Wasted time, gas and money to go there first thing in the a.m. only to be interrogated as to why I'm there and who is my regular tech (currently out of the country on holiday), etc. Appt was scheduled online (2 days before) as their answering message said to do. Owner said she would have not accepted the appt if she had known I only wanted a lash fill. I was willing to pay for the complete set to get my lashes done. Horrible interaction. Owner vibed "I don't want you here" and then told me as much in asking me to leave. I became angry and felt my business was not important to her. This is one of the premier lash establishments in the city. They train and set incredibly high standards for their work as well as the health of your lashes. When given approval to partially open during this pandemic they instituted all of the CDC recommendations and educated their clientele. I feel incredibly safe patronizing this business. All staff wash hands, safely social distance when they can, and all staff and clientele wear masks at all times. But what really gives this place heart is the staff. Jenna leads a staff of some of the best in the business. They have a policy of inclusion, diversity, and equity. Prices are fair market. I recommend this place 100 out of 100 times! read more

Disappointed with my lashes every time I would leave my appointment with Jenna. The service is rushed and I would never feel like any lashes were being applied. When I would complain about there not being much volume to my lash sets Kenna would say it's because I have no lashes to work with.... I finally went to a new place to see if they could give me the lashes I wanted and to actually spend the time doing them, and it was there I was told my lashes are a mess. They are all glued together in clumps! They are not attaching lashes to each individual lash but there are lashes glued together with an extension glued on the group of my own lashes. THAT IS THE INCORRECT WAY!! My lashes were RUINED! Luckily the new girl doing my lashes (Michelle @ Mode du Jour in Newberg) is in the process of reversing the damage Jenna has done but it will take a handful of sessions. Please see attached pics. If I could give less then one star I would. The employees don't wear masks or gloves, nor are customers required to wear masks. Look, it's state mandated to wear a mask in any indoor establishement. I'm sorry, with this type or procedure the employee is right in your face! How unprofessional does one have to be to put the customers in such danger to their health. I went in requesting a 2 week lash filling at the cost of $50. My eyelashes have been kept up for months so they only required a minimal maintenance. After my lashes were completed I was charged $86 which is not a price existing on the price list. There was no reasoning with the employee. I will not be returning to this company again and will be warning my friends to do the same. read more

I went to Jenna off of many recommendations of friends so I was pretty trusting and excited to have her work on me. I was struggling with some eyelash extensions not being the way I had wanted them to be and not staying for as long as I had hoped either so I reached out to Jenna in hopes that her recommendations and the pictures that I had seen were exactly what I wanted/needed. I called her up and told her after every two weeks with my last lash tech I would have nearly no eyelashes left, but I would still get them filled every time I would go in so she told me to book for a volume fill to make sure we would have time. When I came in for my initial appointment, my eyelashes were awful -- there were damn near none left, so she took one look at them and said there was no way she could fill them and would have to start over with a full set and there was no way she could do it today. A little heart broken, she could see I was visibly upset, but she booked me out for a few weeks. I left upset, for my wallet and because I was so used to having lashes on and now I had to wait even longer without them. But not a problem, I was still excited to finally get a new set and hopefully what I have been really wanting! A couple weeks later, here comes my appointment date, and a few hours before my appointment time Jenna texted me and asked me if there was any way I could reschedule to a few days later because she wasn't feeling good. I work in a place where I have to reschedule people all the time and especially around sick season, I totally empathize for this, so I said yes and she said thank you so much see you then! A few days later on my rescheduled appointment day, a few hours before my appointment time.. once again she texted me and said she was still not feeling good and would have to reschedule me to a different day. Now at this point I was pretty bummed for a few different reasons: I knew she was extremely busy from just the first time having to schedule with her and there are only a few days I can book appointments in my busy schedule so I KNEW there was going to be a problem. I was also bummed to have to be rescheduled for the second time after having to wait for so long, but again, being in the work that I am I am totally understanding, so I said I was sorry to hear that she was sick, but I was bummed to be rescheduled, when was the earliest I could be rescheduled? At this point was when I felt disrespected and felt it was unprofessional, because her response was, "can't control the flu/cold season. I can't work when I feel like this" and then she said she couldn't get me in for another 3 weeks, but there was someone else that worked for her that could see me sooner. At this point I felt like she didn't even want me as a client, so there was no way I was going to give her my business in any way, so I said I would find someone else and I hoped she felt better. I truly, truly wanted to try out her expertise, because her work looked beautiful. read more

I originally got my lashes done with someone else, however she was a hairstylist as a profession and did extensions on the side and it was difficult to book with her, so I decided to find a different place to go, coming across lash out with decent reviews and close to my work. Ive been going there seeing Mikaela for about 8 months now and here are some of the basic issues/experiences I have had: 1.) Rescheduling- the past few appt's i had had to be rescheduled, once again with no explanation and often at the last minute. I book my lashes with my pay dates so I know I can afford it and can budget and save after, so this is semi inconvenient to me, and although I do understand that things come up, I didn't get any explanation any times and it gets aggravating Because it seems like they just wanted their friday off and didnt want to just block it off on their schedule. 2.) the lashes would not last long, after less than two weeks I would desperately be in need of a fill, and honestly the results look wise would be very give and take. Sometimes they looked beautiful and full with the classic fill and other time they would look like they needed a second fill all together. 3.) Jenna and Mikaela both book their appointments 30-45 minutes apart, meaning they often rushed through the application, probably the reason why sometimes they would look good and sometimes they would not. 4.) I got horrible eyelid swelling while going there. Some times it would be a small line of swelling along my lash-line and other times my entire lid would swell up to the point I couldn't see. It tended to get better after a day or two, and I always assumed that it was because of an eyelash glue allergy, and me being stupid continued to go. After this last time where my entire eye was swollen for three days, I got them removed at a different salon (Lash lounge in lake oswego) they informed me that the swelling was taking place because the extensions were being glued to my eyelid as well as my lash, which caused heavy irritation and swelling, and could cause damage to your eyes. 5.) this is the most important and aggravating point to me: just like with acrylic nails you're supposed to give your natural lashes a break every few months. Every two or three sessions I would make sure to check that I didn't need to take a break, and Mikaela assured me that I didn't and my lashes looked healthy and she would tell me if I needed one. Cue me when my lashes removed with two bald spots on my eyes, and my already short and sparse lashes ( hence why I got the extensions in the first place) were somehow shorter and more damaged than before. I can only assume from this that they were more focused on getting my money than ensuring that my lashes (and thus eyes) were healthy, which is upsetting. All in all, theres a reason why most good lash places charge up to $70 for a fill. They take more time, the results last longer, and the overall result is consistently attractive looking lashes. If youre paying fifty dollars for a fill, youre going to get the fifty dollar fill and youre going to both be disappointed and hurting your eyes. Please be cautious when getting eyelash extensions, even if their just aesthetic, their still your eyes. read more

I was thrilled when my lashes still looked full at 2 weeks, like I had just got them done! So important to trust the person doing your lashes because you risk ruining your natural lashes. I went in to have my brows waxed and tinted. At first it seemed like a good service. Nice brow shaping and my brows looked good when I left. However, the tint faded very quickly and I was needing to pencil in color within a week. I texted Jenna about it and her response was that is should be fine and that she hasn't had any other complaints. She asked what I use to wash my face and I replied that it is the same olive oil soap I've always used and I have never had this problem before. No response to that and it has been since Tuesday - now Saturday. I had hoped to find a place closer to my office in Tigard, but I will definitely be going to my former salon in Sherwood. It is well worth the drive. Others may be okay with weekly tinting, but I am not. read more

The girl I have been going to get my lashes done at Lash Out Esthetics recently quit so I was given a different girl to fill my lashes. It turned out this girl who was suppose to take over my lashes was going to be gone the week I needed them filled so she handed me over to Jenna. I scheduled an appointment for Jenna and I was super excited to go in as I had seen so many glowing reviews of her work on yelp. The day of my appointment 4 hours before I was suppose to go and get them filled she texted me and told me she would need to reschedule me for a different day, with no explanation as to why she was cancelling on me the day of my appointment. I said that was fine and asked her what days the following week would work. She did not respond for 3 day with only two different times "Tuesday, June 2nd and Thursday, June 14th." It's June 11th, so I assumed she meant July 2nd and July 11th. Looking at my calendar I realized those dates and days of the week do not match up. I have no idea where she got those dates from, but it was very frustrating to have waited 3 days for a text that didn't make any sense. Even if she had meant July that would have been over 4 weeks without getting them filled and I would have to get an entirely new set. The whole thing seems very flighty to me. I am very disappointed and I will not be going back to this business. Shame! read more

I first started coming to Jenna for lash extensions in 10/2016 before a Hawaii trip. I loved the way she did my lashes. Now I see Kim there because she is available on weekends when I can't get time off work. But how amazing it is that there is availability 7 days a week! They always work with you on what you want your lashes to look like. They are not rude like some other salons and we have had some good conversations. I don't think I'll ever get my lashes done anywhere else!!!! read more
