This salon has nice ambience and Patricia has been doing my skin for several years and it looks wonderful. However, recently she gave me a peel and it was very painful and uncomfortable. When I contacted her she said my skin was very sensitive and to put oil and cortisone on. She knew my skin was sensitive and had often told me so. I'm not sure why she did such a strong peel.i would not recommend getting a strong peel from her. Otherwise she did great facials. read more

Growing up I always thought that one day I'd be an adult and my skin would be perfectly clear once those pesky hormone filled years passed. This was not my truth. I am one of those women who are blessed with oil, lots and lots of oil. So, after years of acne and embarrassment I met Patricia and EVERYTHING is different! I know if I followed everything she suggests to a T my skin would be completely flawless, but I'm unfortunately human and don't drink enough water and sometimes don't want to wash my face at night. Red lotus took me in last minute for a lash lift and tint! Met Emily who was amazinggggg. She was gentle, very sweet, and made me feel super comfortable during the session, i didn't want it to end. I wasn't super satisfied with the results, the lift was very mild. I was just going to come in next time and ask for a more dramatic lift, however they texted me the following week asking about the lift and offered a complimentary re-do. I was able to get in that week and am happy with my results. I was very shocked (in a good way!) that they did this, or even followed up with me afterwards. For 4 years I dealt with bad acne. My dermatologists recommend lots of "solutions" that never seems to clear my face. When I came to Trish everything changed! Previously I felt the need to wear coverup to hide all my acne as well as my blotchy red face. She told me that being red wasn't normal and gave me different products that didn't irritate my skin. I usually hate writing bad reviews but I'm pretty disappointed with the outcome of my experience. This was my first time visiting this spa. My appointment was for a full set of classic lash extensions and although the gal that did my extensions was very sweet and gentle I have already lost about 15-20 lashes and it's been a little over 24 hours. I've had lash extensions multiple times before and this has never happened to me. I followed all the instructions and still I'm losing lashes and I know it's not my fault because there is no lash connected to the extensions that are falling off, only the extension itself. I don't know if it's the glue they use or what, but for $125 I expect these to stay on a lot longer. It's especially frustrating since I got these done for a wedding that's in 6 days and I'm worried I will have barely any lashes left by the time of the wedding :( UDATE: The spa contacted me and offered me a complimentary fill which is very kind of them. I went to Red Lotus to get lash extensions for an anniversary trip to Hawaii. I've had them done at other places in the past and was not happy. In fact, the last time a few years ago I ended up pulling them off because they were so uncomfortable. I decided to try again and booked with Red Lotus after reading the reviews. What a wonderful experience!!! Maraide did an amazing job. My eyes looked awesome and I could not feel the lashes at all. I would really loved to have kept them but I'm an eye rubber and that's just not good for extensions. I recently relocated to Portland from MN and was looking for a place to get my lash extensions filled in. I called and made an appointment with Candy. She was professional while applying the lashes but did a horrible job. I've never had my lashes "hurt" after a fill but these did and I knew something was wrong. I went to another salon to have them removed and the lashes were all stuck together and caused quite a bit of damage. She didn't take the time to apply the lashes correctly. I've never had a facial before but my lady friends always say I should get one so I figured why not. The location is conveniently located right off highway 26. The ambiance inside Patricia's office is clean, warm, and welcoming. She even has the same Asian influenced looking lamps as I do, which was a surprise. After getting me comfortable in the chair or table (not sure what it's called) she explained every step and what each step does for my skin. I do basic stuff at home like wash my face twice a day and moisturize after. After getting a facial my face has never felt cleaner! She also gave me some samples to take home with me. I have been very happy with the work of Candi and Patricia who I have both seen multiple times. About four months ago I started seeing Patricia for skin services in anticipation of my wedding this coming August. I was looking for a new lash extension professional to continue filling my lashes every 3-4 weeks. After finding Red Lotus online, I booked an appointment with Candi. She was professional and clean. I was happy with the look of my first fill with her. When I checked out she said my next fill would be $55 if I paid with card and $50 with cash. I was happy to book another appointment for the CLASSIC HOUR LASH FILL. My next fill 2 weeks later, in the middle of my fill I was informed prices went up & not before my appointment. she asked for $80!!!! I said I brought $50 cash because that's what I was told to bring.She said prices went up and I swiped my card. After leaving I called her to say the prices were the same online and that I felt uninformed\ ripped off. Then she said she put VOLUME LASHES ON ME ON ACCIDENT AND CHARGED ME FOR THEM. she made the mistake, did not refund me, and overcharged me. The photo you sent to my credit card company was fraudulent. This confirms that you are as dishonest as you seemed, and my credit card company is crediting me my money back because of this. My girlfriend sees Patricia for her facial care. I have always complimented my girlfriend on her the youthful look of her skin. She is a 50-something and does not look a day over 40. She has absolutely amazing skin. I asked her for a referral to her esthetician and saw Patricia today. I got a full facial treatment and my face looks and feels brand new. Patricia is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and listens to your needs. She does a bunch of other stuff as well but I was there for my face. Her experience and knowledge come with a price but so does any professional at the top of their game. I asked for products to take with me for facial care and she stocks top shelf products. She recommended I stop using my current facial care products and explained why. She did not try to sell me anything - I asked her to help me change my product line. Interactions with her overshadowed the relaxing treatment I had with her staff and overall caused it to be a terrible experience. I have seen Patricia in the past for facials and skin care. She always makes you feel very comfortable and really takes the time to teach you about her process. My mom also has been going to see her as well with great results. Recently I noticed my mom's gorgeous eyes were just popping more than usual. She started seeing Candi for lash extensions. Wow did they look amazing. I went with her to her last appointment to learn more about the process. As my wedding was getting closer I decided to try them out for the first time. From the very beginning Candi was extremely knowledgeable. I sat in the waiting room reading through the paperwork and care instructions before entering the relaxation room. I am always a bit nervous about someone around my eyes. I use all natural makeups and often do not wear any so for me to have this product put on was a bit intimidating. All those feelings quickly were gone once I laid down. Candi took me through the entire process before starting and shared some do's and dont's. I cannot tell you enough how professional she was (and funny too!) She took some before pics and then started the extension process. It was not scary at all. You really get a sense of the attention to detail and skill it takes to apply each individual extension. The time it took to complete was about 45-1hr. Perfect time for a power nap! Once she was finished she handed me the mirror and I was amazed. SHOWGIRL EYES!!! They looked so beautiful. I couldn't wait to get my picture taken (which I normally hate to get!) Candi further explained the care in very detailed manner and how important it was to care for them properly. The other thing I really liked is she gave me the what to do's if I have a reaction. That to me is really important as I am extremely sensitive to product. Hands down Candi is a true talent and professional. I will be back for more!
