I've been going to this salon for close to 10 years. Then found out the owners sold with no notice to their clients. I had my first appointment today with the new owner Bumblebee. She was excellent. Wonderful personality and friendly. I have 2 ingrown toe nails and she was able to fix them rather painlessly. Even better than the podiatrist. The salon was booming with many phone calls for others to schedule. Bumblebee did an excellent pedicure. She has 18 years in management. She's really cleaned up the place. It hasn't been this clean since the first owners. Amy and Ken were very nice but it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise and excellent service. To those of you who are bashing the new owners I suggest you give them a try. Well worth it, prices the same and while most are Vietnamese they also speak more English. I appreciate it. The past all of the staff spoke Vietnamese and it didn't feel very polite to other customers. Please give the new owner - Bumblebee and her staff a chance. You won't be disappointed. And she's really got the place cleaned up. One thing that really impressed me she uses now pedicure packs with the scrubber etc a new one every time. I never thought of it before because everyplace else has you reuse the supply. She said with the damp scrubber you're just breeding bacteria because it's damp when you had it to the baggie with everything else. It makes perfect sense and being a retired. OR nurse I'm surprised I didn't think of it. I know this is long, and like I said Ken and Amy were great but they didn't keep the salon clean. Very dusty. I was pleased how clean the salon was when I walked in. Again please give Image Nails on 99 a chance you'll be pleasantly surprised. And quit bashing the new owner until you've tried them. I came in requesting simple nails with French tips and specifically asked to be with Krystal, but I was seated with a different technician at the fourth desk, a woman who wears glasses. To clarify, I was charged $60, not $100. In my review, I stated that I was being told I would be charged almost $100 for French tips -- not that I paid that amount. That conversation is what upset me, especially since the French tips were uneven, my nails were crooked, and then wiped off after I asked if they could be fixed. I left with unfinished nails and no resolution offered. I then had to go to another salon to have them corrected. This experience is why I left the review. I'm so disappointed. I went in with fresh, healthy finger nails and wanted a dip polish. The woman took off layers of my nail and completely removed all my cuticles with a bur (which was sharp and painful). When removing the dip, the bur got really hot many times and felt like it was burning. Many more layers of my nails were removed. Now every single nail has broken into stubs, the enamel these broken thin layers that just keep breaking. I don't know how many months it will take to have healthy nails... but never again. read more

I went in on Friday evening for a regular manicure. My experience in the salon was good - beautiful and clean space, relaxing, employees were kind. The polish looked a little uneven once it was all done but I didn't mind that much. However, I am sooo disappointed by how long my manicure lasted. Again, I came in on Friday at 5:30pm - polish started chipping Saturday night! 24 hours after I got them done. By Monday all 10 fingernails were chipping away. I don't know anyone who would pay $38 (including tip) to have a nice manicure for only 1 day. :-( I don't know if it's this specific polish but such a bummer. read more

I went in at 11:30 on Mother's Day without an appt for an acrylic fill and pedicure, they were very busy and they politely asked me to come back (no problem at all). They wrote me down for 1:15, came back at that time and was out by 2:30! Hannah did my pedicure and Krystal started on my nails during the pedicure. Very efficient! By the time my pedicure was done I only needed polish on my nails! The ladies did a wonderful job, very quick while maintaining high quality of work. Good conversation too which I personally always appreciate. I also think it's super neat they have the UV light built into the desks near your lap so it doesn't take up any of their work space. I went in today to get my nails done- it was a 6 weeks postpartum gift from my boyfriend and my first time leaving the house by myself since giving birth. Needless to say- I was very excited. I went to Image nails and spa because it had good reviews and I liked the nails I saw. I went in for a pedicure and acrylic set. First of all- my pedicure was 15 minutes from the time I sat down to the time I got up. It was $45. I don't know about you but if I'm paying $45 for ANYTHING I was the full service. I still have calluses on my feet. Then went on to my nails. As soon as she started she broke skin. You can't see in the picture but 8 fingers out of 10 are cut in some way. She told me from the beginning what I asked for was $65. Whatever, no biggie because I really liked them. I did not even get remotely what I asked for. She wanted to cut them so so short and when I wanted them a tad longer "that'll be $5 extra". For the length I asked for? When she got to my pointer finger she cut the cuticle so bad it couldn't stop bleeding. Other employees were making jokes about it around us. Long story short- don't go here. They might have someone who works there capable of doing nails but it seems like they do low quality for outrageous prices. If this could be fixed I don't want a nail credit here- I want my money back. read more

I got my grad nails done here last year and I enjoyed it even though there were some minor mistakes, they fixed it quickly the next day. This time around, I got solar nails and they did not push my cuticles back, part of my nails were jagged, one nail looks more stiletto and the point is off-center, and I left with some glue ON and around my fingertips and cuticles. Once I removed the glue from my fingers, one nail's cuticle was ripped off and it looked like new growth, as if I got my nails done a week ago rather than a couple of hours ago. I am so disappointed. I didn't notice until I got home, there should be at least quality checks done by the nail techs to stop this from happening. Some nails have small bubbles or ridges and one nail on my hand looks longer than the nail on the other hand too... I used to come here as my go-to but I will not be returning. Also they charge you for certain shapes here, like almond and for cuticle prep. This information should be listed somewhere as I could've done my cuticle prep before coming in. Getting your nails done is pricey as it is and not including the shape or cuticle prep in the service was a surprise. I used to have it included in my service, I don't know when it changed as I don't routinely get my nails done. I called the nearest salon and they don't charge for shape. read more

Never consistent prices, i will tell two different situations (it was always common for them to up-charge 3-6 dollars but now it's horrible) all within this late summer into last week. Me and my mom went to get a pedicure and said we wanted a classic and even pointed it out to clarify, they then get us shellac and charged us now double what we expected. The second was i get my under arms waxed which is 18 dollars they have it posted in the front, after i finish and went to pay she told me 30 i than pointed out the 18 dollar sign next to the underarm wax she looked at me then to another lady and told me 20. I was very disappointed with the service. I called 5 hours in advance to make an appointment for 6pm which is one hour before their closing time, and they said I could come in. As soon as I got there, they were in a hurry to do my nails. The lady who did my nails was rude and was talking with her colleague the whole time. The instruments looked abit shady/used so I asked if it was sterilized. She said "yeah" looked at me like I owed her an apology for asking that. Then she started talking in her language with her colleague again. Nails are not done properly, only the middle area is covered with shellac and all the edges are empty. I hadn't had a pedicure in months, wanted to treat myself so stopped in. The pedicure was lacking, from filing and shaping my toenails like fingernails, rather than straight across.. to too speedy of a massage. I was told to set for 10 minutes for polish to dry, which I did. After that time the polish was still wet. I requested a pair of their thin flips seeing the polish was wet. The tech took my card to charge me $2 for their flip flops, to which the other girls told her machine was already off for the day. They asked for cash, I said I didn't have cash or coin in the amount of $2. They wanted them back. I did end up leaving with them on my feet, after some back and forth and me asking why they want them back at that point when they had been on my feet and would need to be thrown away.
