Plus check out the beautiful home decor. The style of Sundance, founded by Robert Redford, is relaxed, casual boho chic. They have lots of silver jewelry with touches of turquoise and coral; clothing in sand and shades brown with colors of a warm desert sunset mixed in; home decor in the same warm, earthy hues. I find it very soothing. Many of the sweaters and clothing items have Aztec prints or soft floral designs. Lots of calf length cardigans and big oversized sweaters which are even more popular this year during Covid when people are seeking loose, comfortable clothing. Their jewelry speaks to me, especially their collection of earrings from a variety of artists. Silver is my preference on its own or mixed with gold, and long and dangly is my style. They have so many options. While they don't call out Ayla Bar, I recognize many of the pieces from her collection. Made from Czech glass, mixed metals and fabric, her signature design stands out and I'm happy to see her pieces as part of the Sundance curated collection. The store itself has the same vibe as the items within. Casual, relaxed, worn in like your favorite pair of jeans. The people working here are friendly, helpful, and most important, leave me to browse at my leisure! Located on the same strip as the Regal Theatre, across from Pendleton and right next to Sephora, somehow it took me a few years to realize Sundance was at Bridgeport. How the heck did I miss that? Well, now I know and I'm telling you!!! Whenever I am at Bridgeport, I will definitely be stopping in to check out the merchandise as it changes seasonally. Sundance is a destination for me; meaning I will now go to Bridgeport deliberately just to go to Sundance! It's one of my favorite stores!

I've been buying stuff online from Sundance for both myself and my husband for well over 10 years. Some of our favorite sweaters, coats, and shirts are from Sundance. When I discovered this store in Tigard (I live in Portland), I was thrilled to go there and see the merchandise in person. I wasn't disappointed by the store. It is stunning! If I worked there, I'd spend my salary buying everything. I went there with my husband (or I should say I dragged him there -- he hates shopping). I hadn't intended to buy anything, but I saw a gorgeous sweater (of course) and my sweet husband wanted to purchase it for me for my upcoming birthday. The sales person that helped me and showed me to the dressing room was charming. Things got weird when my husband paid for the sweater. When he handed his American Express card to the person that rang him up (not the same person that helped me), she said that she hadn't seen an American Express card of that color in a long time. We have the green card, the basic American Express card. I guess most of their customers have gold or platinum (or higher level) cards? WTH? I made a joke that turquoise is my favorite color. (I think the green American Express card looks turquoise.) Anyway, I'll let you decide what her intent was. For me, that comment was insulting. We won't be back. I'll be buying from the catalog from now on.

Immediately I went up to the owner to exclaim how incredible the leather products and bespoke clothing was. I felt like I went through the rabbit hole and ended up in NYC at a boutique. Absolutely stunning one-of-a-kind leather products. The totes, backpacks, handbags and wallets are all designed and crafted with premium Italian leathers. The styles are unique and yet classic; they are timeless pieces that you will use forever. Surprisingly, the leather is very affordable. There were cross body bags for under $200. One of Tony's newest designs - a north south black tote with a slight cinch towards the top to give the straight bag a little curve - and brass studs is incredible! The craftsmanship is exquisite, every detail well thought out. I may have to have that bag! If you want clothing tailored specifically to your measurements or to create a specific one-of-a kind jacket, dress, suit - this is where you go! There are shelves of fabrics and findings so you can work with Tony on custom pieces. This must be where some of the Portland Trail Blazers get their amazing, high fashioned suits. The men's section has all the norms but with style! If you are seeking a gift for the man in your life, this is hands down the place. Wether it's a jacket, wallet, belt, tie, scarf, briefcase, backpack, duffle bag, sling - you can't go wrong! The House of Rose is a reason to take a ride out to Bridgeport Village. If you want a special piece of clothing or leather for yourself or to give as a gift that you know will be treasured, you will find it here. I'm so happy I discovered this gem!

This shop is located in Bridgeport Village Shopping Center, an open air mall in Tualatin, and though there's not parking right in front of it there's plenty of parking kind of around the corner. They have some truly lovely stuff here. There was one brand called Viverano that caught my eye almost as soon as we walked in and I'm not sure if I should be glad or not that my daughter has gotten close enough to aging out of their size range (their biggest size is 18-24) because their cardigans on display here were gorgeous. And adorable!! They carry children's clothes in a higher range of sizes than some kid's stores, I think. In addition to clothes there are some toys and kid-related things like plates, books, and so on. I found a great dress for my kiddo and I can't wait to see her in it; although it says it's a 2T, and she's in the 95th percentile or higher for height and weight, this is super big on her so I'll try it again when she's closer to two. They had some really cute spring dresses when we were here but I restrained myself. The staff here was really welcoming and friendly, and sweet with their little clients. I was really pleased with my experience here. In checking out their website, I see that they specifically mention that if you purchase online they are happy to run your purchases out to your car so that you don't have to find a spot and lug in your littles. That is so helpful and if I was living in Oregon right now that would be a big attraction to me. As it is, I will be following them on social media and keeping an eye on their sales.

Upon entering, my husband gave a warm greeting to the sole employee by saying "Hi! How are you?" To which she simply glared and continued her phone conversation. Ok, strike one. As we perused, her convo became increasingly more apparent that it was a personal call and not work related. She was booking and adding additional treatments to her HAIR APPOINTMENT!! No "give me a minute and I will assist you", "if you need any help with anything just let me know!", or even a "Hi! Welcome to Le D Bug!"... second strike. She just continued to look annoyed and oblivious to the customers wandering the store in general (we were the only ones present outside of herself). This was the last strike. It was uncomfortable so we ultimately left. She once again made no move to say "bye", "thank you", "eff you", literally NOTHING. They have a decent amount of nontoxic options, a mix of cute and cheesy clothing. Leans more towards girls than boys but that's merely based on my 5 mins inside. Your lack of CS, human decency, or even personable interaction cost you a nice hefty sale. I'll trek down to the Pearl next time...
