I'm not one to ever write a review. But I have been to a lot of salons and never had my acrylics come off the next day. Waste of money. read more

Cece and Jenny are the best. They are so kind, sweet and welcoming. We had the deluxe pedi which was incredible- these ladies really know what they're doing. I had ombré acrylic mani by cece and I am blown away at her skill, they look just like the picture I showed her. She is a perfectionist and always checked to make sure I loved the shape, length etc. The complimentary green tea was also a lovely touch. Honestly, one of the worst places I've been, based off of (the lack of) hospitality alone. I placed an appointment on 12/24/21 at 2:42 PM. My appointment was for 12/27/21 at 3:30 pm. Upon arrival a man said he called me, but there was no answer. Truthfully, he did call me, but I was speaking to my doctor. He called me from +1 (503) 673-3356. Whether that be a personal number or a business number, I do not know, nor do I care. He said he was calling to tell me that my nail tech had left (being that this was a new place for me, based off of reviews, I had no tech. It must've been the one they assigned to me?), but that I could be seen. Per HIS mistake, he wrote that my appointment was for one person. However, it wasn't, my appointment was for two people. I proceeded to show him the text and he got frazzled and then said that my appointment was never confirmed. Well, that's asinine to say the least. How do I not have an appointment if you called me to tell me that I was okay to be seen and you write down all my information in the book? His pride was the reason behind him being unable to accept fault. He barbarously shouted at myself and my mother. Out of embarrassment, she nodded to me and said "let's spend our money elsewhere." I could see the pain in her eyes as the man yelled at us as if we were beggars. I explained that our nails were being done for an international trip on Wednesday. However, he did not care. The whole shop was glaring at us as he yelled and ridiculed us. I left and proceeded to go across the street to Diva Nails and Spa at 14925 SW Barrows Rd, Beaverton, OR 97007. As I hastily walked in, I did not realize they were closed. The owner came to the front and in an amiable tone said "I'm sorry honey, we are closed." However, the lovely, sweet and respectful shop owner listened to how I was poorly treated across the street and I told her the reasoning for getting our nails done. Not only did she open the shop for just us, she called in another worker. We gladly spent over $300 with hardy tips, at their shop without regret. Although they didn't have to, they took us in and treated us so warmly. I would suggest that you save your money and go to Diva Nail & Spa instead! My mother and I are black women, and as black women, we are always aware of the spaces that we are in. The man at the front of the spa, made us feel unwelcome and discriminated against. If you are black or brown, I would not suggest Progress Nails & Spa as they are rude and discriminatory.If I could rate this horrible spa zero stars, I would. read more

I got my nails done for prom here. Overall my nails came out cute although I wish I could adjust minor things. Some things to note were there my nail tech lost control of the drill a few times and even cut open her glove one of those times with it. The three or so times it happened she made sure to immediately pull away as to not damage or hurt my hand and nails in process. I asked for an almond shape and got more of a rounded stiletto instead. I recommend this salon is you want something more simple. Below is what I asked for and what I later settled for. They had no gold shimmer shade nor any gold flakes. I had to get gold glitter polish instead and replaced the gold shimmer accent nails for a white nail. The rhinestones are not at all placed the same either. They still turned out cute and were good for prom and general wear but not satisfied with the side by side comparison. I suggest choosing even more simple designs when going here. The overall nails have still stayed on very well over a month later without any lifting or breakage. When I left the building I still had polish on my fingers too lol. read more

I went in person, and everything was very sanitized. Before sitting down, they ask you to sanitize your hands, and wear gloves to look for your desired color. The technicians also wear gloves while working with you. They are very kind, professional, and clear. I got a technician in less than 10 minutes, and she even helped me pick my colors! They are very gentle, and ask questions when needed, so you get what you want. At the end they ask if you are satisfied, and if any changes or add ons are needed. I'm glad they're finding ways to stay in business during these times. read more

Came here for a pedicure and asked for the $35 instead of their basic which is $30. They were so quick not to forget the extra $5 I don't mind paying for a better type of pedicure but it was rushed, didn't get a massage and they didn't even put lotion on I had to ask and apply it myself. Super great service! I flew in for a wedding coming up and needed my nails done a few days before. My friend was able to book an appointment with them the day I was in town. The nail technician who did my pedicure and manicure was so kind and painted my nails well. Customer service was awesome and the prices were reasonable! I had a terrible experience at this salon!! I got my nails done by Young and he was just plain rude. He was very harsh on my acrylics, I thought my fingers were going to bleed. He cut and shaped my nails WAY too short and didn't even ask about the length I wanted them. He didn't paint the full nail so I had to ask him to fix his mistakes- he was rude in his responses all around! Atmosphere is great. Everything is brand new and feels very clean! There are a ton of manicure and pedicure stations, so my friends and I didn't have to wait long for a walk-in appointment. Maybe 10 minutes. I was excited for some pampering, and enjoyed a complimentary mimosa during my wait. The actual experience was not so great. The technician doing my manicure told me my nails were very delicate and then proceeded to be rough with them. The type of nail file was very hard and tore up the skin near some of my nails - still sore a few days later. She also cut my cuticles back too far and they bled. Not a very relaxing experience. Great communication friendly however they seemed to be focused on money when it came out to pay out. This was a gift Day for Mother's Day and I was paying for half my services. I was rudely questioned on how much I would be tipping from both people. Gratuity is based on skill and the way you handle your customer it's not earned or expected by your client. Sad part is I did not like the way my nails turned out. she seemed very happy with what she did however it wasn't what I asked for unfortunately. Halfway through doing my nails she stopped to work on someone else's nails before finishing the service with me using the same tools.I left feeling sad. My friend paid for my pedicure but I ended up tipping for hands and feet just because she thought she deserves a full amount tip for her work. Probably won't be returning. They need to focus on their time with their customers and on their skill rather than communicating with each other. I understand working in this field it's easy to communicate amongst each other however when you're talking about your client in front of them without knowing they understand you it's never OK. He kept making the comment about how he can make $50 in that amount of time versus $10, so I gave him $20. I appreciate him helping me but I will never return. read more

I've never been in so much pain in a salon. The amount of times I had to pull my hand back out of pain while getting my nails done. I have been coming here for about a year now with my mom (about once a month). They have always been extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Many of the nail technicians are patient, detail-oriented, and understand a good amount of english. There is always someone here who can help translate between vietnamese and english so you should always leave happy with how your nails look. Free wi-fi and drinks. Beautiful and relaxing environment with great floor-to-ceiling windows (ample natural light). The nail salon has multiple pedicure chairs and manicure stations, so it is easy to bring friends and family. Low intermittent environmental noise allows for good conversation. The bathroom is ADA compliant, and they could easily accomadate services for people who are in wheelchairs. Many good food choices across the street. Great parking! read more

My tech had clearly never applied gels before, and my sister's tech ended up trading places with her to finish my manicure. Also, there was this guy (the manager?) who was rather abrasive toward the women and slightly pushy with guests, but didn't really do anything to help except greet customers.
