I have been seeing Mackenzie for all my hair needs for probably 8 years now. I've never once been disappointed. Her ability to consult and read what I'm trying to ask for is always on point. She pays so much attention to detail and goes above and beyond to perfect whatever look I throw at her. She seems to always be honest and realistic with what's possible as far as color changes go. She really seems to understand how coloring and bleaching hair works. The price always reasonable and worth the investment. She sells unite products, which is my absolute favorite hair care line. I was able to get a last minute, same day appointment when the stylist I had an appointment with at another salon called out sick. The lady who answered the phone was super friendly and helpful. The stylist (Nikki, I think) did a good job on cutting my hair. She colored my hair okay (nothing spectacular). I called the other day to make another appointment, though, and learned that she was no longer with this salon. Bummer. It's too far from home and work, though, so I won't be back. I love Malihe. She is super nice, and she is a perfectionist. She has a knack for making highlights look so natural you'd think it was your Real color. She is also amazing at getting me in on short notice.....she is a workaholic! Unfortunately, I just lost my job, so I have to start going cheaper. I had the worst hair cut ever here. I literally wanted my dead ends trimmed, long layers and some whispy side bangs, so that my hair looked a bit healthier and textured. Instead, she cut about 5 inches off (I've been growing my hair out for a year) and it's super choppy and it looks like I belong in an emo punk rock band. I went home and cried for a few hours and clearly, I'm still not over it. Guess I'll wear a pony tail for the next few months... Would love my $70 back. read more

Mimi Liu was my "stylist." She only uses a razor to cut hair, so she literally does a hack job on hair. It is now four months since she cut my hair and every day I look in the mirror and think "WORST haircut EVER." I asked to have the hair cut so that it is out of my face, and shorter overall. She hacked off the back and left it long in the front (IOW, the complete opposite of what I asked). When I said I did not want hair in my face, she replied that I could "tuck it behind my ears," although it was probably good that she stopped butchering my hair when she did. I went to another salon and the stylist did what she could to mitigate the damage, but she said that there was not a lot that could be done (I repeat "WORST haircut EVER"). I had read the reviews of this salon before going in person to make an appointment. All the reviews were so positive--maybe too positive to be genuine. The manager referred me to Mimi. My suggestion is that you make an appointment only with the named stylists that have lots of good reviews, or better talk to someone who has had their hair done there. Do not let the manager push you to her newest chair rental stylist. read more

I called here on a Saturday after the Bella salon refused to do my roots after an appointment I made .The lady on the phone said we are busy but come in we can help you. I explained what I wanted to the stylist Yun and she said no problem. And couldn't understand why the other stylist said she would need more time to do my hair. Yun was a very sweet and understood my concerns and desires. It took her two hours not 4 and I absolutely loved my hair. And I always tip 25 percent. This is a great salon. I don't have my hair done as often as I should so I came in with faded color, damaged hair and split ends. Braydeen was wonderful! She listened to me, made me a nice cup of tea and took her time on my hair. She did exactly what I wanted ( based on my hair type of course) and I left the salon feeling great! I was a bit nervous going to a new salon. I had gone to my same stylist for years and years, and she has been great, really, until the last time I had requested her to do a bit of a more daring cut. I wanted an a-line cut, shorter, MUCH shorter in the back and stacked/layered. She did it, well, sort of. I wasn't happy with it but since Ziba is so close to home, I decided to give it a whirl and see if they could fix this cut to my liking. I was able to get in same day with Bradeen. Upon arrival was greeted immediately and asked if I would like something to drink-wine, soda, coffee, etc. They took my coat and scarf and hung it up. Bradeen was pleasant, jovial and made me feel at home. She assured me she could fix my cut. She did and then some. She was meticulous and a perfectionist. It was exactly what I had wanted.
