I've been going to Poshe for over 20 years now. I've always enjoyed the social aspect, the atmosphere, the proximity to the liquor store and of course the pampering. Julie has been a staple there for as long as I can remember and has talked me out of multiple "I think I need a perm" moments. Heather does my daughter's hair and has for probably 3 or 4 years now. The chairs are comfy, they offer you beverages, they know every client by name and they are what the community is about. I started coming here long ago because the prices were good, but I've stayed because the company is great. I hadn't written a review before now because I love this place and didn't want it to get so busy that I couldn't get appointments anymore. I know, I'm selfish. She knows what she's doing, is very educated with hair, and does the right cuts for me (especially dealing with Asian fine hair). I used to get my hair side swept and she does it PERFECT I've now outgrown that look but she's always my go to when calling in for an appointment. Tonya no longer works here for those of you who have been going to her on the reg. No one seems to know where she went. However, Manh is good at doing eyebrows. Bang trims are hit or miss depending on who is trimming my bangs. I know bangs are tricky. Julie is the most consistent. Julie gives me a great haircut every time. It's easy to get appointments here and usually finding parking is not a problem. Generally good customer service from the receptionists and whoever answers the phone. I like that you can make appointments online and receive a prompt confirmation. read more

I went in to get a perm. I came in a day ahead to let the stylist have a look at my hair and I came in with my hair curled to show that I wanted curles, not wavy hair, I already have that. She used only 1 perm solution charged me for 2, overcharged me $145, when I cam back to get it fixed didn't comp the bad perm telling me I needed to pay for the perm solution $30 when a box is $7.50. I haven't gotten a perm in 30 years for this very reason. Didn't get the results i wanted the second time even though I brought pictures of perms. I paid cash both times, they seriouly overcharge. Not going back. I gave them two chances and they blew both. read more

I absolutely love this place! I ruined my hair by bleaching it at home and it was super patchy and orange. I looked at a lot of places to get a color correction and they were all very expensive (around $300). Julie only charged $160 and she made my hair soooo much better. I wasn't sure anyone could fix this, but she did incredible! I also work late, but she squeezed me in at the end of a work day and stayed a couple hours late to make sure my hair was perfect. She really took her time and made my visit very relaxing and well worth the money! I also had a choppy hair cut at the time and she fixed up the ends a bit for me for free. If I could put negative stars I would! I went in to get acrylic nails & a pedicure. My fingernails came out lumpy, uneven, different lengths & crooked. I also had large amounts of acrylic build up underneath my nails that I told her about & she ignores. On top of all that theres still a little bit of my old nail polish left on my pinky. Absolutely ridiculous! Then when I went to get my toes done *when I made the appointment I did say I wanted both a manicure & pedicure* the girl who was supposed to be doing my nails was too busy doing another coworker's nails & talking. I sat there waiting for 20min, 2 employees told her multiple times that I was her appointment & was waiting on her but she did not care. * I havent even has them done for a full week yet & the tip of one just came off, and others are chipping on the sides, plus this awful paint job already looks 3 weeks old. I dont think they really know what their doing, definitely not worth the money I wasted there! read more

I went in today for highlights and what regret. The place doesn't follow any COVID regulations. People wait around in the facility for their turn. Pretty small space. Most employees wear masks below the nose. They reuse everything between clients without cleaning. Just didn't seem clean for an establishment (even for non-COVId standards). My stylist removed her mask every time she wanted to talk to me and mask was below her nose at most times. She might as well not have worn it. Also, didn't do the color I had asked for. Much lighter but insisted it is the same color. Roots were much lighter. Which happens when you do at home color. A professional should know that roots absorb the color more and do the right thing to offset it. Then she put toner on it and sent me home. And to top it off, it was the most expensive for highlights I have ever paid. I have had a haircut before and it seemed reasonable. And based on the reviews I thought it would be reasonable but was surprised when they rung me up. I paid the most I have for highlights for sure. Could have gone to a decent bougie salon. read more

I heard about Julie through a friend and decided to check her out since my previous stylist moved. I'm SOLD!! Julie has so much experience and knowledge. Got my hair cut by Stacy, and she was very friendly. Overall I had a nice, relaxing time. I made my reservation 1 day in advance and they were able to get me in the time I wanted. The place is small but neat and cozy. The reason I took off a star is because there was a spring special for a discount off of a manicure for new clients but I waited 20 minutes and got nothing! The lady was not at work and did not show up, so I left. The owner was calling the lady to come in to work and she was very sorry that I had waited so long. read more

Today i was seen for a haircut. I last came here in september 2023 and had a great experience and loved my hair cut. I had gotten a Long A-Line cut. Today 6 months later i came back as i wanted my hair to grow out more to make it a little more longer. When i requested my appt i clearly put i was seen before and would like the same Long A-Line cut. I did not recieve that today :( the lady next to the nail tables (she also does the nails there) was the one that cut my hair and gave me like a bob cut my hair is so short it barely has length in the front. As she was cutting i said i want a long a-line and she oh i thought you meant long in the back only. She already cut one side infront and it was to late i wanted to cry. I go no i put it in my email and i told you and even showed you how i wanted it. All she could say is "im sorry and that she should of asked me." She said that many times and then whispers im sorry ill charge you only $30 instead of $35. I hate my haircut and now will have to wait for it to grow out so dissapointed. read more

Let me give you a list rundown: 1) "Walk-ins welcome"...and ignored. 2) Appointments made and don't mean a thing. I guarantee you're going to wait. 3) ONE person getting a haircut means they are NEVER able to help you. Gee, so sorry. So busy. Snark. 4) Asking for a haircut WITHOUT a razor gets a *SAD FACE*. WERE THEY TRAINED TO USE SCISSORS? Despite my request, my hair was cut with a razor. 5) Rude, ditzy receptionists. Instead of helping you, they're putting bows in their hair at the mirror. 6) They put mousse in your hair, although you don't want it, and then that's an extra $5 for "styling" your hair. 7) One of the ladies admitted to never doing mens haircuts while cutting my boyfriend's hair, but the service is listed on their website...? $ 20 is a good price for a haircut, but you get what you pay for. When I went there to discuss about the problem , they were very rude to me. They told me that your hair has already chemical, So straightening treatment can straight only 70%, but in my case the result was not even 1% Didnt even bother to understand my problem.Very unprofessional and disrespectful. read more

My sister and I have been seeing Myelin for about two years now. We absolutely love her. I get my Keratin treatment done with her and my sister gets a relaxer treatment. I have also gotten trims and highlights from her. We live at the Coast and our drive is about an hour and a half and we will continue to come and see her because she is amazing at what she does. Over the Summer this was my spot as a result of an online search. It was really close to home and the haircut was cheap. These were prices I paid back in '92. I'm pretty meticulous about my hair and am always concerned with the ability of the hairstylist in boonie places with few Asians. Tony was my guy, pretty cool cat and did an okay job. The haircuts I got from him were more the kind that had to grow in a little bit to look good and didn't last quite so long. Instead of my typical 6week cycle I had to come back after 4 weeks, which meant my hair looked okay for 3 weeks, first week being the grow back period.
