When I went to purchase my…read moreitems, there was only one cashier and there was some issue with the customer she was helping, for at least 10 minutes. Eventually a manager came to help her and the two of them continued to work on whatever the issue was. The original cashier just stood there, doing nothing at all. Eventually another cashier came to open another register and then her customer had an issue. Now those of us in line have been there at least 20 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement by anyone anywhere. We customers may as well been invisible. I knew there were at least 2 more workers in the store, one in the back corner straightening out the clearance racks (hardly a priority when you have customers waiting for 20+ minutes to purchase their items). I understand that there can be issues at the register, no prob. But the utter lack of acknowledging the customers, thanking them for their patience, or proactively calling another employee to help at the cash registers was epic in the utter disregard for customers. I love Columbia but wow, better training is absolutely needed!

They call it a clearance store however the clothes here were just regular sales. I think the store will be good for some winter items. The customer service level is just as minimal as the store and decor. One person seemed to be stocking shelves and one person behind the counter. No one is really there to assist the customer. (#1) As a result, I've rarely met TJ I didn't like, which includes this location next to Willamette Center. At one point TJ Maxx was in downtown Salem, but now this is the only one left in the city. Like many of the businesses in the same lot, it looks and feels new. However, unlike those businesses, TJ Maxx actually has a steady flow of people going in and out. There's no doubt, it's a popular store. (#2) Parking isn't an issue with so many open spaces and it's an easy place to be. Of the few times I've been, I feel this TJ's was solid inventory wise. I found a good amount of clothing for men's and was able to find a gift or two in the kitchen + home decor areas. I also scored a charger for my rental car and almost bit on some of their limited Oregon Ducks gear. No dice on the shoes (#3) but they do have some sizes in the 14-15 range. Service overall seems okay. They're good about letting folks use the restrooms (which were super clean) and keeping the changing rooms tidy. The cashiers are strangely a little slow and sometimes line form as a result. Given how often I'm in Salem, I'm certain I'll be back again. __________ (#1) Ok, not really. But the thrill of a good deal has never been more appreciated during these last two pandemic-laden years. (#2) And has more visitors than the mall itself. (#3) The plight of having large feet.

Their clothing style doesn't particularly appeal to me, it's a little too plain, but I do shop here for my basic t-shirts and long sleeve T-shirts. They are 100% cotton and feel so good, very comfortable to wear. Polyester blends make me hot, I need breathable fabrics! So twice a year I come here to stock up. Usually a few white, as we all know when you wear white you always end up with a stain! A few black, any shade of blue they are carrying that season, plus whatever other color catches my attention. They are of high quality and last through many washings. They come in V or crew neck, short or long sleeve - and I usually buy them at the $9-12 price point. Last time I was here I scored a pair of black waterproof pants, perfect for my daily walks in our rainy season, which lasts 6 months! I wear them over leggings so my legs stay warm and dry. They alone were worth the trip out to Woodburn! Staff is helpful, friendly without the typical "pounce" nature of so many stores. There if you need them and leave you alone otherwise. Perfect.

They were made out of good, jean material unlike a lot of the jeans or "jeans" made for babies and toddlers made out of fabric made to look like them. They feel durable, and they look classic. The store is large, bright and has a good selection of inventory. Everything is beautifully displayed with lots of aisle space so you can easily browse and see the merchandise. As the name implies, the clothing is black, white, combos of black and white, with pops of color here and there. The in season color was a dark bright blue. Their clothing ranges from dressy to casual. For formal occasions, I've found beautiful dresses with unique prints or solids in classic silhouettes. Over the years I have acquired many wardrobe staples for work: tailored jackets, dress slacks, turtlenecks, tanks and dresses. Plus lots of casual sweaters, black jeans and tops. Make sure to check out their accessories. They have fun pieces of affordable fashion jewelry. Long tassel necklaces, chunky chokers, dangly earrings, faux pearls and bracelets. Since I wear New Balance sneakers, I was looking for a specific style, their waterproof walking shoe that rolls when you walk. This technology really helps my plantar fasciitis keeping the weight off of my heal which is so inflamed. Unfortunately they don't carry this particular style but the sales rep showed me a few other options. . Since good walking shoes are expensive, even at the outlet, I didn't want to take a chance on an unknown when I actually have a style that has proven to work for me. Will definitely stop at this store every time I'm at the Woodbury Outlets to see if they have the style sneaker I wear and to check out the athletic wear, which seems to be the only thing I wear in these pandemic times!
