I absolutely love Retails Thrift Store. The workers are all very kind and helpful. I appreciate…read morethe prices there too as I purchase items and donate them to Northwest Children's Outreach. Recently, management was so kind and donated to NWCO as well. What a blessing. I have family coming to visit and one thing they want to do is go to Retails! Thank you, Retails, for great management, clean store with good prices. I recommend this wonderful store and management. Thank you!

I would try to visit this store on a weekday day. We went on a Saturday and it was so busy, chaotic…read moreand a bit overwhelming. No staff maning the floor of the store. They just had cashiers with an extrmely long line. It took about 15 mins waiting in line to check out. Certian sections are well orgnized and others are not. It looks a bit dingy and messy in parts of the store. They allow dogs so that is nice and their sales benefit the Humane society which is awesome! We brought our pup. I found a few great nicknacks and a great little bench seat with an embroidered top for $7.99. Needs to be refinished. Really good prices on many things. There were not enough people working and they were kind of unproffesional and unhelpful. They seemed extremely stressed. I wanted to see things in a locked in a case on the floor. I politely asked the clerk about it and she said it will be like a half hour and never looked up at us at all or when checking us out or said anything pleasant or nice. Something for them to work on. Some customers also seem clueless about just standing in the way of others from looking at things and chit chatting for 5 - 10 minutes. It is not a coffee shop people.

They had the cutest selection of retro outerwear. There was specifically a lot of Nike, Columbia, North Face, and a few other similar brands I can't remember off the top of my head. They had Columbia wind breakers in every possible color and material. The store is arranged by size and color, so it's really easy to find what you're looking for. The only reason I didn't end up buying anything was because I know for an absolute fact that I could get a brand new Columbia jacket for the exact same price at the outlet across the street. Pretty much all of their jackets were marked $25, which is how much they go on sale for brand new at the outlet. But if I struck out at the outlet or needed a specific color/pattern windbreaker for a party/event or something, then I would definitely come back here. I did not experience any of the issues with snotty customer service or a bad smelling store that other reviewers complained about. I actually thought it smelled pretty decent for a consignment store/Oregon. The girls at the counter greeted me when I came in and told me to have a nice day when I left. To be fair, I wasn't trying to sell anything, but, as a consumer, I appreciated their very specific brand/style curation. One of the other reviewers was complaining that they didn't buy her used non-brand-name clothes--like-- girl, duh. Just because you thought something was cute and a good deal doesn't somehow entitle you to a high resale value. This store is a great place to kill some time or find some retro outerwear, and the negative reviews are seemingly all trash.

I'm from the Seattle area, and ordered a suit a bit last minute for an event about an hour east of…read morePortland from my local Men's Wearhouse. I was told that, since the suits ship from California, I should pick it up from a location in the Portland area, since it'd arrive a bit quicker. I have a bit of an unusual build (6'8", 325lbs, very quad/glute heavy) so, in order to make sure I had properly fitting pants for the event, my local Men's Wearhouse sent two pairs of pants, telling me they would just refund the cost of the second pair at the pickup location. Based on the reaction of the young woman behind the desk, that thoughtful act was the most unbelievable thing she'd ever heard. She made this judgmental face and went, "Well, we never do refunds, and we definitely don't order two pairs of pants. We make sure all ordered clothing actually fits, so I'm going to need to speak to my manager", in a tone you would expect from someone who thinks they're better than everyone else. 10 minutes later she comes out, says they emailed my local location, and that I can get to fitting. While trying on my clothes, my wife overhears her and a coworker talking trash about my Men's Warehouse, talking about how incompetent they were, and how they'd literally never heard of anything like this happening. Like, girl, look at me. I know very well you couldn't do any better. There was more that happened over the course of my interactions with her that I can't be bothered to type out, but that high and mighty, judgmental attitude of hers continued until I walked out the door. I'm writing this now, because I just returned my suit to my local Men's Warehouse to find that the refund for the second pair of pants would have been all of $10. TEN. DOLLARS. I told them what had happened when I brought the refund up here and they laughed, saying they were sorry I had to go through that and refunded me $40 for the trouble of having to deal with this location.
