Moda is my go to if I need a mani or pedi. They do nice work. The owners (mother and daughter) who took over are nice and personable. I've called in last minute to book and they let me know if they are able to accommodate my needs. I've never been up charged for all kinds of silly things like in other nail salons. It's a clean establishment. I like that the nail techs pay attention to your vibe. If your headphones are on they will let you just be in your space. If they feel you like small talk, then they'll chat you up. Another plus is they support local schools in the area with fundraising. These guys are great. They had me come in short notice after a miscommunication at another salon. They were able to give me a fresh full set with no damage to my natural nails and the end result is stunning imo. The length- perfect. The shape- gorgeous. I received a gel x service by Henry and he delivered 10/10! I showed him an inspo photo and he perfectly mastered it. I have received compliments all day! The salon has welcoming aesthetics, comfortable new massage chairs, beverages are offered and their prices are reasonable (actually a tad lower than other salons within the area). The only thing (beyond their control) is that they share a parking lot with a busy restaurant / bar across the way. No big deal but come a wee bit early in case you need to park down the way. My boyfriend and I got our pedicures done at this place. I'm not sure if he's the owner or what but he was assigned to my boyfriend to do his pedicure. During the experience, he was continuously taking phone calls and often kept taking breaks to take those calls during the service, while he was working on him, he kept poking at his toe and then cut it open to get the "ingrown out" when there wasn't an ingrown. He cut the corner of the toe too short and created an ingrown, after a week of that service, his toe was then infected and sore. Would not go again. read more

My nails look great and feet look amazing. She is very kind, sweet, flexible. And for the salon .. it's always clean! The people I've interacted with are way pleasant and nice. Not super chattery in here. It's a very chill vibe. Everything is clean and super sterile. The massage chairs for pedicures are new and very nice. I'm 4'11" and the seats move up and down (new feature for me) which made the whole experience that much more comfortable. Sloppy manicure!!! May old gel manicure showed thru the new one and it was clear on clear !! Can see a line on my nails! I did not have an appointment at this salon, so I called and asked if they had time for me to get a pedicure and a simple pedicure for my daughter who is 6. They asked if I could come now. I said yes BUT it will take me time to get there. The woman said ok, ok and hurried me off of the phone. I live a bit away and there is terrible traffic. About 29 minutes after our conversation, while I was driving, the woman called me back to see if I was still coming. I told her yes, I am 2 minutes away and I asked her if it was still ok that I come in. She told me YES. I arrived at the salon and the woman I spoke to on the phone greeted us and told me to pick a color from the wall. I asked her if I could do shellac and her reply was "oh my god. Ok sit down." At this point in time I realized that this place maybe didn't really have time for me. So I asked, how much time do you have? She replied and said "Since you are so late we have 30 minutes!" I was shocked at how rude she was being so I said, "ok, I think I am going to go down the street because it doesn't seem like you have time to do this." And I started to put my shoes back on. The lady said "Yeah you need to leave and go down the street." In a very rude and elevated tone. At this point I had had enough and I told her that I was going to not give her business a very good review. I did not call and beg for her to fit me in, and when she called I asked her if it was still ok that I come in. She told me yes, to still come! There are several salons in the area and I was more than willing to try a different one. After I said this and started to walk out of the front door with my 6 year old, the lady proceeded to FOLLOW ME YELLING! She told me that if I left her a bad review that she "would get me too" whatever that means ‍. I continued to walk to my vehicle which was parked up the hill while she was screaming at me calling me crazy lady. My daughter was in tears from being scared of this unhinged woman! It's disappointing that they didn't just say no! And it is disappointing that they were going to give me a quick and rushed service and presumably charge me the same as a full service. It is completely UNACCEPTABLE that this woman followed us screaming to the point that my daughter was crying. I am now happily sitting down the road at Naile Nails & Beyond. I am so excited for the reopening of Moda Salon!!! I went for a pedicure and it was amazing! I had the big one and it did not disappoint. I had a scrub, hot stones, paraffin and the most outstanding massage by Anna. The new chairs are very comfortable, I love how the lights make it easy for the technician to see what they're doing. My toes were meticulously tidied and painted. I highly recommend Anna. I also had facial waxing done by Lisa and she did a great job, she caught those pesky invisible whiskers. Went here for a dip manicure for the first time tonight after a recommendation from a friend. The technician was wonderful and we had a nice time chatting! However, I left feeling a bit disappointed. Wow! New owners have really turned this place around! Walked in and got an immediate appointment for a mani-pedi with Hannah. She was incredible. She really took her time and gave me the best manicure/pedicure I've had in a long time. Love my color and I especially loved how she did all the extra things that make it a professional job. She painted the edges of my nails (I'm surprised how many salons forgo this), and she did this for each of the coats she put on. She also made sure that every weird little bump or rough edge was smooth as silk, taking her gloves off so she could feel each of my nails to make sure she got them all. You could tell she took a lot of pride in her work. The session lasted longer than what I typically experience in other shops but this was time well spent. Plus, the ambiance was really nice. It was clean! Towels weren't stained but they were bright white. No dust from years of manicures lingering on the workstations. Everything in working order. Well done to the New Owners! This was my first visit with Moda Salon, to make sure of their scheduling, I called ahead and made an appointment for a shellac manicure. Walking into the salon, I was greeted immediately and given the nail colors available along with a beverage before being seated. My nail artist was Nancy. She was very sweet and very gentle on my nails. I'm not a huge conversationalist during getting my nails done so we had small conversations which was very nice. She payed very close attention to detail which each of my nails, making sure all were in top shape before applying the polish. Each nail was given generous coats and even painted the tips of the nails to make sure they fully blended! (The polish was #135, purple/gold/reddish glitter shellac) I did not feel rushed or neglected in any part of my visit with this salon. I felt, for the service I had received, the price is exactly where it should be. I will definitely be returning to see Nancy again! read more

It had been a pretty stressful month and my cuticles were in need of pampering. It was also my daughter's birthday. My suggestion for a Deluxe mani-pedi were exactly what we both needed. We were warmly welcomed, picked out our colors and then the magic began. From the moment they started working on our feet we knew that we had made the right choice in choosing Moda. We were even offered complimentary beverages. My granddaughter opted for only nail polish on her fingers and they were so sweet to accommodate her. She enjoyed her apple juice too. I've been in the market for a new nail place for quite some time (my other experiences have run the gamut from super disappointed and hurt to meh) but after one look at my raggedy nails I decided to take my mom and I out for some pampering time. Since we didn't want to venture too far from home, we picked the highest rated one nearby on Yelp (thanks to the Nearby Feature on my yelp driven smart phone!) and here is where it took us. Located in the little, kinda awkward mini business park (not in the Progress Ridge shopping center) you'll see a Metro Perk visible on one side. Good thing I know the area, because I had to hunt around the brick buildings to find it. The manager opened the door for us and welcomed us in. We could see that the place was clean, modern, roomy and airy without the incessant chatter many salons have (and I don't mean the patrons, I mean the staff). My nail tech, Amy was friendly, efficient and fast. In addition to those desirable qualities, her attention to detail was superior - my shellac manicure is lovely, even and has not one anomaly that I can see (those of you who do gel/shellac know that that isn't always the case). My mom did the shellac pedi and we both were happy. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is my personal whine - no free wine! read more
