Quick PSA: she books on Schedulicity which makes it incredibly convenient since I know my schedule more than she does... she gets booked up easily. My brows use to be thin and lifeless, now they are full and have framed my face and eyes in ways that I never thought possible. I was always envious of those gals with the model brows... these days, I get compliments on mine! Some folks will just thin you out to a brow shape based on whatever hair you have left even if that brow shape is pencil thin and looks terrible! Jen is a pro--she recognizes what the best shape is for your face, shapes what you have, and knows that a good eyebrow pencil should do the rest. Ok, I'm admitting it right now... I'm a wax virgin. 31 years on this planet and not once has hot [or cold for that matter] wax graced my face. Whew, OK, that felt good to say out loud. I figured it was probably time to pop my wax cherry since brows are so en vogue right now. (Is saying "en vogue" still cool? I dunno...) Jen was awesome and friendly and put my mind at ease as soon as I sat down in her chair. It was nice to be reassured that I had done a good job of upkeep on my own and that this would mostly be just a clean up. After waxing, she let me hold a mirror to watch how she defined my brows a little more with powder, which was very helpful. I have fought for years to keep my big fluffy eyebrows tame enough to be fashionable and after bouncing back and forth between threading and waxing I am officially sold on waxing with Jen. Appointments are 20 minutes and she takes her time to actually listen to what you like and don't like, and there's no rush like some other places that push you in and spit you out. Typically with waxing or threading my skin gets extremely red and irritated but somehow she waxed, trimmed, and plucked and I came out with no redness at all.
