I get dip and they don't have as many colors as some salons, but I asked for a custom nail art drawing that came out perfect and was just $5! I took a manicure hiatus for a few months but when I came back, Kay did her thing! This is a typical full set with gel polish. Kay does great with making sure there's no polish stuck on the skin before it cures and that the under nail is cleaned up too. Also, she does great with naturally very short nails (I'm a stress nail biter, I know it's a bad habit...). Also the owner Nina, (at least I think it was the owner and I think that is her name) is very friendly and welcoming to her clients! read more

I have reviewed Nina's before but I'm leaving another because I just can't say enough good things about this place. I've been wanting to take my mom here for a while but she's 85 and in a wheelchair and would not be able to get onto the pedicure chair. I asked If I could bring a foot soak tub from home, and they said yes. Kay did my mom's pedicure, and we were so happy. Kay was so kind, gentle, and patient and did such a thorough job. I feel bad that I didn't think about how kay was going to be hunched over the tub the whole time because it's so much lower on the ground as opposed to the pedicure chair. I'll figure something out for next time. Mom also got a manicure (kay helped mom pick her polish because mom was too distracted to pick it when we got there) and after it was done, kay found a box and put the nail dryer on top of the box because mom couldn't lean that far down to put her hands in the dryer. It was such a treat for mom because she is not able to get out of the house very often and Kay was such a genuinely nice person. It really made her (and my) day. Stephanie did my pedicure and as always did a fabulous! job. I have only had Kay or Stephanie do my nails but I'm sure that all the other women who work there as very good as well. Whenever a person comes in, it seems like they have been there before and have been coming in for a while. Anyway, Kay and Stephanie, I can't say enough good things about them! read more

This salon is a friendly neighborhood salon with repeat customers and pleasant vibe. My appointment time was honored and that is such a rare thing at salons! Kay took great care with a mani pedi package. I understand she is an artist and can make any design you like. She also was great at a massage on my hands and feet. I've been here 3 times so far - mostly for pedicure, as I've ingrown toenails that hurts and I need it removed. As protocol all workers wears masks and some are talkative, others hum and let me just browse my phone. All workers have been friendly and courteous, and I really enjoy the pumice and massage treatment :) Colors stay on for a month even with regular polish, and I got shellac once and that'd stay on till it's professionally removed. Typically on time with no wait as I always make appointments, and price is reasonable. It's in my neighborhood location with ample parking. This place was great! I've had maybe three manicures in my lifetime and two were with my mom when I was a little kid. I'm pushing forty and a real noob. Well, I went in wanting really short mountain peak or stiletto nails but I'm a PT and was worried something too long would be annoying on the job. I wish I knew the person's name that did my nails but they were great. Very nice, and helped show me that I didn't even need tips, that my nails were long enough to get what I wanted. Now I have a gel manicure and lovely Medusa nails. It is cash only, which I hadn't checked beforehand so that's my fault. Was fumbling at the ATM for a while before I even remembered my pin but all was well! Will definitely go back again, hopefully a little more prepared. read more

My mom came to visit yesterday and I have been dying to get a mani pedi with her. So we finally did and we had an amazing, relaxing time. My mom loved her nails so much she practically was in tears. The ladies there were friendly but not overly friendly which was refreshing. Much needed a mommy-daughter time and it was well worth it, especially with the prices. Of course left a nice tip and my mom and I are definitely looking forward to coming here again! Highly recommend this place for sure over the overly priced salon I ORIGINALLY wanted to take my mom. The first time I called Nina's Salon, I felt a bit nervous. I had never been there before and I am very shy and apprehensive about new people and places. I asked about making an appointment and they asked me, "How soon can you get here?" I live fairly close, so they were willing to squeeze me in between their other appointments. I was lucky enough to have two wonderful technicians assisting me at the same time -- meaning my manicure was happening while I was sitting in the pedicure chair. This might not have been everyone's cup of tea, but it was a fun experience for me. I am very ticklish, so I rarely get pedicures, but having the manicure done at the same time distracted me enough to survive the tickling! I have to marvel at Bee's skill! She did my first manicure standing up the entire time without a real table to work on. She even drew a teeny seal [the pictures where the seal takes up the top half of my nail] after merely glancing at a couple of pictures I had found online to show her -- and she was drawing fine lines on what I'm sure was a moving target. She never lost her composure and is so sweet and kind and cheerful. The second time I went in [the picture where the seal takes up my entire nail] I had drawn the art myself and asked her if she could copy it. It was flawless! She takes such care about asking if the length is okay, if the shape is okay, and if you're happy with how things look. [Just for reference, the picture from the second time I went in is about five days old, so there has been some grow-out.] Stephanie is such a kind, smiley person. She did my pedicure, and I loved how it came out, but I don't like taking pictures of my feet. ^^; The massage she gave me was so relaxing, and I was able to set my anxiety aside for a few minutes just to enjoy it. She hums and sings softly while she works, which is adorable, and the tunes she hums or sings change depending on the music around her. Bee was seated next to Stephanie when I went in for my second manicure, and I know it isn't my review to write, but in case the other patron doesn't write a review, they were really happy with the job Stephanie did. They accidentally smudged one of their nails and Stephanie was quick to touch it up for them. All of the people who work there are so nice. You feel truly welcomed when you walk in and pampered when you walk out. There is an ATM machine for your convenience because they don't accept credit cards, and I felt that was so helpful! They offer you water or tea and the environment is so casual and cozy. I definitely recommend them! read more

Really wanted to love this place. It has such good reviews!! Where do I start? The pedicure was just mediocre. Barely massaged my feet and felt rushed. I did powder nails and it was my first time doing it. The color of the powder dip sample was soooooo different than the color it came out to be. Is the color different on the sample palletes than it turns out to be when it's on your nails?? It's disappointing because now I have to fix my nails myself before an event I have next weekend, which is going to cost me more $$. I've gotten French tip nails for years.. these are the worst nails I've ever gotten or seen. Horrible salon. I asked for a regular acrylic French tip. The lady charged me extra because she put gel when I didn't even ask for that. They overcharged me($46).. When I asked for the price that lady included tip without my consent.. how disrespectful. I suggest to call before walking in because this spot can be packed! No hate. Because it's one of the best nail shops I've experienced. I moved from Clackamas to Hillsboro and I've been hunting for a new spot nearby instead of going to Bridgeport and spending +$75 on acrylics with designs or they have a color charge if you decide to get more than one color which is too expensive. Nina's nails is affordable - Acrylics are $46 That's almost half off!!! What a money saver. Not only that but all the coworkers are friendly, talkative, and do their best to make your nails perfect. Found this place on Yelp and I'm so glad I read the reviews! Called to make an apt and Summer was extremely friendly over the phone. We walked in and was greeted with a smile by all staff. I wanted my take my sister out for some girl time since she just had a baby and Summer told Jeff to give her an extra long massage! My nail tech's name was V. She was extremely sweet and took her time! Her massages are HEAVEN!!! My sister and I both fell asleep! Jeff took his time and was super friendly! We decided to get the pedi with hot towel and paraffin wax for $31. I do have to admit that they don't put much paraffin in the bag which goes over your feet. They only do one scoop of the wax into the bag, two would've been a little better. But hey... I'm not going to throw a stink about it, because everything was awesome!!! The staff seems so friendly and funny!! I haven't seen a staff (in a nail salon) so happy! It was nice to see!! When I come back to visit my sister I am definitely coming back here!! read more
