We had two postpartum doulas from Wildwood, Angela and Sophia. They were both amazing and so so…read morehelpful. Angela helped us during the daytime, and was a great resource for childcare, information, and just someone to talk to. They watched my daughter so I could do other things, they helped me use my pump for the first time, and they showed me how to use a carrier safely, among other things. I felt very comfortable with them and appreciated having their help. Sophia helped us get more sleep at night by watching our daughter. We didn't realize how indespensible that would be, and appreciated the extra sleep so much. Even when I was breastfeeding, she would bring my daughter in and take her back right after she was done nursing, so that I was only awake for a short period. Once I was waking up to pump instead of nurse, Sophia would take care of the pump and milk, and wash the parts so I didn't have to. I really liked Wildwood's policies and prices, and the way they paired us with doulas. We also changed our schedule and package partway through after realizing we wanted more nighttime visits, and they were very accommodating and helpful with that. I'd definitely recommend them.

Wildwood was on a list of recommended doulas from my OB and it was really important to me in…read moreselecting someone to work with that they had worked with our practice and in our delivery hospital before. We interviewed two doulas and I was honestly very torn because I really liked them both for different reasons. Heidi had such a calming presence even through zoom and I knew deep down that would be exactly what I needed. Little did I know at the time my seemingly low risk pregnancy would take some interesting turns. I don't know what I would have done without her constant reassurance. I ended up in the midst of a multiple day induction that picked up incredibly quickly when they broke my water. We had been in communication with Heidi throughout the weeks leading up to my induction and she got to the hospital very quickly when we let her know they had broken my water. Just as i suspected she was the calm in the storm, not just for myself but my husband as well. She took some photos for us of those initial moments together and made sure I got my lusted for post delivery meal before leaving us to get some rest. She stayed in close contact over the next few days while we dealt with a 72 hour hospital stay, a readmittance scare, and struggles with feedings. We had a lovely postpartum visit at our home when things calmed down and it warmed my heart so much to see her hold our son. She advocated for me during labor when I wasn't in the mindset to do so myself and made me feel so supported and safe. I've recommended Heidi and wildwood to everyone I know who has gotten pregnant since my delivery. They are truly such an amazing and supportive group.

Most generally the nurses the CNA's and all the helpers were absolutely amazing. Their attitude was positive uplifting, I did not feel well at all, their Joyful and happy faces coming into my room, they're gentleness at night when they had to take blood. All of it was amazing. There's not any one stand out that I can put in here because they were all stand outs! I was on the fifth floor room 5080 they were all magnificent... Except one, Alyssa was extremely cheerful when she came in full of smiles and caring until I annoyed her... I could not walk by myself. I had to have Help. She put her hands out and I grabbed one of her wrist. She jerked her hand away and said "don't touch my wrist. You'll hurt me!" being as unsteady as I was I reached out and started to grab the front of her shirt. She roughly took my hand and pulled it away! When I was trying to turn and adjust my walker to get to the bathroom, she said, "WHAT are you doing!" I was a little startled at the attitude... I felt she was rude and actually mean. In a situation where I think a nurse should be helpful and kind and understanding, Alyssa was not! Given all of the people who were there for the week I was there, they were fantastic! I would hate to think that Alyssa would treat all patients that way... She is honey, sweet until you annoy her, and then the rudeness comes out and the meanness towards your patients. I would hate to think of the way she treats some of the patients who are even more helpless "annoying" in her eyes. The rest of the staff was magnificent. I have absolutely no complaints at all, except for this one particular nurse, which is probably why she was so noticeable because everyone else was so kind! Even the ambulance drivers couldn't be more helpful and kind so Alyssa stood out in my mind! They're always seems to be "one bad Apple in the Bunch"...

As…read moremore of our friends get married, I am reminded how lucky we were to find a photographer like Katie! She listened to what we wanted, used our ideas and requests, and gave us several hundred fabulous photographs. We thought it would be cool to take pictures on these red picnic tables at McMenamin's Grand Lodge. She agreed and those are some of our favorite photos. Many of the other photos we received were of things we missed from being the center of attention, so they are extremely fun to look at and see what our guests and wedding party were doing while we were occupied. My husband and I are still in awe of the quality and how the photos made us look and feel. I never felt more beautiful than looking at those photos from our wedding. Both her and Greg were extremely professional and sweet. Just having two people with calm and gentle attitudes made me more calm and I can easily say that they made me more sane on my wedding day. When my father-in-law unexpectedly died just four weeks after our wedding, I requested if I could get the photos with him in it early and she had them to us within an hour. Still providing 110% even after the wedding was over! I highly recommend Katie Anderson for wedding photography.
