The lady who I am assuming is the owner since she's the one who give you the checks had the worst customer service ever. I went trying to be nice but she was either having a horrible day or I made her mad by saying hi. Idk. I went to get a check from selling something and she kept sighing and rolling her eyes. I went to grab the check cause I thought she was handing it to me and then she had to type something in the computer okay that's fine and then throws the check on the counter and I had to catch it so it didn't go in the ground. I have been in here numerous times when my kiddo needs something. She needed old fashioned clothes for an Oregon Trail production at school, and this is where I found the pioneerish blouse we needed. For $4. YES! I also found an awesome colorfully splattered happy face sweatshirt. And other times I have bought books or Halloween costumes, as well as jeans and capri pants. Gently used, and in good shape. I like that the store doesn't smell funny like some consignment shops I've been to, and I think the people who work here are great. This is a great place to get well maintained second-hand clothing for children. They have a large selection and looking through everything I'm surprised that kids wore this stuff! It's impressive. And if you have any questions their staff is really helpful. They have a good variety of other items as well. Always a few cribs and strollers around. They have a nice selection of baby swings, nursing items, cloth diapers, swaddling blankets, etc. etc. They also have a good selection of maternity clothing. While most of the store's items are second-hand, they do offer some new items as well. Mostly to do with feeding and sanitation. read more

Since before my first child was born, my wife and I have been hearty consumers of non-used children's clothing. And, my kids are very good at wearing out what we buy them, be it new or used. Back On the Rack is great. It doesn't have that thrift-store smell to it. The clothes are clean and in good condition. The staff is very friendly. It has been the rarity that we have not been able to find something we've needed. In fact, just today, as I'm planning a surprise snowboard trip for my sons, I've been calling all over to find some snow pants for my younger son. Although their winter gear had been put into storage, the cashier working today went up in the attic, found a snowsuit, and had it waiting for me. read more

I have been to this shop three times, with no plans on returning. On each visit I shopped around the store and found prices on most everything to be way too much. That seems to be the way most of the consignment store fronts are these days. I found clothing that should not have been accepted for resale. Warn out old Nike sweatshirts are not worth more than a couple dollars (name brand or not!), and I recall the one I saw being priced around $15. And it was beat up pretty good. Honestly, throughout the store, things seemed to be priced at just a little below the full price that you might see at Wal-Mart or Target. The mark up is way too much!! I'd rather buy new than used with prices like what you find here at Back on the Rack. I recommend waiting until Pass It On or My Kids to your Kids consignment events if you are in the market for gently used items. Or Baby and Mama in Hillsboro may be a good options. When I last checked it out they seemed to be pricing products much more reasonably than BOTR. read more

Normally quite well stocked and all of the clothes are well sorted and organized. No holes or weird used clothing smell. The name is fitting as often it seems the prices are consistent with literally putting things back on the rack at their initial (new) sale price. But, for the sake of the environment and not supporting fast fashion, it's a great fit. read more

I started my daughter's back-to-school shopping here in efforts to save a few bucks. I'm a fan of nice children's clothing, like blouses, button ups or nice quality dresses. Call me picky, but I do not like purchasing children's clothes with things like "princess" or disney characters or some other brand pasted all over the front of a t-shirt. I also dont think pink is that great of a color, and girl's clothes should be all the colors of the rainbow! Because of this, I tend to lean towards Gymboree, Crazy 8 or Old Navy for my daughter's fashion. Anyone who knows these stores knows they cost a ton. At Back on the Rack I got 6 new outfits for her today in VERY GOOD condition for $85. 3 of these outfits were from Gymboree. I feel like this is not the absolute BEST deal I could have gotten, but I am pleased with what we got. There is a lot of garbage you have to weed through to get good clothing, but like any second hand store, you have to dig to get the treasures. Pros: Lots of toys, baby accessories/furniture, kids clothes and maternity things to pick from. Friendly staff A play area for kids to stay entertained Cons: Not as cheap as I was expecting, but not outrageous either. NO AIR CONDITIONING. Do NOT shop there on a 90 degree day! I was sweating my face off! I have never tried to sell anything with them so I am not sure how that process works. Overall, I am pleased with this little store and recommend it for a stop by if you are shopping for kids or baby clothes! read more

Pregnant? Just have a baby? Have a kid or more? This place will most likely have what you need. And better yet, they will take your unwanted items to sell and you will get a good amount back. I take stuff in here about every 3 months and every time I go in to check my balance I'm always shocked at how much money I've gotten back. I typically spend my money their rather than ask for a check because they have stuff I'm always in need of. The store is much bigger than it appears out front. read more

The lady behind the counter is always super friendly. They have a huge selection and depending on what you're looking for it is a great value. We have found lots of Ralph Lauren and Nike/Jordan items for baby. It's nice to not have to drive all the way out to Portland. read more

I thoroughly enjoy Back on the Rack. I have been to many other children's resale shops and this one by far is much more organized, has a large selection and is priced accordingly. If you bring stuff in to resale, they give you a fair trade credit which is awesome! I would recommend them any day. read more

This place has a very large selection of all things baby and young child. I have an 18 month old granddaughter and have been finding many gifts and such there. Also of note, one can rent necessary baby equipment for visits, like a pack-n-play, a car seat, a highchair etc.. Very reasonable too. The employees are wonderful and know what they have in stock, I have gone in and just told them what I need and they find it. The quality of clothes and toys is absolutely excellent. I have been going here for many years. I love that the store is clean, organized and SMELLS GOOD. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It is the biggest children's store that I have been to with a great selection of clothes and toys. I always leave happy with something for my kids. They do get a bit busy in there with customers bringing stuff in and sometimes have to wait for them to go through your things. But this should be expected with the size of their store. It just means more things for me to shop for the next time I go in, so I love it! :) All in all, great prices, great selection, great workers... GREAT STORE! read more

Just got back from my first time consigning with them and I am very unhappy with my experience. When I came back to see what she had wanted to buy she said she would only do trade because it wouldn't be worth the commission I would have recieved but then she wouldn't show me what she accepted. She said it was 3 items and already put it on the rack & dosen't remember what it was. I thought that was kinda shady considering I dropped off a huge bag of clothing items. Also when I had decided on an item which was only a few dollars more than the instore credit she gave me she wouldn't even budge but than again I have no idea what she took of mine. Very unhappy with experience, will not spend a dime in her store. Oh and this was the OWNER that I was talking to. Wow! read more
