I had a very good experience with Cami. She gave me a very nice haircut considering my hair is now difficult to work with if you ask me. She didn't overcut like some places do. I had cut some before, but needed even more cut because of the condition of my hair. She immediately noticed the damage caused by the other salon. My hair grows really slowly too, it will be years before it's back to normal, but I had no choice to get rid of a lot. She did her best to cut layers to make the damage a bit less noticeable. She really listened to me about what I wanted. My roots are long now because it's been a long time, but I am not mentally ready to color yet. If I do, it will be with Cami. read more

Cami is great! I needed my hair color updated for an upcoming wedding. I found her on Yelp, sent a message and she responded almost immediately. I was able to get an appointment within a few days. She was so friendly and welcoming. She listened to what I wanted and came up with a beautiful color. It wasn't a too-bright pink and it wasn't too pastel either. The color was perfect! My hair doesn't look washed out anymore. She didn't try to convince me to add services I didn't need either. And also recommended a shampoo that you can buy on Amazon that deposits color to keep my hair color fresh while I travel this winter. I will definitely be coming back to Cami when I return from my trip in February. Oh, her prices aren't super overpriced either. I would not recommend Cami OR Twyst Salon. Despite the impression Cami might give you with photos of her work, I do not believe that Cami knows what she is doing when it comes to bleaching--specifically bleach root touch up. I can't type out my entire story at the moment, because even as I type this my heart is pounding from how upsetting my experience was. My first appointment was back on 6/24 (went full blonde), second on 8/15 (first root touch up--that did not match) and lastly 10/24 (the day she ruined my hair completely). Cami made the decision to do a double bleach process after she realized that my roots on the top of my scalp had not lifted as much as the hair around my face (also, because she did not check before rinsing). Although I did not feel any unusual sensations on my scalp at the time of the appointment, my scalp became itchy. And when I would touch my scalp I felt these little crusty bits (which I realized later was my skin on my scalp oozing from the chemical burns and trying to heal itself). Two days after my appointment I washed my hair and noticed that a larger amount of hair was coming out then usual (despite that I was gently combing conditioner through my hair with my fingers). My sores started to sting after my shower and started hurting so bad! And after realizing that my hair was breaking off I immediately contacted Cami--who redirected and wanted to blame my *stress* for my hair falling out. After that nonsense, I had an actual blonde expertise confirm that the burns were there and I immediately went to urgent care for fear of several open wounds on my scalp getting infected. AFC Urgent Care was thankfully able to get me in same day and triple confirmed the chemical burns. I was given 3 prescriptions for the chemical burns on my scalp. The owner of the salon, Erin/Aaron, is just as much equally to blame because of her not giving a crap attitude. I called and left a message with Noel for the owner to call me because of the injuries I received at their place of business. SHE DIDN'T EVEN RETURN MY CALL. I showed up in the salon the next morning where the most selfish hair stylist, Mischa, decided that she would tell me that I needed to leave the salon because I'm taking her away from her client when all I was asking her to do was to call the owner. I have a recording of how rude you were! You did not need to tell me about your being a single mom and all that drama. When Erin finally showed up after I had been at the salon for an hour waiting... she not only wanted to argue with me that she *texted* me the day before (which those texts never surfaced), but when I sat in her chair to let her asses the damage she didn't even LOOK. She actually had the nerve to ask me to point the burns out for her because she couldn't see them. You didn't WANT to see them. Well guess what... NEITHER DID I! It was even better when Erin continued to tell me that for the service I received, my hair and scalp looked "normal." Hahahahaha as if! I can't believe you actually think that you can treat people this way--especially after hurting them! I have attached photos of my damage, and yes, it DOES get worse every day and I might end up having to cut my hair. I've cried so much from the heartlessness I received in the care of Cami and Twyst Salon. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. read more
