I come here several days and have seen a creepy RV parked repeatedly early mornings and now a school bus home. I do feel for people living in vehicles but this is a parking lot stating no overnight parking or camping and yet it seems to be allowed repeatedly? It makes it hard to want to shop in an area that businesses don't care for their parking lot area that their customers park in. I'm adding to post that in January because business that owns property won't address vehicles staying overnight there are now 5th wheel and others slowly taking over this parking lot. Why make signs and ordinances if won't be upheld? The people parking and camping or living in parking lot obviously refuse to read the signs and property owner of parking lot doesn't care about. read more

Have been going to this Hillsboro Bimart since I moved here in 1988. For years it was good with friendly people who you got to know. Last month I bought a bird feeder there with a sale sign below it that said sale 15.99 when I got home my receipt said I paid 19.99 so I took the receipt back to get the difference this bigger lady with red ?dyed hair got so irate that I would want the difference, I said very nicely it wasn't my fault your forgot to take down the sale sign she got in a huff wrote me a refund for 4. 00 I said I appreciated it but she didn't have to be so rude. I went in today bought a mower and a few other things the man who was so nice ignored me snubbed me and of course that lady told them all to snub me. It was my benefit to get the things I got so I did. They won't last long treating long time customers like that. read more

This is a membership store that headquartered in Oregon. Unlike Costco, this is a one time lifetime membership. I guess you could compare this chain to the old country store from the early 1900's. A little bit of everything, but not everything that you need. There's plumbing supplies, kitchen, camping, garden tools and supplies and camping and hunting. The store won't have everything under the sun, like the big box stores, but they do have a lot of what you need and it's great to support a local company. Give it a try. read more

It's like stepping back to 1985 with this place, because it just hasn't changed one bit. The layout is identical, and they are still a great spot for home improvement stuff, hardware, and camping/fishing/hunting stuff. I like this small local chain. It's very humbling. If you have an uncle, parent, or grandparent in Oregon....it is certain they shop at Bi Mart. Or at the very least they come here on lucky number Tuesday. Inexpensive They carry a large selection of every day variety items. No U-Scans, so consider waiting in line, especially if there's an eld person WRITING A CHECK!!!??? One thing that bothered me today, the cashier asked "would you like cash back?" they always do, immediately after you declare the words "debit", anyway, I say, "yeah okay I'll get 20.", "oh no, there's a $10 limit". Well, I guess I'll take 10. Why fcking bother! I have never asked for cash back to get $10. I didn't need to withdrawal money, but a ten dollar limit?! Lame. read more

This is my favorite store. I shop here exclusively at least once a week. The prices are the cheapest in town and compared to amazon.com even cheaper than them. The customer service is amazing, and the staff are wearing face masks. My complaint is that only a third of the customers are wearing face masks with the coronavirus going around. This store has a lot of elderly shoppers and it isn't right that they aren't being taken care of better. Bi-Mart has a lot of signs up now and tape on the floor for distancing but no effort is being made on getting customers to wear face masks to protect the elderly. read more

The pharmacy at this location is off-the-charts amazing. They always have a good attitude and help me whenever I need them.

I just don't get why the need for a $10 card to enter the store. Guess they are tiring to be cool and act like Costco. The employees are rude. I asked one employee if they carry Dietetic socks and she kept saying "huh" "huh" and then said "socks? NO" the way she said it was extremely rude. Few weeks back I was in with my grandparents and the cashier asked my grandmother to place the items closer to her flatbead scanner, but my grandmother placed it closer to the edge and the cashier made a groaning sound, sighed and had a pissed off look. It was like 6 inches off for Christs sake! Prices may be a bit cheaper then other places but the customer service needs work real bad. read more

Lots of the older crowd go here. They have a good verity of things here. I go to pick up fishing, camping, gardening, kitchen, storage, medical, pet, ammo, and BBQ things here. Cashiers are kinda slow. Employees help if you ask. read more

This is for the Photo Dept. only. We took our wedding pics. in from 5 disposable cameras. We waited till the following week to pick them up. At that time we were told they were not in. Came in a few days later and was told they would not be in for 3 weeks. (What? Thank you notes with pictures would now be delayed). Went in the said time only to be told the film is sent to California! And it could take 4 weeks! They said we would be called when they came in. We ran some errands on another day & I ran over to the photo section just to check, there they were. What happened to my call as promised? This is a NW store but outsources to California for photos? They should have said from the get go how long this would take plus gave that call as promised. Next time Walgreens is the out photo stop. Shame on Bi Mart!!! read more

This review was intended for the Forest Grove Bi Mart. Not the Hillsboro one. Therefore I let it at 5 stars.: There used to be a friendly few pharmacy techs working at this location. Unfortunately, with the false fear and lies about the increased numbers instilled in the public on the Covid cases (I am one of thousands that was reported in a medical file to have Covid related illness despite my NEGATIVE test result, that I caught after insisting on seeing my chart) this mask nonsense has people like the new pharmacy cashier taking every opportunity to be the mask police. She does it in a way that is so unnecessary and rude. Like she failed a police psych test and is jumping at the opportunity to boss others around. My mask was on (again, all the dirty masks in the world will not stop the need to spread fear and compliance pushing, clearly it's doing no good if numbers were truly rising) and there was a VERY SLIGHT dip on my bridge with the mask and like usual, I've seen her do this to others, she jumped at the opportunity, plexy glass between us and no other customers within 10 feet, to order me to adjust it. This causing the pharmacist to stop what he was doing, to come and give her back up. It was all completely unnecessary. Maybe she's just got one of those faces/voices that makes a person want to throat punch her, but after over 10 years of coming here I will be looking for another pharmacy. I dealt with people like her in high school, you know, the hall monitors with a clip board looking for your bathroom pass? I don't need that crap from the ONLY BUSINESS IVE BEEN TO THAT UNNECESSARILY HARAsses it's customers. read more

The reason for the membership is to control and keep and eye on who can come in and leave the store. This cuts down on shoplifting (being a store in that bad part of town), so that they can benefit from low shrink, and you can benefit from low prices. Shoplifting is a problem for all retailers and they have to absorb the cost somehow. They do this by raising the price to cover the theft. In essence, every honest person pays for every dishonest person's actions. Conversely, most stores are not Bi-Mart and don't have a membership policy, which is why their prices are not low. In your instance, the cashier was probably just having a bad day. You have to keep in mind, though, that cashiers in retail have to put up with some really socially disagreeable people. They are under stress from the start of their shift, to the end of their shift. I know this. I've done it for 14 years... Hope this helps, Pram read more
