Love this store! After getting and drooling over the Sundance catalog for years, it's wonderful to have a brick & mortar store where I can see, touch and try on the clothes, boots, jewelry and handbags. Plus check out the beautiful home decor. The style of Sundance, founded by Robert Redford, is relaxed, casual boho chic. They have lots of silver jewelry with touches of turquoise and coral; clothing in sand and shades brown with colors of a warm desert sunset mixed in; home decor in the same warm, earthy hues. I find it very soothing. Many of the sweaters and clothing items have Aztec prints or soft floral designs. Lots of calf length cardigans and big oversized sweaters which are even more popular this year during Covid when people are seeking loose, comfortable clothing. Their jewelry speaks to me, especially their collection of earrings from a variety of artists. Silver is my preference on its own or mixed with gold, and long and dangly is my style. They have so many options. While they don't call out Ayla Bar, I recognize many of the pieces from her collection. Made from Czech glass, mixed metals and fabric, her signature design stands out and I'm happy to see her pieces as part of the Sundance curated collection. The store itself has the same vibe as the items within. Casual, relaxed, worn in like your favorite pair of jeans. The people working here are friendly, helpful, and most important, leave me to browse at my leisure! Located on the same strip as the Regal Theatre, across from Pendleton and right next to Sephora, somehow it took me a few years to realize Sundance was at Bridgeport. How the heck did I miss that? Well, now I know and I'm telling you!!! Whenever I am at Bridgeport, I will definitely be stopping in to check out the merchandise as it changes seasonally. Gorgeous store, but strange vibe from one of the sales staff. I'm a huge fan of the Sundance catalog. I've been buying stuff online from Sundance for both myself and my husband for well over 10 years. Some of our favorite sweaters, coats, and shirts are from Sundance. When I discovered this store in Tigard (I live in Portland), I was thrilled to go there and see the merchandise in person. I wasn't disappointed by the store. It is stunning! If I worked there, I'd spend my salary buying everything. I went there with my husband (or I should say I dragged him there -- he hates shopping). I hadn't intended to buy anything, but I saw a gorgeous sweater (of course) and my sweet husband wanted to purchase it for me for my upcoming birthday. The sales person that helped me and showed me to the dressing room was charming. Things got weird when my husband paid for the sweater. When he handed his American Express card to the person that rang him up (not the same person that helped me), she said that she hadn't seen an American Express card of that color in a long time. We have the green card, the basic American Express card. I guess most of their customers have gold or platinum (or higher level) cards? WTH? I made a joke that turquoise is my favorite color. (I think the green American Express card looks turquoise.) Anyway, I'll let you decide what her intent was. For me, that comment was insulting. We won't be back. Robert Redford is coming to town. Sort of. As part of his expanding business empire, the sundance store which sells boho chic clothing for men and women, home decor, and accessories just opened in Bridgeport. It is right across from Tommy Bahama, so the casual yet pricey resort wear market is covered. I do get a kick reading their blog and description of items which reminds me of Seinfeld's J. Peterman [1] catalog missives: "It combines the spirit of old Mexico with a little big city panache. I like to call it the Urban Sombrero." At sundance, "We promise to continue our support of the independent, free spirit; the timeless craftsman; the ageless adventurer." I almost purchased their Santa Fe Fringe Boots based on the description alone, "Short and sassy leather ankle boots, deeply fringed below a curvy topline, are the fresh and flirty Western choice. Distressed leather, leather sole and chunky heel." Most of the apparel features vivid patterns and loose fit. Dresses average $150 and jeans in the "Denim Shop" are around $100. They only have a handful of stores which are primarily in Texas and Colorado and the Western and mountain themes seem more suited to those locales, but I suppose you could pick up items for a Bend weekend here too. Let them know that it is polite to greet EVERY customer walking in to your establishment, not just the white, upper class-appearing clientele. The actions of your staff in ignoring my daughter while greeting and offering assistance to every other customer was hurtful and unprofessional. Do better. read more

Let me just say that shopping for clothes isn't my favorite activity, yet I so look forward to visiting this store! The saleswomen are lovely (I was helped by Megan, the best, and I hope I spelled her name right), the store is beautiful, and it's a pleasure to be in there. The clothes fit me perfectly. Sundance is such a cute store with a very relaxed vibe. All of their pieces are so unique. I came shopping the other night and Mindy was really sweet and was amazing in helping me find what I was looking for. if you buy anything from Sundance make sure you won't need to return it. I returned a dress 10 days ago. I have called twice to find out when my return will be credited to my card. I have been told it will be another 2 weeks before I will see a credit on my card. That makes a month for a credit to show on my card. I will never order from them again. So many stores credit when the UPS label they provide shows it is in the system. Is Sundance in such bad financial shape that they must keep us waiting for a month? Beware. At the initial purchase they offer full returns. How is it a full return if my money is held for at least 30 days? that is 30 days they have my money. Bad business practice. read more

Rude employees make the store feel awkward. Too bad. I love the clothes and jewelry but will only buy thru the catalogs now. I made the effort to find a parking spot, walk all the way over there to shop. I walk in and the young employee says put on your mask. I told her I'm vaccinated and she basically called me a liar ("we have no way of knowing that") It just hit me wrong. I left annoyed. I love Robert Redford tho. read more
