I used to frequent the original Beaverton TJ before it moved to Cedar Hills. I'm not sure if the new location has higher rent but there are not good deals here outside of clearance. The prices here are at Target prices or higher. I come w receipts: rolling carts are 50$ here. I bought one last week at target that looked nicer for 40$ and another one a few weeks ago at Michael's for 20$. The discount store should be less. Their art is 30$ and up. It used to be around 15$. They have cheap wall shelves that used to be around 12-15$ and now they're 20-30$. Candles are in the 12-14 range for the good brands. Same as a regular store w a sale. Ross carries the same brand and charges half the price. I used to come to TJ for the fun experience of finding a good deal, but this one is not it. I can get more for my money at costcos homegoods section, target, or Facebook marketplace.

Firstly, I love TJ Maxx. This store is close to the church I pastor so it's easy to stop by after we gather on Sundays. BTW...you're welcome to hangout with us amy Sunday for some spiritual encouragement. Check out my bio for our location. Anyway, this store is well stocked. I love when there stores are full of merchandise. I realize there are season where inventory gets a little thin. But they seem to keep a consistent stock of merchandise If you're in the area this is a great TJ to check out.

Wow. The last time I stepped into a TJ Maxx, it was borderline depressing. There was nothing. Shelves were bare. NOT the case here!! I mean, as you can see from my photos, this place has EVERYTHING!!! You can get your gifting, Holiday shopping all in one place. FINALLY good prices again and great selection. I realize it hasn't been open for too long but wow. Clean, bright, organized. A shoppers delight!! I wasn't upset at all at the beauty and selection, though my wallet might have been lol I definitely recommend this location in Cedar Hills Crossing, if you're nearby, to get your Maxx on.

Bright and shiney new TJ Maxx conveniently located in Cedar Hills Shopping Plaza. The store on SW 117 closed and this is a definite upgrade! Much bigger footprint, well lit interior, clean and well organized, and stocked. All the usual departments but with more room to walk the aisles and hunt for finds because isn't that why we all shop there? Right now there are lots of Halloween decorations - pillows, throws, pumpkins, figurines, giblins, witches and candy - and also a head start on Christmas. I'm not fond of blending the holidays or seasons because I like to enjoy each for what they offer, but marketing folks have a different plan. They hit you early so you buy more. Women's, juniors, men's and children's clothing load the front of the store. Handbags, accessories, health & beauty and suitcases to the left. Home decor, kitchen items and small furniture in the back. Make sure to check out the jewelry counter. They often have beautiful sterling pieces at affordable prices. Of course the checkout line is filled with impulse purchases. Greeting cards, coffee mugs, lotions, cocktail napkins, chips, cookies, chocolates, nuts, seasonal decor and more. Good luck! Keep focused, you can do it! When I saw that the SW 117 location had closed I was disappointed until I searched and found the new location. Definitely an upgrade and near lots of other good shops and restaurants.

Nice, clean, bright TJ Maxx. Since Oregon has no sales tax, I took advantage of that to do some shopping in their men's department. The signage of this store is clear. I focused on the men's department but I also walked around the other sections of the store and everything was neatly organized. Checkout was a breeze with a nice lady helping me out.

Upon walking into the store, the staff is incredibly friendly. The only thing a bit odd is that it smells like cigarette smoke throughout the store. I believe that is their signature incense but the first couple of times I visited, I assumed that there were people in the back room smoking. The layout of the store is easy to navigate and the minimalistic approach to their displays is a welcome change from your typical overwhelming shopping experience. Rather than display every size they have in every style they offer, they only display one size of each style. I appreciated that because it made for a much simpler shopping experience. Additionally, their sneaker selection is amazing. Every time I go in, there are a few new styles to look at. This is probably my favorite spot for finding some cool sneakers. We will continue to go back to the store for their unique styles, incredibly helpful staff, and amazing selection of footwear.

What is important in Portland is that Mr. Bruce, I mean Brent Collier has made a career of going to Italy and buying clothing direct, and the same with the NYLA garment districts. He brings it back to little, but creative Portland. Who else does that here? No one. And Collier has an excellent eye. He buys shirts, suits, jackets, sweaters, ties, belts scarves, and more, in small quantities. The quality is stellar, and the price earthbound. I found a great lightweight wool Italian suit at Collier with extra pants at a very, very reasonable price. Let's just say 1/4 to 1/3 the price of any place in the area. Same for some dress shirts which continue to draw compliments. Collier has a wider range of color than some of our stylish male clothing purveyors who hew to black, brown, gray and white. If you want unique suit fabrics at a reasonable price that would qualify you to be in The Sartorialist http://www.thesartorialist.com/, this is the only place in Portland. His former store was the Stockroom, and all the cool kids in town, now grownups, have been patrons for a while. If you need fashion advice or suggestions shopping, Collier can provide that too. Shopping for yourself, or anyone with a fashion sense, shopping for their boy, will be able to communicate their concept to Collier. And with the Wildfang phenomena, girls looking for the next level of boyfriend shirt look might look here. So anyone shopping for anyone looking for style, quality and unique is totally welcome. There might be spots like this in LA, SF or NY, but visitors to Portland shopping have the advantage of no sales tax. He changes the store up regularly, so it's worth checking in periodically. There is also a tailor right there for alterations. If you want style, quality, uniqueness and price in men's clothing; collar shirt, tie, jacket style, and even some sportswear, Collier is the best and most unique place in Portland.

It's pretty rare that I get a pass -- usually it's through my 107ist membership -- so I end up going maybe once a year, if that. On the plus side, there's plenty of parking and the store itself is clean and well organized. The clothing selection is definitely trendy... maybe too trendy. It feels geared more toward teenagers and young adults. I've visited a few times now and honestly haven't found any apparel that interests me. A lot of it comes off as flashy. I was hoping to see more outfits tied to big events like the Winter Olympics or the World Cup, but while they did have a few jackets and pants, they were pretty boring overall. The real draw here is the shoes. About half the store is dedicated to footwear, and there are some really nice options. Most shoes are around 40% off, with the non-discounted pairs clearly marked. Prices on display shoes usually range from about $145-$220, so you can do the math to decide if it's worth it. Even with discounts, many pairs still start around $80 and go up from there. Clothing, on the other hand, still felt overpriced even after the employee store markdowns. I've been here three times now and still haven't bought a single thing. In comparison, I've purchased multiple items at other brand employee stores. That said, if you're already planning to buy Nike shoes, this can definitely be a solid deal. One standout positive: the employees have always been very friendly and helpful.

Often when I am seeking an item and do a search for best price, Kohl's ranks up at the top. Even better than Amazon at times. Case in point, I wanted the NutriBullet 900 and Kohl's had the best price around so I purchased online, using coupons found online, and did an in store pick up to avoid the shipping cost. I'm recovering from a major surgery and couldn't find a friend to pick up the item. I called customer service and explained the situation, said I could drive myself there but it would be a struggle for me to get out of my car and walk inside to retrieve the item since I'm using a walker. Delora was wonderful! She told me to call the store when I arrived and someone would deliver the item to my car, not something they typically do as their pick ups are in store. I was so grateful! That's fantastic customer service. Thank you, Delora and Kohl's!

After looking at the return policy online again which states that returns are up to the individual store managers discretion I came back to speak with her again and ask why she would refuse a return now. She wasn't available, so I ended up talked to a gentleman who I've had good experiences with before. He just said that her word is final and he wishes he could help but he cant supersede her. They didn't have his size in the jacket he wanted so he needed to wait for a special order to the store. He picked it up a few weeks later and came back a second time for tailoring. He said he felt rushed, as the associates working complained about how busy they were, and hurried him through the process. This is his first suit, and he didn't understand how things should properly fit him. They didn't bother to help, just asking "does it fit?" and then moving on. His jacket didn't fit, actually, but he didn't know that, and they didn't look twice at him. He asked for the pants to be hemmed and the seat to be let out. Two weeks later, he picks up his suit. The pants rip immediately down the back, and it's apparent the jacket doesn't fit still. The pants weren't hemmed to the length he asked for either. Back we go to the store for him to explain. He turns over his jacket and pants after the tailor comes to look him and makes some recommendations. My fiancée is a bigger man, but was sold a slim fit suit. In asking to make the seat bigger, the tailor made a body shaming comment about his size and the cut of the suit. Today, we go to pick up the suit again. The jacket fits, but the pants have ripped again, and worse now, just from trying them on. We went back immediately but the tailor had finished early and left already. The associates said to come back in the morning and see if the tailor could squeeze us in. This is Thursday night, and we leave for our wedding Saturday morning. We're both disappointed in the poor treatment he received throughout the tailoring process, as well as the quality of the work done. If we can't get the pants fixed tomorrow he might be wearing an untailored pair off the rack. Hopefully this will be our last visit to the store this lifetime - will not ever be going back.
