There was only one cashier, with 8 people in the line, plus another 5 customers off to the side, behind the other EMPTY cash registers!! I stood and waited about 3 minutes, but the line never moved. The lone cashier never looked up to see how long the line was. I had to walk up to this cashier to tell him that their were 8 people in line behind me plus 5 more behind ALL of the other EMPTY cash registers, and asked if he could please page for a second cashier. He paged for a back up cashier. No one came up to ring on the cash register! The cashier did not even bother to notice that no other cashier came to help. 5 minutes later two other employees walked out by the cash registers, but neither one of them bothered to look up to see what was now over 15 people waiting for a second cashier to open up a second cash register! And neither one of them bothered to call out to the large crowd of customers that they could come over to their cash register to be rung up! They continued to look down, not making any eye contact with customers, at all! I have shopped at this store before, and they FREQUENTLY have 8 to 10 customers in line with only one cashier. I am done! I will not be shopping in this location anymore! This does not happen at the other locations. I just read the other 23 customer reviews below for this store, here on Yelp. And 10 out of the 23 customer reviews mention only one cashier on duty, long lines of customers, and a few of the reviews mentioned poor customer service! read more

I have been to this store a few times now since they opened. it's fairly close to home so I don't have to drive to far to grab a few items as needed. I have found some great craft supplies to keep me busy thru the quarantine time and the best part is everything is a dollar. The store is always clean and well stocked. Staff is friendly and they have had a good amount of registers open throughout the holiday season. read more

My favorite in the area. Worth the extra 10 min drive, IMO. I love how welcoming the employees are to EVERYONE that walks in. I've seen them go above and beyond taking elderly to the items or offering to help them out to the car or around the store. SMILES for days. The store is so big and bright. I've always experienced it clean and well stocked. Dollar Tree isn't my first go to, since I try to support local, however, with a large family and kids in school, I can't imagine shopping anywhere else for so many last minute, literally need it in an hour and we're budgeted until payday this week, item(s). For what a Dollar Tree is, and the type of items they carry, and what we all know by now, the trash bags are NOT as good as the name brand and the plastic trays are going to warp in the microwave, but that said, this store is Woohoo! Today is Sunday January 17, 2021 at 6:00pm. My partner and I entered this location and there was a cashier and another employee blowing up balloons. The check out line went all the way to the back of the store. I walked up to the lady doing the balloons and she told me she was waiting for her register to boot. I looked over and it was already booted. The MOD came out and pulled her from the floor leaving one associate on the sales floor to ring customers out and answer question. The line was irritated with the lack of Managment on the sales floor. Customers were waiting 30 minutes to be rung out. read more

I love the store itself, and go out of my way to shop there BUT OH NO, the customer service. No one was in line..I had about $50. of craft items and wnted a$50. gift card. The line got so long behind me it stretched to the back wall. The lady behind asked the clerk to call for checkers, she wouldn't She finally did, no one came and another employee finally did. While i was standing there the other customers flared at ME, made comments. It was so uncomfortable. She couldn't process the gift card..took forever and people were commenting on MY debit card not working. It was awful. AND prior to this, the manager came up and asked her if she cleaned the bathroom, she said yes. He asked if she flushed the toilet, and she said no. What a fun place to shop! Buying anything for one dollar can make you feel like like some sort of rich shopping queen if you score lots of fun goodies. This store is one of the largest ones in the area and typically one of the most organized and well stocked. Only drawback are the long lines and bad parking in a dangerous parking lot with speeding cars and sketchy people. Happy and safe shopping to you! read more

The cashier greeted me when I walked through the front door - very friendly! Inspired by some ideas on Pinterest (yikes), I made my way to the dollar store in hopes of finding things on the cheap. I was able to find Mason-type jars, a table runner, garland (fake, of course, but still served it's purpose), little miniature tree decorations, cute glittery birds, hanging bells, mini strand of lights, flameless LED candles, cute glass vases, a surprisingly nice looking gold server plate, and more! I was able to decorate my entire entryway table for $18. Doesn't get any sweeter than that!! Also, there was an employee walking around with bells on her shoes - how could I not smile?? read more

Very poorly managed. Only I register open with over 15 people in line, during the Coronavirus with people 6 feet apart the line was over 3 rows long. I asked the manager if they could open another register and she and she said she had to count out the other person ?? Several customers kept asking the employee to get some help and she kept saying there is no body else available. Customer in front of me was getting very mad. It took me almost 30 minutes to get to the front. The person that die help me was the manager and I told her how poorly managed her store was and she really didn't seem to care. I asked her the name of her district manager and she gave me a paper and told me to write down my name and num2 but over a week later never heard from her manager. How, you ask, can I give a dollar store a 5 star rating? Well, let me tell you! Did you know that you could buy generic Benadryl at the Dollar Tree for...guess how much money. No really! Guess!!! Give up? Okay, I'll tell you. It was 1 dollar! Un dolar! one buck, one smackaroo!! The same exact ingredient in the name brand formula and it is sold at about 1/10th of the name brand cost. Wait, it gets better! Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to try some other things. The Dollar Tree glass cleaner (again $1!!) is made and distributed by the same company that makes Windex. It's the same thing; a simple vinegar cleaner! It works great! It is one of the best hard wood floor cleaners I have found! It cleans my counters beautifully! And best thing about it, other than the cost, is that it is not toxic like so many cleaners on the market. I'm sold on this stuff! What else can you get for 1 buck, you ask! How about this: mylar balloons, pink flamingos, Hawaiian leis, party trays, manila mailing envelopes, yummy cheese crackers, socks, soap, dish towels,wrapping paper, party decor, tooth brushes, classroom decorations, glasses, generic kitchen and bath erasers, antibacterial wipes, whew....I am out of breath! Honestly, for 1 buck, I am willing to try many other things at the Dollar Tree. I have been pleasantly surprised by what I have discovered there already. What's too lose by trying more? I mean, if I don't like it, I am only out a buck! This is like a little secret place that wise shoppers have been keeping secret and letting people like me believe that only junk was sold here. Boy was I out of touch with reality! But, being as kind as I am, I am letting you all in on the secret! Every time I've come in the store has been very clean and pretty organized. Cashiers are polite and work as fast as they can. The only negative thing is they never seem to have more than one register open. I'm a very patient person. But a lot of others are not. Which seems unfair for the cashiers whom have to deal with these grumpy impatient customers of yours. read more

Every time I have tried shopping here for cheap little holiday knick-knacks, there has been exactly one register open and between 7-10 customers in a huge, slow line. I just put back my items and leave, or turn around at the door. I was just in the sunset esplanade dollar tree store approx. 30 minutes ago ..... The checker was so rude !! I had an individual with me who has intellectual disabilities .... This checker would bot speak to her, would not give her her own receipt after she paid herself ... She handed me the receipt and I politely said that she could give receipt to the one who paid for her items .... She instead threw receipt on counter refusing to give it to the correct person . She never smiled during the transaction and kept rilling her eyes as if we were taking up so much of her time !!! We will never go to this store again in morning hrs ....
