I was happy to see that Daiso had come to the Pacific Northwest after shopping at their locations in So. Cal. but was a bit disappointed in the size of this store - seemed to be much smaller. There was still a good variety of items including food, maybe just less of everything. It's fun to check out the Japanese treats and cruise through the kitchen items to see if there's anything I can't live without. Freeze-dried miso soup always makes its way into my basket and this time I found some garden-related things that I "needed." hehe. Always an interesting shopping experience. read more

Glad we finally have Daiso in the area! I guess the downside was that I just got back from Japan and went to a lot of Daiso and the flagship one before visiting this one. I know I can't really compare but you can say it has a good amount of stuff but also not a lot? Haha. I think the snacks and food costs more than Asian supermarket prices. very happy Oregon finally got their own Daiso! Recently opened! Good variety of products, but I did see a good handful be out of stock (I visited on a Friday around 11am). Useful, great price, and unique items! Checking out was relatively easy. I just wished the employee had wrapped my bowls/cups/glassware in paper or something rather than just placed them in my reusable bag. There was also self check out registers! A lot of customers were not using them, please use them! I did see a good handful of employees trying to stock more products. Aisles are small, keep that in mind! (Most of the negative reviews are ones that visited after 7:30pm, mainly about food products - I kindly suggest being mindful of the visiting hours if coming in the evening or visiting Uwajimaya/local Asian grocery if really needing specific food/short on time) read more

I was shocked (pleasantly surprised) to see this store in my local shopping center. And I must say I was also surprised to see a diverse mix of customers in the store. It is smaller than other locations that I've visited but it seems to have a nice selection of products, was well stocked, clean and the staff was friendly. read more

This is the 3rd Daiso I've been to, the other 2 in California. This one is a bit bigger than the others, and thus has a bit more to offer. Aisle setup is a bit tight, and when it is busy, it can get a bit claustrophobic. The pricing is the yen price, and you can find signs throughout for the USD. Much of the items didn't seem to have a price, that I could see, so it was hard to parse that out. Highly suggest going on a weekday to avoid the crowd as I felt a bit rushed as others are trying to get around. If you need starter stuff for your place and are near, this is a great place to stop. read more

I like coming here because of the cute Asian imports but it is more pricy than dollar tree if your coming here for candy or that stuff but it's because it's not from here, the stationary has a lot to offer if your just starting and it's more affordable that some other stores like Muji. I will come here again but most of the stuff there is junk and low quality so make sure u know what your gonna get before you go! read more

Very excited to have gotten a daiso in Oregon! The workers at the store are pretty nice. Have visited on 3/4 different occasions within this year so far. Will say it's not the biggest daiso I've ever visited it's kind of small/mid sized. Wish it was located in Beaverton area rather than Hillsboro as more Asian spots are populated in the Beaverton area, but regardless gotta say it's a win to finally get a Daiso in Oregon! read more

This daiso is half the size of the one in Vancouver, so it's not stocked with as many items as most. The self checkout machines are so sensitive every scan gets you a double fee so watch your total closely. My biggest complaint is that only one register is not a self checkout, please hire a second cashier. read more

They INSANELY raised their prices...by 90% (pretty much double) on MANY THINGS. I won't go back for that reason.

I've never seen such a stupid management. We got there around 7:50 pm and there are about 10 people waiting in line to get in to the store that's not even crowded. There's an employee standing at the end of the line to cut off. The employee said they want to make sure all customers will finish paying by 9pm so they can close up. There're people still line up after her and she didn't tell them not to stay in line. In 10 mins, there're a whole bunch of people left the store. And they still won't let people to get in. It's not a big store. Will I shop there for an hour? Whoever think of cutting customers off at 8pm should get fired! read more

Would be 4 stars if it wasn't for this. i was walking around the stationary aisle until i heard a toddler throw up. Of course, the mom did clean it up but the worker barely did anything but hand her paper towel, bags, and disposable gloves. She put it in no effort trying to help whatsoever and didn't seem to sanitize the area afterwards. Gross! Over all, nice items and I will definitely be shopping there again! read more

I hope they bring more stuff . The store is little bit too empty compare to Daiso in Asia . But then again if Us gov keep charging tariff for foreign goods imported how these companies can survive to keep price down and bring more variety to us. Most stuff made in Asia countries . I had the same issue with the employee's. If you are at self check-out, you accidentally scan something twice, you try to remove the item and it tells you to wait for an employee, the employees don't even want to help. They tell you to restart your WHOLE transaction which I feel could be less time consuming if they could just walk over and help. It could help move customers through the check out area a LOT quicker than having to restart the whole damn transaction, especially since people are told to go through the self check out line if they are paying card. Not only that, I saw an employee walk past someone at check out asking for assistance. Check your employee's attitude and work ethic before they clock in to represent Daiso Japan. read more
