This review is for Emily M. She cut my hair in November 2024 and its taken me 8 months to grow it out. She gave me a curly cut and charged me nearly $120. - I have wavy hair but sometimes straighten it - the layers in the back ended in the middle of my head and I couldn't straighten it for 6 months because it looked awful - it wouldn't lay flat and had a huge dip towards the bottom. It looked insane. - She cut so much from underneath my hair looked stringy on all sides when wavy and uneven on the sides if straightened. - Front layers around my face were completely uneven - I went to a different stylist and she pointed out everything she still couldn't fix and how the front "blending" wasn't blended, and showed where I had pieces that were still very short on one side and longer on another. After 6 months of growing it out. I work in a professional environment and got feedback from my manager that I should "spring for a decent haircut" after she cut my hair. This wasn't inexpensive at all. Emily seemed distracted and had mentioned that she relocated from a different salon in the city and hadn't brought any clients along with her. She is a nice lady but it is not professional, honest and borders on unethical for her to present herself as an experienced, seasoned professional and charge a rate appropriate for that skill level only to start the appointment late and completely ruin my hair for the better part of a year. read more

I visited this salon with high hopes, as Jeremy was able to get me in super quickly. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the conversation was good, and the hair looked okay, I woke up the next morning and noticed with better light that the stylist had left quite large bleach splotches in my hair, and the cool toned blonde I had asked for actually turned into an unpleasant orange tint. Recognizing the issue, I texted Jeremy and requested a correction. He relayed that he did not have any availability before I was scheduled to leave town, which led me to have to seek help from another salon to fix the botched job. Given my time constraints and his inability to correct my hair within a few days, I thought it reasonable to ask for a refund; not for the cut, which I was happy to pay for, but for the coloring service, given that I did not receive the outcome I requested and was promised. Jeremy then outright accused me of lying, insisting that the subsequent salon I went to for corrections must have been the one to mess up my hair (I'm still struggling to understand this logic; why would I have gone to a second salon to mess up my hair if his original service had been satisfactory?) He then began threatening me with his "lawyer", and proceeded to find and stalk me on social media. I understand that salons have certain policies on refunds; it's unfortunate, but had he handled it in a more respectful way, I would've understood. Instead, Jeremy instantly went to blaming me for lying, and the harassment that continued was just completely unacceptable. The lack of professionalism and customer care was both alarming and concerning. I contacted the salon owner, hoping she could help resolve the issue and to let her know about my experience, but she did not seem that alarmed by his behavior. I expected at least an acknowledgment of the mistake or an apology, neither of which I received. Truly a wild experience, and I'm mostly just shocked above all else about how my disappointment was handled and the subsequent harassment. I cannot recommend this salon at all after such a negative experience. Would recommend others steer clear! read more

Jeremey! The first time I met Jeremy I thought, what a friendly face! He is so sweet, personable, and talented at what we go to him for! He's very knowledgeable on color! I have Asian hair and it's always really hard and unpredictable to color dark, thick, and LONG, hair but he has executed whatever color I've throw his way, he's taken me light, to dark, to light! He's just a gem, and I plan on sticking with him for the entirety of his career years! The salon itself is so cute! Parking right outside! Such a cozy spot, the owner was so hospitable and sweet! There is so much around the salon, if you arrive early it's fun to go walk around and grab a coffee and browse the shops. Anywho! Love Jeremy, love the shop! Book and go! Excellent! First I will say that Anoosheh squeezed me into her schedule at a weird time and for that I am so grateful!! I needed someone to lift my roots, which tbh were way too long due to unforeseen circumstances, and Anoosheh did an amazing job! I have very dark hair and I get my hair lightened to platinum every 5-6 weeks and it had been a few MONTHS. Anoosheh got the lift gently without scalp irritation. She gave me a super cute pixie haircut. She's also a delightful person to chat with - that's so important when you're spending a long time in the chair! Feels so good to have my hair all fresh! I'm so glad I decided to try a salon so much closer to home. I'm always nervous to try a new place, when it comes to my hair and nails. The saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it" always comes to mind.. while I will always love pure salon and Lori, I don't really enjoy a huge drive and the hassle to find parking.. and I'm very fortunate that this place is not that far from me. Parking was a breeze. It's located in the old part of Downtown Beaverton. The salon owner was fantastic, and the energy was inviting. Angie did my hair and she was just a firey Brazilian beauty and took good care of my textured hair. Gave a great scalp massage (which in most salons is extra) and my hair tuned out prettier than how I came in! I ended my visit with Mahsa, who not only was a gem but great attention to detail with my nails. She had an excellent selection of gel polish to select from, even being just a one woman show. My biggest thing is my cuticles and she took care of them like a champ! I had the best time! Priced right, and definitely found a charming new place for my beauty needs! I had my hair cut by Angie and the entire experience as well as her skills were amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable and I found she is always up to date with the latest hair trends. I came in because 1. I was overdue for a haircut anyway and 2. I fried my hair with my straightening iron so I needed quite a bit chopped off of my long hair. Thinking I was going to have to cut a lot off, she found a way to keep my hair visibility long while getting rid of the major pieces of damage. Obviously I'm going to have to come back for trims to get rid of more of the damaged hairs that were closer to my head, but she worked wonders on my hair! As a final statement, I just moved to Portland/Beaverton and needed a new hairstylist. I was nervous about trying to find a good fit and jumping right in. I'm glad I did it with the stylists at Salon Blue. I called Anoosheh and she was so friendly and wonderful. I didn't have times that worked with her so she got me into contact with Angie who was very nice and patient about my tricky schedule.
