Fill ME up. I need lashes!! At this point all I can afford is mascara. Not lashes. But one day I'm going to have lashes again. Why? Because they made me feel pretty. Beautiful sometimes. And right now I need all the pick me ups I can get. Lashes are super tacky sometimes and look like massive caterpillars sitting on someone's eyes. But not lashes by V. V always made me look so natural that people were like WHAT?!? Those are extensions?! And I took care of my lashes so I didn't have issues with my natural lashes when I did have to remove them. What can I say... Sara gives me life!! This was my third visit with Sara and I'm officially hooked. The space is quite comfy with music playing in the background while you're relaxing. I was referred to Aureus Lounge by a friend after seeing her lashes. I knew I had to get them done also. I have to say it was the best decision ever! My daily routine is cut in half since I really don't need much makeup anymore. I was given a more natural look and at times I'm asked if they're real. If you are looking for amazing lash artists, you have to go to DEVA!! I have been seeing Vince for almost 4 years now...let me tell you he works magic! My lashes last so long and they always look amazing! I have never had to take a break from lash extensions because he knows the correct way to apply them. Before going to Vince, I made a mistake and went to a lash place that almost made me end up in the hospital because my eyes swelled up so much I almost couldn't see. Sara is literally everything, she makes me feel the best! I get my eyelashes done from her & have never gotten so many compliments on them. Literally it's an everyday thing. I went to a different lash lady for years then when I moved to Portland I was referred to Sara. My eyelashes used to fall out after two weeks & they would itch like crazy. I don't even notice I have eyelashes on with Sara, they've never fallen out & they never itch. And to think I thought my lady was good before. I also get my Brazilian & armpits waxed by her. I used to get Brazilians that would take 45min. Literally so painful because they used strip wax. I was hesitant to try Sara but once I did I will never have anyone else wax me. There was almost no pain! Seriously! I have a really low pain tolerance & it felt fine. Took 16min for a full Brazilian, EVERYTHING. If you go to her you will not be disappointed. Along with being the best at her services she is incredible professional & so hilarious. She is very accommodating & values her customers. Okay everyone listen, because this is important: Sara will make your brows look better than those little things ever dared to dream they could look. Seriously, I love my brows like (good) people love their children and until I went to Aureus I was a helicopter parent with a phobia of overly-zealous waxers. However, Sara gets absolute free reign over all hair on my face because she is a beauty wizard. Not only does she have an impeccable eye for detail, but she has the ability to envision a perfect brow shape for your face, beyond what you may or may not already have. Additionally, she is well and truly the most professional, accommodating, and lovely person you will ever meet. I have been to all the "brow" bars Portland has to offer, and the quality of service I receive every single time I see Sara is enough to make me never feel the need to try a new one again. Also, she is hilarious. To the point where I'm looking for new places to wax, and cursing my hairless back for its unwillingness to help, just so I can chat with her. Sarah is nice but her work is very mediocre. I went to another women but she moved farther away so I Googled Sarah and because of the reviews I decided to go to her. I think I came in with better eyebrows than how I left. She knew how to fill them in but I think they need to look good not filled in also. My right eyebrow turned out way more skinny than my left one; now when I fill them in I have to work extra hard to get them looking similar. While I know it is difficult for eyebrows to look 100% alike, I don't think Sarah did a good job of even making them similar. Also, on her website it says that new customers get $5 off their first service; she didn't offer me any type of discount. Overall, I was very disappointed. I guess the drive to see the women I originally saw is worth having good eyebrows. read more

I highly recommend going to Sara for your waxing needs. I'm extremely picky about my eyebrows and it's hard to find someone I trust to wax them. I had been going somewhere else and they had become a little uneven. I felt like I was filling them in a bit too much to make them the same. On my first appointment with Sara she took the time to find out what I wanted them to look like and suggest I let a certain area grow out. They look great now. Sara is amazing, I never really knew what to do with my brows because I'm so blond and my brows are very sparse. When I first went to see her I was very apprehensive, but she immediately put me at ease with her calm demeanor, I could tell she was extremely knowledgeable and that waxing is something she loves to do!
