We went in on Halloween day due to my son deciding last minute he wanted/ needed a suit for his Halloween costume. Hands down Bailey was & is the best. She was knowledgeable, helpful, kind, & patient beyond measure. my son didn't have a good idea of what he wanted but I knew it would have to be comfortable, good quality, & to his style. He's quite discerning about his clothes, especially his formal attire. Bailey pieced together suit pants, tuxedo shirt, blazer, vest, & a tie that my son not only loved, felt confident in, but was also comfortable. My son tried on so many things & we were in the store for what felt like hours (it was under 45 minutes thanks to how knowledgeable Bailey is) but Bailey never made me feel rushed or bothersome. Her no pressure, calm, & kind sales approach is why we left happy & will return again & again. My son looked epic on Halloween & at the opera! I can't say enough good things about this store. Bailey definitely deserves all the credit.

My husband got his wedding suit here and it was one of the most disappointing experiences…read more They had tons of fabrics to choose from -- but nothing out of the ordinary. It was incredibly disorganized and we had to dig through fabric books to find something similar to what he was looking for in terms of color. Tiger was nice, but VERY new to this. We were hoping for a little more guidance/expertise, but his style didn't quite align. He didn't ask any of the right questions and we had a significantly better experience at Indochino in terms of measuring. The cut on the suit is pretty bad. After alterations, it was still slightly off. We ended up taking it elsewhere to get the right fit. It took a long time time to get the suit, shirt, waistcoat, and tie. They didn't even tell us when it was ready for pick up - we had to call and ask. The first shirt that arrived was entirely wrong (and like three inches too short) so they had to make a new one. We ended up ordering his shirt from Proper Cloth instead (which turned out to be awesome). Overall, it's fine. But if we could do it all over again - we would definitely go somewhere else.

I had a great experience at Joy's last month while shopping for a dress for my daughter's wedding…read more She had a terrific selection and my biggest problem was making up my mind which one to choose. I ended up with a lovely sky-blue crepe tank dress with flounced, rhinestone-adorned tiers. When I walked in and saw how much formalwear she had in there, my first thought was, "Oh, no, there's going to be nothing but conservative, matronly, stiff, MOB dresses." That was clearly not the case. When I told Joy what I was looking for (formal but fun and sort of sassy) she immediately pulled out a fantastic selection of dresses and I had the best time trying them on. She even brought out shoes so I could get the full effect. It turned out to be a really fun experience and Joy was terrific. In response to another reviewer who felt the level of service was determined by how the shoppers are dressed -- I was in a T-shirt and capris when I went in, and I got terrific service from Joy herself, so thumbs up from me on that score, for sure. Thanks to Joy, I'm going to feel confident and fantastic at my daughter's wedding. If you need special-occasion wear, I highly recommend this shop.

I purchased my wedding dress in February and was given a list of recommended alteration shops…read more Unfortunately, every place I called was no longer taking new bridal clients, which was disappointing. After doing some research on my own, I found Chelsea at ReThread Alterations in Newberg, Oregon. I live on the Oregon Coast, so it was quite a drive, but it ended up being one of the best decisions I made during wedding planning. From my very first appointment, Chelsea was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. She made me feel comfortable right away and took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted to change about my dress. Her bubbly personality instantly put me at ease, while her confidence and expertise reassured me that my dress was in the best hands. Because my wedding was only about a month and a half away from my first fitting, I was a little nervous about the timeline. On top of that, trusting someone to alter such an important and expensive dress is intimidating. Chelsea never made me feel worried. She was organized, confident, and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. At my second fitting, I put my dress on and it fit like an absolute glove. Every alteration was exactly what I had envisioned. It was perfect. I couldn't have been happier with the final result. The alteration costs were more than I initially expected, but after seeing the finished product, I can honestly say it was worth every penny. You're not just paying for alterations--you're paying for years of skill, talent, craftsmanship, and peace of mind. Chelsea's work exceeded my expectations, and I truly believe she earned every dollar. I would wholeheartedly recommend Chelsea to any bride, bridesmaid, or anyone looking for a talented, trustworthy, and experienced seamstress. She made the entire experience stress-free, and I walked away feeling absolutely beautiful in my dress. Thank you, Chelsea, for helping make my wedding day so special!

She did a wonderful job with the alterations and included helpful tips and a video to help the bridesmaids learn how to do the bustle. Clear, upfront pricing as well. Highly recommend!

When we first arrived, a woman came to help us, but she was very short with us and didn't acknowledge our wedding when we mentioned it. While my husband was trying on his outfit, she never checked in--not even once. He even tried making eye contact, but there was no response. Then Christian stepped in, and everything changed. His customer service was outstanding--he stayed with us the entire time, was incredibly kind, and when he asked what the occasion was, he immediately congratulated us on our wedding. He made the experience so much better. Thank you, Christian!

Now that he's outgrown that suit, we decided to try the Tanasbourne location. The experience could not have been more different. When we walked in, five employees were on the floor, yet none acknowledged us. One was finishing with clients - they left, two were talking at the counter (training?), one was assembling a display table, and another was simply pacing through the store. We walked past all of them without a single greeting or even eye contact. My son has grown four inches this year, so we grabbed several sizes and headed to the dressing room. We passed four employees and another stepped out from the back as I loaded the dressing room -- still no acknowledgment. Surprisingly, I discovered another customer sitting in the dressing area - with no assistance either. While my son tried on items, I waited a few feet from an employee building the display table, and again, not a word was spoken. It was clear the staff were focused on tasks, not customers. Nothing fit on the first try, and by then I no longer felt welcome. I told my son, "Let's go." He asked what to do with the clothes, I said, "I know it's rude, but leave it all in the dressing room. This place feels rude, and I'm not spending my money here." I was hoping to have an enjoyable experience today with my son buying a whole new suit and accessories. Instead, we got the cold shoulder from 5 employees on a Sunday afternoon. We read the room, we left. Tanasbourne MW: Not serving customer service, not serving effort, not serving anything - hard pass. If you want to spend real money and actually feel good doing it, go to the Men's Warehouse in Salem, Oregon instead.
