Booked myself in for an eyelash extension and shellac manicure and was very happy with the results. Beaverton Nails and Spa does not look fancy and they don't really take walk-ins as it is run by husband and wife. I am glad they had a spot open the day after I called as I had a wedding to attend. For a total of $115 plus tip the eyelash extensions were done within an hour and shellac completed in half. The owner even asked me what look I wanted for eyelash extensions and if I had a picture for her to work off on which is great as I had never been asked that. Her hand was very stable and gentle and by the time I woke up my lashes were done with no pain and only a bit of a watery eye (as I wear contacts). Usually by the end of the week of an extension they start to clump and fall off or I've had to pull some off as they just hurt so bad and were really plastiky but these were great! The shellac was neat and I love the color selection and friendliness of the staff. Here they give you your own buffer and nail file (is this an American thing?) to keep in a ziplock bag for next time and the salon even has a kiddy chair for pedicures. As it is a family business, you may see their 2 kids completing homework or taking a nap out the back so don't be too surprised. The owners seem to work hard and have a lot of regular customers and I would totally come back here if I lived in Portland. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The way they apply lash extensions can cause PERMANENT damage to your natural lashes. I got my lashes done on 12/31 and by the next night could feel a heavy/pulling/tight sensation on my eye lid. After waiting the required 24 hours to touch my lashes, I look a closer look and found the technician, Tara, applied too much glue and the glue was stuck to my eyelid (which is not good because it can cause your natural eyelashes to pull out and can cause permanent lash damage), I also noticed there were multiple extensions glued to multiple natural lashes and just clustered together, which isn't good for the same reason as the glue on the eyelid. It can cause tension that will rip out your natural lashes. I called and made an appt on 1/3 to get them fixed and they told me they intentionally put the glue on the eyelid and mustered multiples together so they would last longer. I explained why that's not the correct way to apply them and asked for them to be repaired and/or removed and they again said that's how they were supposed to be put on and refused. I explained I just wanted them fixed or removed and they again continued to say they did it that way intentionally and refused. Terrible customer service and incorrect application that could cause permanent lash damage. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

I've been going to Beaverton Nails for years. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and knew I would eventually lose my hair. My 5 year old granddaughter started my haircut and William and I had fun making it shorter and more presentable. I had planned to pay him more, but he gave me the haircut as my "cancer gift".
