Everything was organized, clothing was hung on hangers, nothing laying on the floor. Again, Wow! The women's department had a large selection of dresses, and a variety in all the various sub-departments: sweaters, tops, pants, activewear, sleep and lingerie. Shoes and handbags. I found a zip up jacket in a cameo print that was different in that it is shades of black and gray not greens. It's so soft and perfect to wear with black yoga pants for the gym or running errands or meeting friends for lunch or...Best part, other than the cool cameo print, it was just $12.99. Love a bargain! Up front, almost when you walk in, there are two dressing rooms right in the middle of the women's department. I was fascinated. Turns out it's a great idea. When the store isn't busy, o need to staff the back dressing room. These "Pop-up" dressing rooms are visible to the cashiers and they are self entry. There is a rack outside the door for clothes you don't take. Very convenient. Also checked out the home decor area which had a decent selection and everything was neatly arranged on the shelves. Also wandered into a juniors as I often find tops and pants there for even less than in the women's department. Nothing caught my attention today, but the area was well stocked and again, clean. Took lots of pics because I have never seen a Ross so spotless. It felt like they just opened the store and I was the first one to enter! While other reviews commented on negative customer service, I didn't experience that at all. I needed assistance and a staff member on the floor was super helpful. Went through the check out to buy my cameo top then noticed a white ceramic Easter Bunny, modern in style, so came through the check out again. Each time the rep was efficient, friendly and accepted my OR license to avoid the sales tax, no problem. Good to know there is a shopping center just 15 minutes from my house that has both a Ross and a Marshall's for when I'm bargain hunting. Visiting in the morning on a weekday meant no traffic to or from Portland. And with Jantzen Beach on the way, it means I can also stop at HomeGoods and TJ Maxx!

When I'm on a mission, I have tunnel vision, so I was in and out, no purchase today. I do like Kohl's. Once Mervyn's closed awhile back, the reasonably priced department stores were JCPenney or Kohl's. They have good sales and coupons available for those on a budget, or just wanting a good deal. As far as the store is concerned, they have eliminated many of the brands that I used to look for. Many of the coupons do not work on the more premium brands. Shoe selection for men has been drastically reduced. Lastly, store employees are not helpful. They complain openly about their job, manager, or supervisor. I do not recommend shopping at Kohl's as they are no longer of value.

Great location for making donations, in any weather! They have a drive-thru drop off area that is…read morecovered, making it convenient in rainy weather as well. The flow of the entrance and exit from the drop-off area works really well since it's in the back of the building. Sometimes you have to wait in line a bit, depending on how much people are dropping off. Only one car can fit in the carport area at a time. Employees are always nice and helpful. As soon as you drive up, a bell rings signaling an employee that you arrived. They come out with a big rolling cart for you to put your donations in. Very easy process. They ask if you want a receipt, then you're on your way! I haven't shopped inside for many years, so I can't speak to the pricing or condition of items. I used to ride the MAX to work in downtown Portland, so I would hit the Goodwill for books to read on the way. They always had a nice selection and prices were great. Overall a great location for donation drop-off. Would definitely recommend!

I had a disappointing first experience here. I brought in two bags baby clothes (sizes 6-18 months)…read morethat were clean, organized, and folded neatly. Before leaving them, I was given the general explanation of how the buying/consignment process works. The woman doing the intake told me they were only taking seasonal items (fall/winter) and said that information was available on their website. I checked the website afterward and was unable to find that information posted. I also was not told that there was a "baby clothing buying freeze" or that baby items were not currently being accepted. If I had known that upfront, I would not have spent the time bringing everything in and leaving it for review. I was contacted later and told they couldn't take anything because they were on a baby clothing buying freeze, and that holiday items would not be purchased until September. That information would have been helpful to know before drop-off. I also received my clothes back unfolded and messy, despite bringing them in neatly folded. I understand that resale shops have to make decisions about what inventory they need, but clear communication about what categories and seasons you are currently accepting, especially before customers spend time sorting, folding, and hauling in bags of items, would make for a much better experience.
