I get ingrown toenails and even though uncomfortable they take care of them easily-last two pedis have left me with anxiety and not wanting to go back! My nails always come out how I ask, but when doing a pedi u should not be answering and taking personal calls. Last two times I was in tears! Yes toes felt better but toes red and bleeding for over a week after . I kept saying ouch, she wasn't listening! Love supporting a small shop but knowing what a customer needs and realizing when they are in pain is a bit much...time to start looking elsewhere and breaks my heart because the ladles are personable and lovely But If I'm telling you stop you're hurting me it shouldn't continue! I really like getting my pedicures done here. I tend to get ingrown toenails and they do an awesome job ensuring I leave pain free. I originally made a review based off a dip manicure I wasn't happy with. I didn't do a great job communicating how unhappy I was in the moment. The manager saw my review and contacted me within 24 hours. She was apologetic for how unhappy I was and scheduled a time for me to come in and redo the nails I wasn't satisfied with. The group of ladies that work here are always so nice during my visits. I always recommend this salon and I encourage clients to communicate with whoever is doing their nails as they are always willing and wanting fix something you want different or are unhappy with. I've been going to this place for a few months now. I personally like that they focus a lot on the cuticles because my fingers look way better but if you're not comfortable with that, make sure to let them know ahead. Love the pedicures as well. I don't know if this is a good nail salon, I've have had my feet In this tub for 45 mins and I was told 20 mins ago that they would be with me 10 minutes ago. I gave myself an hour and a half and I don't even know if I will have time. Also I've never gotten a pedicure in Oregon, we moved here from California and I haven't gotten a pedicure since. When I walked in they asked me if I had a box, no one does that in California. The lady gave me a nasty look for not having it. If I had known I would have gotten it before. I didn't need to be treated badly because I didn't know. I'm also partially deaf, and I can't hear very well especially with all the drills going. They didn't speak loud enough and I couldn't understand what they were saying which was horrible and embarrassing. They also complained about my feet being rough and my toenails being too short. I hate being taken advantage of. I read all the great reviews here and called to see how much a full set with shellac would be. They said $35. After my nails were done, they wanted $45. It was $10 more because of the shape I choose?! Oval. No mention of that when I answered the question. This was just a cheap attempt to get more money out of me. New customer surcharge, I guess, but no way to get repeat business. The reviews make this place sound wonderful. They must be shills. This place is tiny, dirty, with exposed pipes leading to the pedicure chairs. My tech was using an old milk jug for a garbage can. One nail brush was at the sink for everyone to use. This last time was awful, she cut my skin!!! on both big toes and my nails in a bad way... great for manicures, they take their time, for pedicures theyre always over cutting my nails to where theyre shaped awkwardly. i understand to cut nails regularly but my nail is the the shape of a triangle, i asked for shellac and got regular, they spent more time massaging my legs then the actual nail painting itself, took 20 minutes to prep my leg and nail and spent 5 minutes on the paint.... proceeds to sent me out after in the rain with paper flip flops, and expected me to be happy with their service. ive been going here for years and this is the worst one theyve done yet. Very friendly. Kinda rough and lady went crazy on the cuticle cutting. She cut way too much I'm raw red and bleeding on many fingers. Strokes are clean but little messy for my liking, by that I mean too close to cuticles so when my nails grow it will be lifted and my hair will get caught for sure. First time visiting this nail place, 2 weekends ago. It was nearby and I was in need of a mani and pedi. I was happy to see right when I walked in, I was sat in a chair and my 5yr old also got a mani. I was very disappointed on my shellac mani. When I asked if they can fix it because it was up to my cuticles they didn't listen and said it will last longer. Their regular nail polish is old when they put it on my toes, it was really bad. I believe the owner try to fix it by adding something to nail polish and fixing the nail polish on my toes. 2 hrs later when I got home and started to get ready for an event, the nail polish from one of my toe nails came off. Last time I came it took almost 3 hours to just get a full and normal pedicure, the tech messed up the paint on my nails and I had to go so I called and complained to not make a scene. After searching on yelp I decided to stop in for a pedicure. The staff were not friendly. I'm very disappointed they did not use a callus remover. Also they do not have a Pedicure dryer instead used a small space heater. After leaving the paint is smudged on both feet. My feet look the same way they did before I came. They do a good job at cleaning up nails, ingrown and such. Staff is friendly. My feet look good when I leave. But I personally get pedis for the massage and this place doesn't give good massages. They are rushed, they stop massaging to visit with each other, and I feel the opposite of relaxed when they are massaging. It's hard and fast movements, not slow and deep. read more

I recently moved to the area & have been looking for a new "home salon". I drive by Fancy Nails every day & decided to give them a shot. I called to make an appointment for a fill & a pedicure & they said they had time right away. Upon arrival, the salon looks cute & quaint, & the staff was super friendly. They sat me in a pedicure chair right under the AC duct. After 10 minutes or so I was offered a blanket, which was thoughtful & much appreciated. The ladies were professional, sanitary, & thorough, & they all did a great job. 4 stars only because I made a point to call ahead & still had to wait nearly 45 minutes for anyone to get started on me. Meanwhile a woman walked in with 3 young boys in tow, & they started her immediately. Soon after, another woman walked in with her young son & they started her right away as well. Perhaps the children waiting for their mothers was a factor, I'm not sure. But otherwise, I have no complaints. They did a great job. read more

Went in with a bridal party of seven for mani's and pedi's. We had a reservation and we were quickly waited on. The ladies were friendly and pleasant. However, we could have gotten better manicures and pedicures at a butcher shop. With the exception of one person, everyone was cut at least once on their hands or feet. Honestly pretty sad that I have to write this review because I have been going here for a very long time probably more then 5 years , But anyways I went in for a simple eyebrow wax & before even laying down I told the lady I just wanted a simple eyebrow clean up , she proceeded to wax my eyebrows & when she showed me my brows I literally wanted to burst out crying in that moment .. she had waxed basically most of my brows and left them all uneven . My brow bone was basically exposed and I clearly stated I just wanted my brows cleaned up nothing drastic , she proceeded to say that's how she remembered I liked them ?! Like excuse me you don't go based off memory ! You do what the customer asks & if she had any questions she could have asked me in that moment about my preference if she was unsure instead of doing what she wanted . I asked for a refund and they refused & offered me a gift certificate... why would I want to go back after that horrible experience. Never going back & I suggest you go elsewhere , as you can tell based of other bad reviews they will not refund you or do anything to try to make things better . read more

Bad experience for my first time getting my nails done. They were rude and felt rushed to decide on my choices, I got yelled at for not paying before my nails were wet. I could have easily paid after they were dry but they insisted on me paying right there and then. It irritated me because one of the lady's there reached for my bag to get to my wallet without asking (the lady had already started painting one hand, so one hand was wet), it made me feel obligated to pay at that moment because I didn't want them to have the impression that i wasn't going to pay. My friend was lending me some of her money for my nails that day (we planned it all last minute so I didn't have enough, I went shopping and the appointment she made wasn't enough time for me to go and get $$) so I had to explain to the lady that I had to get some money from my friend who was also getting her nails done. When we went over to her I told her what was happening so the lady once again went into her bag for her wallet (all her nails were wet). Before we went over I had told the lady I only needed $20 from my friend (for my $30 purchase)but when it came to it she didn't listen and was taking more money than necessary. It all got sorted out after that and the right amount was paid. A couple more things happened yesterday but this is already long. I like how my nails turned out but I wouldn't come here again after the service they gave. read more

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. They are nice, welcoming, and a full service salon. My daughters got their toenails painted and I went in for a pedicure with French tip. They are reasonably priced and the lady gave me a good deal for my girls pedicures. We don't get pedicures often, yet we are traveling down to California for a wedding and we wanted to make sure our feet looked nice! The reason for the 3 star is the lady who did my nails, cut my big toe nails too short. The sides she cut deep, even after I winced in pain and asked her not cut it too short because I don't want an ingrown toe nail or worse an infection. She proceeded to say I was too sensitive and my toes were "dirty" so she had to cut my nails super short to clean it. Maybe there was a bit of a language barrier. Yet I kept pulling my toe back in pain and she kept cutting it short, saying I was being too sensitive. Everyone's feet and toes are different and my toes have extra thicker skin so it's painful when the nails are cut too short. I'd rather have them file it down then keep cutting it short. Anyway I really wanted to like this place because it's close to my house, had great reviews, and the owner was very friendly. I wish maybe she had done my nails instead of the lady who did. My big toe was red looks like she cut it accidently. Although she said it wasn't bleeding. 1 day later it's painful still and I'm hoping I don't get an ingrown toe nail during the family trip. Next time I'll just stick to the place I always go instead of trying a new place. Again they are nice and I hope other have a better experience than me at this salon. read more

(Literally made my finger bleed) I Wouldn't recommend this unsanitary shop to anyone. I felt super rushed & Unwelcomed. My nails were done in less then 15 minutes!! with the result of them being uneven & lumpy. I was super embarrassed of them.2 days later... I called them back to ask if I could get them redone because they were already lifting & chipping & she told me to come back in and when I do she tells me she can only redo 1 nail? Really tried to like this place. Went twice a month for a fill for about 5 months now. Have had 2 pedicures also, they were pretty good. Easy to get in without an appointment which is always worrisome. So I've given them more than enough chances. Not sanitary at all. I had a nail tech with a cold blow her nose and begin work on my nails without washing her own hands. When I mentioned it to her and asked her to please wash her hands first, she got very offended, didn't talk to me the rest of the time and did a horrible job on shaping and painting. She was also very rough, burning my nail bed with the file, using too much pressure. The waxing/facial room is also a real mess! Looks like a teenagers messy bedroom. They also eat at their stations and don't clean up before the next client sits down. Ever since that first bad experience, I tried to get the owner to do my nails. She said she would fix my nails for free which was nice. She does a very nice job and is very gentle. But one day she then cut me with the electric file and blamed it on me, she said I shouldn't have pulled my arm away. I'm sorry, but if i get cut my first reaction will be to pull my hand back. She also got very sullen when my skin kept bleeding and never apologized and has never been friendly to me since then although I kept coming back and even brought friends for pedicures. Each time my friends have also been cut when getting toe nails done. Unfortunately I feel super uncomfortable and unwelcome and I shouldn't feel that way since I'm paying for a service. They also don't like tips to be added to the tip section on the receipt, and always ask for cash or to be added to the total. Weird. I'm done! On the lookout for a new salon. read more
