I enjoyed coming for a girls day! It was quiet and my friend and I got to enjoy the place to ourselves for almost our whole treatment. We both got pedicures and sat in the massage chairs that you control. They offer drinks with your service but they forgot to bring ours - no biggie, we had just come from lunch. They did a fantastic paint job! I wish the massage was a bit longer and with more pressure, I could have asked but since it was my first time here I wanted to see how it was before making any requests. Enjoyed their throwback playlist with 00's jams! They have a couple smaller kids pedicure chairs as well for mini me dates with your littles. I will be back!

She pays attention to detail and she is just great at what she does. I found my new nail lady in my neighborhood which makes me very happy. I suggest coming! (For prior reviews about poor communication - I had someone else do my toes and Tiffany was able to communicate what it was I wanted- you just have to ask!) the vibe is nice as well with a clean environment and matching chairs/nail desks.

Tiffany, the owner and my nail technician is amazing. When I first came came to her from my previous place my nails were weak. She suggested I switch to a gel rather than a dip. My nails are now strong these are my natural nails with a fill and gel color. .

Last time I come here. I asked for Coffin Gel X cut short with off white polish, which is very simple. Somehow I ended up with this from Gena at table 3. She spent 30min filing and shaping natural SQUARE GEL X instead of using coffin Gel X like I asked (why are you making your job harder? LOL) She claimed my nail shape was different (no one has ever said this in all my years doing gel X) so she HAD to use square. Also was rushing and not gentle at all, it was borderline rude. I asked for gem on my nails, she said I shouldn't get them because they would just end up falling out in my hair. Then why do they exist? If you do them correctly, they last. Not sure why she's talking to me like I've never had gems on my nails. Then she said my nail color funny bunny would ONLY look good if i did chrome. Hm, pretty sure a nail color doesn't exist solely from chrome powder and I didn't want chrome. I wanted gems, which she purposefully deferred me from. No respect honestly and really needs to work on her skills. Look at these pictures. It's bad. My nails broke after 8 days, as expected. If you're coming for a pedicure, fine. But make sure to bring a nail kit here or they'll charge you extra $2. Also they cut my toe the previous time I was here for a pedicure, so actually not really even safe there. Otherwise the place is clean, so they have that going. But if you want paper thin, poorly done Gel X nails and a nail tech with an attitude, book Gena!

I recently went to this salon for a pedi. My fingernails were in desperate need of attention too and they got me in on the fly right after my pedi! Thank goodness. Dan did my nails using liquid thickener as the main structure instead of gel (my request), no easy feat. He had to basically make liquid into a solid shape over my nails. This was the best manicure I've had in all my two years of living in Portland. And we had an awesome conversation! Highly recommend him. read more

Friendly, clean and very detailed service. Visited for the first time this evening after running errands and making an appointment. The massage chairs are great with adjustable settings but no heat. Huge selection of colors including opi. I was offered a beverage of choice when sitting down for my pedicure which really helped set the mood for some ME time away from twins. Huge win. My nails look fab and we even talked about a game plan to continue growing them and getting them stronger. The parrafin wax treatment to my hands and feet really helped seal in the Jasmine body butter I selected and I am appreciative of all the details each person in nails spa and republic puts into their work. Looking forward to returning. read more

We came in for pedicures. My daughter had a good female technician however, the male I had went to far on the callus removal and drew blood when cleaning my big toe. He didn't understand English. Thankfully, the the technician working on my daughter understood me and relayed my concerns. I would recommend going but don't have the younger guy for pedicure. read more

The owner, Tiffany, is absolutely awesome! I randomly found her salon after moving back to the area and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get their nails done. The salon is super clean and inviting, the staff is friendly, and Tiffany does the best GelX nails I've ever had! She's gentle and always makes sure they're just the way I want them -- and they've never broken, even after whitewater rafting and other adventures where I was pretty rough on them. read more

10 out of 10 recommend! Tiffany stayed late just to finish my set. And I was a walk in on a Sunday. I don't know how else to say, they take care of you here. also tons of colors and options! The pedicure and massage, absolutely relaxing for me on my day off. So happy I found this place! read more

I can never say enough positive things about everyone here! I've been here 4 times in the past few months and every single time everyone is so nice and so good at what they do! Tiffany is the newer owner and she's so amazing. She loves her customers and actively tries to get to know them. They take care of your natural nails by minimal use of any electronic filing and letting your gel soak off vs rushing the process. (YAY me) I know... TMI. But if you're worried about skin damage because of similar issues, she will take excellent care of you. The skin that was waxed is the clearest it's ever been after any wax I've had previously. I don't know enough about the process to know what would make my skin less irritated after. But I did do the mask afterwards. Overall I'm very impressed with the overall cleanliness, privacy, and quality to speed ratio. She took her time and was thorough but I was suffering because it was taking forever. Thank you again. Will absolutely be coming back in the future. I would post a photo.... This is a fairly new place in the area. I came because of a set of coupons I received (I think it's posted on their facebook too). Free pedicure with an eyelash extension?!? I'm so in. Made an appointment, and they they greeted me right on time. Oh free wifi and drinks (wine!). Ann, the technician who did my eyelashes, was so funny and friendly. It took her ~45 min to finish my lashes and the result was exactly what I wanted! My lashes look so full, long, and natural I love them! I waited for a while to write this review to see how long the lashes would stay. It's been 2 weeks and they still look great. Will go in for a fill soon though. Oh and the pedicure, even though it was free, they did a very good job! I paid a little extra to go with shellac and french tips. And ofcourse, the massage - best part! The coupon I have doesn't expire until a while so I am saving it for another visit - probably for my finger nails or wax. This will be my go-to place from now! :) read more

Kelly (the owner) has been doing my nails for a few years now, and is the only person I go to! She always does exactly what I ask her to do, and is so talented with her nail art! She is the sweetest lady, and her and her other employees do a fantastic job! You will not be disappointed! I am always more than happy with the way she does my nails. She is great at shaping them and giving me her opinion on what color I should do! I appreciate all of her hard work, and consider her a close friend! Here's were Nails & Spa Republic comes in for the rescue by giving us a same day appointment despite our short notice. From the moment we walked in our experience was wonderful, the space was nice, clean and welcoming. The nail technicians, particularly Kelly, were very sweet and accommodating and were happy to attempt some nail designs that we provided from our phones, and they turned out amazing! I love Kelly! She is amazing and always good perfecting the nails I want! She always is able to squeeze me in even if it is last minute and she is always willing to go above and for that I am staying around. Not often, but if a nail breaks, she fixes it for FREE as all other nail places I went to charges me! I really love going here but I have only had Kelly do my nails but I know everyone else leaves the clients very happy as well. 10/10 recommend. Walk ins are welcome but scheduling is preferred and makes it that much quicker! I definitely swear by them. read more

My first time here and I am happy with it. It is the good size salon, not too small that you feel like you are the only customer there, not too big that they don't know who you are. I went for a pedicure and wow there are options for you to choose from. I feel warm and welcomed in the salon, I like the fact that they want you to come back so they really provide you with the best possible service. I love their deluxe pedicure with Colagen socks, it's feel amazing, my feet look right a way different only one treatment. They also serve wine and soft drinks for my kids, very welcome atmosphere, the girl really helpful to pick the colors for me which make my decision faster. Never been somewhere with great people like that. And one thing I surprise that they have a lot loyalty clients make appointment, they will send people out if they can't take walk in not like the other nail salon owners would love to take every one and let them wait for hours. read more

STOP SEARCHING!! Kelly at Nail and Spa republic is the quality nail technician you're looking for! I usually don't leave referrals but I have to in this particular case. I lost my nail tech of 5 years 2 years ago because she moved to Southeast Portland and it was too far of a drive to go there. I have been searching for the last 2 years for somebody to do my nails with quality and I have finally found the one. They also give me world class customer service EVERY time I'm there. I've had the hardest time finding a nail tech that I love, but Kelly has ended my search! She's incredible. She's so kind and does an amazing job on my acrylics. I've converted all of my acrylic wearing girls to seeing Kelly. She strives to make our nails exactly how we want, even when we bring in crazy nail art ideas to try out!
