I called a couple hours prior to coming here. Just to make sure they had availability for 4 people (treated my mom and her two friends). They were really nice on the phone and were able to schedule all 4 us of at the same time. The nail spa was really clean, the staff are friendly (they give complimentary drinks), and they have a huge selection of colors to choose from. It is very disappointing that I feel compelled to share an updated review for this business. I've been a client for several months now. As time went on, I continued to get mistreated by man at the front desk. He would always be pleasant over the phone during booking my appointment. It wasn't until I showed up for my appointments where he would mistreat me. It was never warm or welcoming. I was met with "what do you need", "check in", "sit down". I noticed he never offered me a drink, but he would for others. I couldn't understand it. I was always polite, tipped very well to the woman who provided me a service (25%+), and never bailed on appointments and was always on time (not that these would be excusable to mistreat a customer). I decided yesterday was my last appointment with this business. The mistreatment and disrespect went too far. The man at the counter, same deal "what do you need", "check in", "sit down". At check out, I waited with my card, said hello. No reply. I waited. Finally the gal who serviced me stated the price, I paid. They don't allow card tip to I walked over to the salons ATM. It wasn't working. I asked the man "Hi, Is this ATM working?" He ignored me. He turned his head - showing me the back of his. I politely asked again, "Hello, has this machine given anyone else trouble, I received an error message". The man intentionally turns his head again (giving be his back) and puts his hand on the back of his head... I find the woman who provided the service, explaining and THEN he speaks up "You entered [the] wrong pin." I said, "Maybe, but this has been my pin for 22 years... I entered it correctly". The man stammers, "You entered [the] wrong pin." I venmo'd the gal her tip and left. This man was incredibly rude and patronizing to me. I do not know what I did to him -- but it's clear -- I had a target on my back each time I came into this business. I reported the man to one of the gals (she was very kind) but I'm writing this review in hopes the manager is notified and can provide this front desk worker with some critical and basic hospitality training. read more

I wanted to get acrylic nails again after 2 year s off of them. Was able to get an appt for the time and day requested so was happy with that. I had a girl named Holly do my nails and she did a great job. Wish I had gone shorter but that's on me. She was patient with me changing my mind about the colour. Unfortunately the manager who booked my appt did not tell me that it was only cash for tipping. Felt bad as we'd only been in the country for 3 days and I had none. It could not go on the card. They can usually get me in on short notice, which is nice, but the quality here is hit and miss for me. I usually leave a little disappointed. They don't always do a thorough job. The last couple times I've come in I have had to ask them to fix sloppy polish. This gel mani is going to look grown out in a week, and my toenails were cut crooked and the length is uneven. read more

Place was really nice. I want to give more stars but the woman doing the pedicure was so unfocused and sloppy. She spent 90% of the time whispering stuff into the pedicurist's ear next to her while tossing my feet around going through the motions. She was really rough and unskilled with the massage. She started shaving my foot with what looked like a cheese grater and nicked the back of my ankle and I now have a sore. In spite of this I left a 15% tip which she didn't even acknowledge when handed to her. Will not be back. read more

Very disappointed. I don't even know where to start. Paid for 2 pedicures that were OK. The lady did a fake cuticle cut where she just nipped at my cuticles but didn't pull anything off. I tried to pick out my color for my acrylics & I usually paint my own color at home but wanted to hopefully skip that & picked out the glitter gel I usually do on myself at home & she said they don't have that one anymore they only have these $7 more ones. I said ok never mind I'll just get clear because I can do the color I want at home. She said I can't do clear & she's sorry the glitter is more expensive because they "don't make glitter nail polish anymore" LOL WHAT?? So then I settled with black because whatever. I just needed my nails done before I go to an event in california in 3 days. Then she goes to do my nails. Huffs & puffs that I have gel on, has me soak my nails in alcohol & files them off. My nails are now extremely weak & she USED DIRTY TOOLS & NAIL BITS!! Then I told her I want long stiletto but she glued on two extremely curved nail tips. I asked her if she had straight ones because the curved won't work with the length & shape I want. She threw her tools down & said no. This will work when she puts the powder on-- miss I am actually educated on acrylics & this is all red flags. She then said let me ask my manager. She comes back over and says nothing to me but tries to glue on another curved tip. At this point I said absolutely not. Take these off I'm going somewhere else. She did not properly take them off & still had me pay $5 for the damage SHE caused. Luckily the girl next to me who was getting a pedicure saw the entire thing & handed me her business card. She did my nails incredibly & im grateful she not only witnessed this absolutely horrible experience but was able to take me in & do my nails better than that woman would've been able to. If you want a possible infection, possible bleeding, the possibility of having MMA (bone cement) instead of EMA, horrible customer service & a f**king b*tch do your nails & expected to still PAY FOR IT, go here. read more

We were stuck in Beaverton while our car was serviced so I called to see if Diamond Nails could get me in for a quick gel manicure. They were super kind, accommodating, and affordable. Should I be in the area again, I'll plan to visit. Suggestion: take cash with you as they only accept card payment for services, not for a tip. read more

Staff seemed moody and my nail tech was not the best. She did a half ass job. I still tipped her $20 because that's what I tip for nails ...but in hindsight I should've tipped a lot less or nothing at all. I included a photo of my nails 5 days out. Visited two times. I got a gel manicure on the first visit and it was decent. The tech told me I should try a dip manicure as it's better for nails. For the second visit, I called and was able to make an appt the same day. I got there 10 minutes early yet was seated 15 minutes after my appointment time. One tech put the polish remover and foil on and left to work on someone else. Another tech took over 25 minutes later. She was so rushed that she put oil on my cuticles and used that to give me a 5 second hand massage. I didn't get a hot towel either. Somehow my manicure took over an hour yet a lot of the service was cut short. Won't be going back there again. read more

I want to say I don't normally do this but my experience was not pleasant and I think it deserves an honest review. I will not be returning and this is why. I had read great reviews for this place and have been wanting to try them out for a while. I recently just started getting my nails done again and was looking for a new place. I called and made an appointment and came in with a design in mind, knowing it may be tricky but I didn't think it was anything crazy, plus I figured "it's a nail salon, this is what they do!" As I came in , I automatically was not greeted with a friendly or welcoming attitude. The man sat me at my station and told me to pick a color. I told him I had a picture and asked if someone could do it. He said yes, so I sat and waited. He started on my nails and automatically kept hitting my skin with the machine without saying sorry. Everyone around me was getting asked if they wanted drinks or offered wine and I wasnt asked once. As a new comer, I thought that was odd. Finally my nail tech sat down and I showed her the picture. She hesitated and I saw the look of dread on her face. I said to her "are you able to do this? If not we can do something else.." she said "yeah I can." But it didn't sound convincing. She insisted she could do it but it would take a long time. I said that's fine but I should of known then by her lack of enthusiasm to have her try. BTW, the design was neon lines. My nail tech was sweet to try and take on the design but I ended up not liking it by the third finger so as politely as I could I told her I didn't like it and asked kindly if we could just do something else. (The lines were very sloppy and it just looked awful) This was extremely hard for me to speak up because I felt bad and am a very kind person and hate to do that but I feel I am paying good money for my nails and its my treat for myself and I want to love them ya know?? She gave me an eye roll and a look of frustration, rightfully so because I know the lines were taking up her time, and I said we could just keep it plain...she again insisted she could do another design and I said ok. Mistake number 2. It was just a simple line on the side and it turned eeeh ok? But not what I wanted but better than before but man I have brush hair in the pinks of my nails, there is left over color inside the pink, the pink is splotchy and edges of my pinks don't cover the entire nail and the colored lines are just sloppy. She also went from barely saying a word to me when I was all excited to get my nails to asking me a million questions once she realized I was quiet and unhappy. It was just awkward and It just looks bad! I'm not trying to be rude but honest and I didn't say anything cuz at that point I just wanted to go home. I wish I could get a refund but I ended up tipping more than I should because I simply just felt bad when I asked for 5's back out of my 20 she just gave me 1 five. I guess it should of been the opposite where she should of felt bad for doing such a poor job. I was very surprised she wasn't apologetic. I'm sure she was tired too. It feels so silly to let a bad set of nails ruin my day and mood but I guess my trigger is that I am spending my own hard earned money on something that is suppose to make you feel better and not worse. I look forward on getting my nails done! I guess if anything comes out of this, my nail tech was nice but if someone can't do a design or doesn't feel confident I would just appreciate them saying no or having me go with a tech who could do it. I also now know to ask ahead of time if I can get someone who can do fun designs. Also being more welcoming and friendly would help. I understand this place has amazing reviews and lots of great experiences but unfortunately that was not mine. Instead now im very sad and unhappy with my nails and will have to spend extra money to get them redone somewhere else. read more

I took my daughters (Toddlers) for mani and Pedi today and the lady doing my daughters nails touched my daughters stomach and said: your kids eats good! i was so surprised by her comment i had to ask again what she said. i made sure she knew my thoughts about her comments and requested another person to do my daughters nails. I've lived in Portland for a year now and after SEVERAL trial and error salons, I'm happy to say I've found my favorite nail shop!! I now always come to Diamond Nails & Spa-- I've gotten Gel, dip, pedicures, and even when you just want to get your nails off, I've never been hurt from the acetone or drilling. A few times I've had hangnails or cuts below my cuticle on my finger and when I let them know, they carefully and safely cared to my nails. I've never had a nervous sweat (due to the heat from the drills or techs cutting into my cuticles) and can actually relax when I get my nails done here!! She also used the tool to take the gel polish off after I asked not to. My nails are so soft now, they are bending and ripping. I came here with my mom and sister visiting town and we all had a relaxing, quiet, patient & clean experience. We didn't feel rushed one bit even though it was busy, and our nail technicians were very personable, detail-oriented/perfectionists and advised on our color choices. We got dip/powder for our finger nails, and regular polish for our toes. I also brought along my cute little dachshund that sat on my lap. I definitely look forward to going back and making this my go-to salon, especially with the very large selection of dip/powder colors. We arrived slightly late because there was an accident on the way.
