Since clearly you want your clients to do your job for you. DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR HAIR COLORED! I went in to get blonde ombre color done with my hair, and it looks like garbage. Not only does my hair look nothing like the photo I showed her, it is YELLOW, with no dimension, and no blending. She clearly has no idea what she is doing b/c she did not add enough toner. She DID NOT even blow dry my hair before I left, so I had no idea how HORRIBLE it looked until I got home. I think the reason she didn't blow dry it is because she made a huge mistake. She also charged me $200 and the website says $150. This is the worst experience I have ever had getting my hair done. Avoid going here at all cost. read more

I came for my haircut with a Groupon for Mila a few days ago. When I got there we talked about that I wanted a trim. She said 2 inches and I said I wanted to keep it long but ok. After she washed my hair she started cutting without saying anything, she didn't pin it up to cut in sections. She hacked MORE THAN 4 INCHES off! She blow dried my hair and cut away even more. When she was finished I kept pulling at my hair hoping the curl is what made it look shorter. I measured when I got home. I am so upset. She didn't listen to anything I said, she just did what she thought was right disregarding what I wanted. I know it had been a while due to covid, but I did not need 4 inches taken off, and even if I did I specifically said I wanted to keep it long. I'm pissed. I've never had hair this short! I really like this cute little salon, especially when trying to social distance since the chairs are spread out. I was able to relax and get a nice haircut over the course of about 45 mins and only encountered a couple other people aside from my stylist - all others were more six feet away and all wearing masks. The products they use are so great and the staff is super friendly! I have left every visit so happy with my haircut and would highly recommend any of the stylists! The prices are also really reasonable and they have online scheduling!!!! So easy to schedule from their website without even calling. They have big comfy chairs and the washing station has a place to rest your head and neck. Overall everything I am hoping for a in haircut experience! Very displeased with my haircut, I thought the stylist and I were in the same page and she didn't even take what I told her I wanted into consideration. I said I want 10 inches off to donate and then just a trim and bangs, with long wispy side bangs.... I'm left with a super short extremely choppy short bob with the side bangs shorter than my chin, exactly what I said I didn't want because of my round face. Considering my hair was mid-back, AFTER cutting the 10 inches off. She just went ahead and did what she thought was best and not what I told her. I tried to not cry and just left. If you have blonde hair & you like having blonde hair do NOT go here. I wanted to try a new place and I totally regret it. I showed a photo of ashy blonde hair only to end up with a mix of brunette, and strawberry blonde. I was very upset. I was then told by the stylist that girls with blonde hair are fake and that my hair was so much better now. Granted it did feel healthy. However it was not the color I wanted at all and now I have to pay to have it redone somewhere else. Very disappointed with my experience. read more

Mila cut and colored my hair and I absolutely love it. I had previously gone to Pulse Salon downtown Portland and paid a lot of money to get balayage, but the hair stylist gave me ombre instead and she fried my hair in the process. Mila was able to put some life and luster back into my hair using highlights and low lights, gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had and did my eyebrows which look perfect. She is very smart, comfortable to be around and excellent at understanding the 'big' picture-taking into account your skin color, shape of face, etc. I plan to stick with this salon and Mila. read more

I moved to the west side 4 years ago and started that dreaded search for a new stylist. I read a bunch of reviews of places and decided to go to one very close to me. I ended up seeing Miranda and she did an amazing job with my haircut on visit #1. I have followed her as she's moved to 2 new locations without a hesitation of finding someone new. She's just that fantastic. Sheer PDX is run by her good friend so I think she's here to stay for a while, phew! She's done cuts and phenomenal color on my hair for almost 4 years now, she cuts my daughter's hair (from age 5 and still till 7 now), she even cuts my husbands hair. Truly - give her a chance! This review is for Katya (the salon owner). I came to her with a color correction request on my very thick mane (meaning I have a ton of hair) -- I had a screwed up balayage with dark uneven spots all over my roots that another stylist at another salon did to remove dark color I previously had. Katya was very patient and caring from the very beginning -- she took time to listen to me describing the history of my hair and the wanted end result. Then she took time to prep my hair for coloring with reconstructive and clarifying treatments. After that she did the complex color correction (I had probably a few pounds of foil on my head, lol) and finished with toning and another treatment to strengthen the hair and prevent damage. She also gave me a wonderful cut (best I've had in the last 11 years). She spent a total of 8(!) hours on my hair staying positive and patient through the process. This might seem long, but it's typical for a REAL and thorough color correction. Katya took that time to do everything possible to repair hair from past damage, do a proper color correction and to prevent any further damage from occurring. The salon is very cozy, light and airy. It was a pleasure to be there for that long time. Also, considering that Katya uses only organic hair products, I appreciated the lack of chemical smell inside and liked the way the products reacted with my very sensitive skin. Another thing to mention: Katya really listened to me when I told her I wanted an ashier, cooler tone on my hair; and I walked out with exactly what I wanted (actually, it was even better than I'd imagined). Most hairdressers that I've deal with in the past never did that; they'd promise ashy tones, but always used something else -- I would in fact walk out with really warm, almost brassy color.
