It has a bunch of little booths where people have set up their own little section of things to sell. Kind of like a flea market that's always there. The perfect place to find random treasures. Its a 30 min drive from Vancouver on the 503. We spent almost 3 hours there and still hadn't completed our journey as we were starving. So we said we would return another day. We had so much fun walking from booth to booth, admiring and finding something to take home. This place has something for everyone. They house new merchandise, vintage, and antiques and even crafts and fabric materials. I found a vintage Mickey Mouse hand crank music box ( aka Jack in the box), and a mirror for my home. This store was very accommodating, we had our arms and hands full, they offered us baskets to keep our items in. The baskets stay in a cubbie space by the counter. A nice touch. The only thing I would mention for the owners, is to have more staff during the holidays. But, such a fun place to get caught up in, "I want, I want, I want" lol

They have a great selection of quality and stylish items. They also sell the popular Jelly Cat brand which my kids love. Very friendly staff. I've been in a couple times now where they have chances to get an extra discount off your purchase. I've bought a couple of Free People tshirts and many other miscellaneous items from here. I love to just go in and look around at all the beautiful inventory. The prices are fair, especially since the items are quality. This is not a dollar store by any means. The brands that are curated here are well known and established. Give them a look!

Went in today and stood around and walked around for a solid 20 minutes without the shop employee even acknowledging my presence. Needless to say, I will not be spending money here again. A "hello" or "how can I help you" go a long way. I will be giving my money to Williams Sonoma instead of shopping small business at Hallstrom Home. I am so disappointed and truly hope they get it together and learn that building clientele is easy if you can manage to be a polite and helpful shop employee.

There's wood paneling which helps you feel immersed into nature. There's an informational desk about the area, helpful for visitors newish to the area or those with questions. The gift shop is also accessible with the usual offerings of post cards, tchotchkes, and such. Do note that the restrooms are accessible outdoors at the side of the building. There's a pay area part of the center which is $5/18+, $2.50/7-17, free for 6 years old or younger, and family $15 for 2 adults and children 7-17 years old. They also honor veteran's disabled pass, WA state disabled pass, and senior limited income pass. It's definitely worth the admission, since there's a lot of exhibits explaining the geology of the area, the flora and fauna, the native peoples, and the later commercial and recreational uses of the area. There's even a place where you can walk into a huge mock up of Mt St Helens! Very fun. They have a short film playing about the eruption too. I didn't get to explore much outside as it was super rainy, but I saw a boardwalk trail out in the back. I did not see Mt St Helens due to the weather, but I'll be back when the weather is nicer!
