I'm from out of town and needed a nearby pharmacy to pick up a prescription my PCP wrote at the last minute this morning. I saw a low a Yelp score here and was concerned reading the comments, but this was the closest pharmacy so went anyway. I had a good experience so wanted to balance out the 1-star reviews. Grace was the pharmacy tech who assisted me. She was quick, friendly, and informative. The store itself was very clean and spacious. No complaints from me! read more

Yesterday I was in Bethany Walgreens. Among other things I bought three Hershey bars, marked as 3/$3.79 on the candy aisle. They rang up as $4.50. I asked the cashier to adjust the error he said, "I can't, it's not my fault, I just stand here" I didn't pursue the issue since there were two people in line after me and I didn't want to inconvenience them. Had my prescription sent to my usual pharmacy, they were out of stock and I was out of my meds, and wouldn't get the meds in stock for 3 days, so I tried to have it transferred to this location, figured it's the same company, shouldn't take more then a few hours to send a request and have the prescription sent over, especially since they said they had it in stock, very wrong, apparently Walgreens doesn't work like that, informed me it would take 5 DAYS TO DO AN INTERNAL TRANSFER FROM A WALGREENS 2 MILES AWAY FROM THEM. If there was a lower rating, I would use it. This pharmacy is broken. If you renew your prescription online, sometimes it goes through, sometimes it does not. When it does, they don't fill it until you are standing in front of them after waiting in a long line. Then you get to wait some more while they prepare your prescription. They're so busy playing catchup all day that they are making mistakes. They filled 1/2 my prescription and billed it to insurance as filled in full, so they have to fix that and get me the other 1/2. Unfortunately every time I have gone to this pharmacy it has been an absolute headache. There's been multiple times I have a prescription ready for pick up for it to say I need to call the pharmacist because they need to verify my prescription and for my doctor to call. There's been times when my medication says it's ready for pick up then says they don't have it anymore. This last visit I went to pick up new medication for an upcoming surgery, I showed up and was told to stick around and it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I waited for nearly two hours. I kept checking the app for it to say it's ready. I then hopped back in line after waiting for so long to be told that it's not ready and to get to the back of the line. Once I got back to the window I finally got my medication after having an hour and a half of waiting. The lady who helped me my second time around was very nice and accommodating but the first lady needs to learn time management better and to not give false promises. The medication I take I need daily and having a disruption to my medication schedule wreaks havoc on my health. If you are in the same boat I am please find another location to go to. read more

Walgreens why is it that you send texts out when a prescription no longer has refills and ask to have it renewed and then not actually do it? I am now with out a necessary prescription. When I spoke to the pharmacy about this they told me that I needed to reach out to my doctor and that this pharmacy is very busy and they don't have time to do it. The woman's response was snarky and said "did you know we don't have a manager?" How would I know this??? Then told me that my medicine is not an urgent need - I need this medicine to avoid a hypertensive crisis and low potassium! I guess potentially dying is not on the top of the list of an urgent medication. read more

This pharmacy is always super backed up, that's a known around here. I had transferred to another pharmacy but their system went down so I was forced to go back to Walgreens once more. Twice my husband went to get the medication and it wasn't ready, despite the pharmacist telling us to come back 45 min later. When I went Sunday morning I waited in line before they opened (1 person ahead of me and 2 behind) for 10 min, they were supposed to open at 10. at 10:03 an employee came by and told us the manager was running late so the pharmacy wouldn't open for another 20 min. Long story short, I had to go to this pharmacy 4 times to actually receive my medication 2 days after it was prescribed. I don't know why no one is doing anything about the lack of service at this location, but something needs to be done.. a re-training, hire more people, longer hours, whatever, just please get it right. read more

The Pharmacy is terrible, likely to have cost me almost $400 by not filling a prescription before the New Year. My last 3 prescriptions I've had filled there have been late and in all 3 cases I've had to call at least twice to get them filled. Tried calling and the automated message said at least 44 minutes wait time, when I selected the option for callback it failed. Much like their customer service. I'll be transferring all my prescriptions to Express Scripts. read more

Did not tell me that I would need to personally renew my meds every 20 days and acted like I was an idiot for not knowing that despite this being the first time i've ever needed to do that with a medication. I told them I would be switching pharmacies because I don't want to have to manually call and renew it with them. the guy acted like I would be dealing with the same issue anywhere else, when I haven't and legit the first other pharmacy I called said they wouldn't need that either. so it's just a dumb walgreens policy that they EXPECT you to just know. Went to pick up my meds for the last time and got asked if i'm pregnant; I am transgender and picking up testosterone...never once have I been asked about being pregnant and the rep said it's supposed to be asked everytime. it seemed malicious to me. I asked multiple other trans folks if this is normal and happens to them and they all said no. Thus, I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially trans folks who need meds consistently and don't want to be asked invasive dysphoric (and possibly life threatening) questions with strangers right behind them. read more

Years ago we had prescriptions sent to this store when we first moved into Bethany. I cannot remember all the specifics anymore but it was a clusterf*** two months running ( didn't carry my mom's Alzheimer's meds, messed up a dose of my meds, forgot things, wouldn't bill insurance, etc. ) We use Rite Aid and it is mostly fine. It is also 24 hours. And we are a family of emergencies. I wrote off Walgreens. But my kid loves it for gifty things, makeup, snacks, cheap fuzzy socks, etc. and has a membership card that discounts items a tiny bit and goes in all the time since it is close to our house. The kid treats it like I did the Ben Franklin my mom took me into when I was growing up ( or Yellow Front, showing my age here). Drug stores are kind of drying up, have you noticed? I am glad my kid enjoys it. Come to think of it, so did my ornery ancient dad. He loved to poke around and find things too. It is not always cheap but it has stuff and my kid believes there are treasures to be had. So I would say it is fine for that. read more

This has to be the worst pharmacy in Oregon. I have used it for years but will be moving all my prescriptions to the Cornell Walgreens. I tried to fill a prescription two weeks ago after visiting the medical staff inside the Walgreens, they looked at me and said it will be tomorrow, I said that won't work, and then someone else said if it is dated today they always fill the next day....I took it went to the Cornell Walgreens, was greeted with a smile and pleasantry and my prescription was filled that day. Today I went to pick up a prescription my doctor had called in for an inhaler yesterday over 24 hours earlier. Still not ready. Not acceptable at all. To top it off they are all RUDE. Not sure anyone cares there, but after today I will not go back. read more

I need 4 prescriptions filled on a regular basis, now they want to why I need to take them and if they life and death. have seizures that when I have one I would need the ER if I do have one. This last time I had to fill them it too me 5 days to fill them. when I try to call them there's no answer and if I go to the store I have to stand in line for more than 1/2 hour which with my health is near impossible. When these refills for on these prescriptions are finished I'm changing pharmacies. When I said something to my doctor he even knew which pharmacy I was going to. I was told over the weekend it would be ready on tuesday. Then on tuesday when I tried to pick it up they said it was out of stock, and it would be ready Wednesday. I received a notification on Wednesday that it was still out of stock. It also said to contact them if I needed it immediately. I called and explained the situation and that I needed at least a few pills to tide me over until it was in stock, as it needs to be taken daily. Sammy told me he ordered it today and it would be available in a few days. When I asked why it hadn't been ordered the day before when it was out of stock, he said he didn't want to argue and it would be available soon. A male from my family showed up later that day to talk to the pharmacy and was able to get it refilled immediately? It didn't feel right that he told me it was out of stock 3 times over the week, then refilled it immediately once a male showed up. Also, I've never had a problem getting this medication on time before anywhere else. Seems to me like they are understaffed and didn't have the time to do it. read more

Maybe the worst pharmacy I've ever used. The line is brutally long, and they are so understaffed. It's obviously not the worker's fault, it's management and Walgreens the company that's to blame. This used to be a wonderful drug store. The line for the pharmacy is three aisles long with people being turned away because they now close at 7pm. They only have 1 person at the cash register, because the other tech was out with her family shopping. What has happened? Walgreens get it together!! This is not short staffing. This is poor leadership. Update: after waiting an hour I finally got to the window to be told that they were technically closed and if I wanted my antibiotics I need to find a 24 hour pharmacy. I hate this pharmacy so much! Waited in drive thru today with 2 cars in front of me, for about 15 minutes. Was finally my turn and no one came to the window for another 5ish minutes. Finally get help and my prescription isn't there. Not their fault on that, but frustrating. I come back 4 hours later, well beyond the time my doctor sent it in and waited another 25 minutes, all to be told that they're backed up and won't get to it until tomorrow - maybe. MAYBE?!!!! Ingrid is a new pharmacist here and she is incredibly rude. I have been coming here for years and have found the staff to handle the large volume well at this store. But this pharmacist needs to learn customer service. I'd recommend she start by not addressing customers with "What is your issue?" And it goes on from there. read more

My prescription finally got approved from my doctor 15 min before this locations closing time. I called the pharmacy to let them know the situation and they said the couldn't stay open even a minute past 10. Turns out some speedy driving got me there on the dot 1 min before their closing time, and they already closed the pharmacy early knowing I called and explained my situation. The entitled people typing reviews below me have to realize the world does not revolve around them and sometimes you have to wait a few minutes to get something you want. Walgreens staff at this location does their absolute best to take care of the customers. YES the WAIT TIMES CAN BE LONG. But its not the fault of the employees that they are short staffed. I doubt the nice people in the pharmacy want to be overwhelmed all day but they do the best they can. I appreciate this Walgreens staff especially the pharmacy. I would give zero stars if that was an option. Sat on hold "3 callers ahead of you "...for 23 mins... then hit in my car for a 4min drive ( now 27 mins) When I got there the phone was still beeping and the VERY rude person behind the counter could have cared a less. I told her she she could now take me ( the 3rd caller on line) off of hold. Then a prescription that was supposed to be ready at 11 was 15 mins late. The pharmacy is the worst-run org I have ever seen. Always a wait and always something wrong with multiple orders while you wait in line. Check your order over carefully!! Doesn't matter if you called in days ahead of time to fill your prescription--you will be asked to wait for them to fill it once you come to pick it up. I wish I was allowed to be as bad at my job as they are at theirs. I am now without my much-needed medication because they were unable to fill my prescription that I called in days ahead of time. read more

Worst customer service ever in the pharmacy. Waited in line for 40 minutes. So slow. Save yourself the pain and go somewhere else.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in the front store check out AND their pharmacy. Their pharmacy tech told me they didn't have all the pills I needed and proceeded to try to ring me up. No sincere apology. Didn't have a date for when she would have the rest of my pills. When I asked her if she could call a different Walgreens to see if a different pharmacy had the pills I needed, she told me I had to call them myself. This is a pill I needed to take 2x per day for a week and she only had 5 pills in total. This is after I waited over 25 minutes to get to the counter. The front store cashier asked me if I would like a bag for all the items I was purchasing and after I said yes, she placed a bag on the counter and waited for me to bag my own purchases. WOW is all I have to say. These encounters were on two different days. I usually wouldn't be so compelled to go on here and write a review but I hope management is reading this so they can make some changes. read more
