I went to one in Portland, and although it was a cute salon and "supposedly" a great stylist, they were just ok. I think sometimes the look of salon can be deceiving. Every time I go to someone, they end up making my hair look more orangish and they would tell me that I would need to come back several times to get the color I want. So I looked her up and her profile and thought, ok let's give her a shot. I am SO SO HAPPY I did. She is AMAZING! I have already told all my girlfriends and my nurse friends to go see her cause she is talented! She has the eye for what looks beautiful and I got exactly the style I asked for, probably even better. I highly highly recommended Kiara plus she is very sweet and just seems so down to earth. Beyond excited that I found a stylist. You won't be disappointed, if anything you just want to give her a hug cause she'll make you feel and look so pretty! Choice of style: balayage

I've had color done by her before and I hope to do so again in the future. It's always wonderful to see her smile and enjoy the work she does. Edit: I will never arrive here again. I was admitted to the hospital on the day of my appointment and was charged 70% of the appointment because I was considered no call no show. I have been charged $175.00 While I NOW, understand your "policy" is that after 30 minutes you can charge whatever fee you deem fair for missing an appointment, your also at fault. After looking at my phone records I see that my sister called for me the day I was admitted. Whether or not your staff informed you is on you. Not me. Even if I showed that to you, which I can, I now know you wouldn't reverse the charge which you made very clear on the phone after I had informed of my emergency hospitalization. You are at fault for the following: 1. Not having your staff inform you of changes when you are in fact called 2. Not calling your clients within that 30 minutes to check if that are coming or there is an emergency. Which you stated, Liz, that you do not have to do. 3. Punishing, not simply following policy, but punishing a 4+ year client for being hospitalized. Of which I have documents. I also offered to show it to you, Liz, when we spoke on the phone. In the which you replied you have zero interest in seeing. 4. No matter how many times you tell me, "We gave you plenty of notice with multiple texts and emails" This apparantly does not account for ANY medical emergency or Acts of God. In other words, if a client had been struck by a car and was hospitalized or even died your stance verbatim on the phone was "It's policy that I charge you 70% and in some cases 100% of the appointment that's been missed." While I can understand a charge/fee for no call no show, which turns out this situation is not, what you have implemented is punishment for the client, while falsely claiming it's protection for your staff since "they are not hourly". But this partly false?Why? Because you're establishment clearly states you accept walk-ins. While your staff is paid hourly the opportunity for income is only denied by your "policy" in order to accept fees at the expense of not only your clients, but also your staff, who likely lost the client due to this policy. I'm truly saddened, frustrated, and embarrassed at your lack of business ethics, empathy, and greed. As a business owner myself, I do not and will not recommend you Liz or your establishment to anyone. Your shame knows no bounds.
