This consignment shop has a small footprint but it is filled with a lot of merchandise and great finds! I bring clothing & bags here to consign and I shop here so I can vouch for how particular they are. They only take gently worn items that are currently in style or in demand. No exceptions. Makes sense since they are limited in space and the goal is to move the merchandise. Because of the quality, the prices are on the high side, but you get what you pay for. Pieces that don't move quickly do get marked down and there is often a sale rack. And if I can be very blunt, this shop does not have the "smell" that so often accompanies resale clothing. Again, it's because of their strict take in rules of cleaned, pressed clothing. Staff is friendly and helpful while never being intrusive. Located right on NE Broadway where NE Weidler connects making it the a small sectionof two-way traffic on this one way street. So Portland! It is within the first block of this section on the right side if driving east so go slow! In traffic it is hard to pullover and park. That is the only downside. Otherwise, this is a great place to shop for in style, gently worn clothing. They also have another location in SW right off of Macadam but this location has more merchandise.

Awesome Prana and Fabletics workout tops make me want to hit the gym in style!

Here we go again is a very cheery and well organized resale clothing shop. If you're looking for a little joy today, definitely stop in when you're in Portland! I found some nearly new Prana and Fabletics workout tops that just make me want to hit the gym in style. Also several brand new size 11 & 12 shoes are an unexpected surprise for us tall gals.

My partner and I popped into Village Merchants on a whim -- and honestly, it turned out to be a…read moregreat little adventure. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how much stuff there was to look at. It's a big, sprawling thrift/consignment shop full of clothes, home stuff, accessories, shoes, random knick-knacks -- all sort of jumbled together in a way that makes browsing feel like treasure-hunting. We found ourselves drifting between aisles, poking through racks and shelves, and laughing at the weird, random stuff -- exactly the kind of spontaneous outing you want when you're with a partner and feeling casual. One review on Yelp summed it up perfectly: "This place has so much cool stuff, I had to really stop myself from buying everything lol." That's exactly how it felt -- part treasure-hunt, part nostalgia-trip, part bargain-hunting spree. What I loved about Village Merchants: * Variety: Clothes, jewelry, home goods, even old/outdoor items -- you never know what you'll find. * Budget-friendly: There were a lot of items at reasonable prices (or even "steals"), which made it fun to browse without worrying about overspending. * Good for pairs: Because there's so much to see and hunt through, it's a fun, low-pressure activity to do together. No rush, no expectations -- just exploring and chatting. Downsides / what to know: * It's easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff. Half the fun is digging; half the challenge is picking what you actually want. * Not everything is "dupe-worthy": some items are random, mismatched, or just "meh." You need patience to sift through. My Verdict: Village Merchants is a surprisingly fun little escape for a budget-conscious couple who doesn't need fancy restaurants or parties -- just something chill, slightly quirky, and with a chance you'll score something cool. I'd totally go back again.

Carefully selected, gently worn, vintage patterns and styles the 50s, 60s, and 70s were known for immediately catch your eye. The day I was there, the dresses from the 60s and early 70s in their mod swirls of yellow, orange & lime green or fuschia, pink & white paisleys had me mesmerized. Hats, handbags, boots, dresses, coats, incense, jewelry, textiles, bar ware, candles, crystals, ornaments - Workshop Vintage has it all and then some. If you are seeking an occasional chair, they have so many styles and cool pieces. Wish I had room for more! They just don't make these styles anymore or of the same quality. They usually have a large selection of couches also in shades of teal, orange, avocado just like on The Brady Bunch. Even plaid, if that's your thing. And of course boomerang shaped coffee tables to complete your seating area. There are so many unique one of a kind pieces too, like an upright piano transformed into a bar. OMG, I wish I had the space for it! What I always have room for is unique bar ware and glasses and they have lots to choose from.
