This is a strange way to start a positive review, but I need to say - this is not my kind of thrift store. I like the sort of sprawling and overfilled place where you might have to dig through a lot of junk, but you may be rewarded with a piece of exceptionally inexpensive treasure. This place is actually what it states in the name - a secondhand boutique. Most items are fairly affordable, all are in good condition, and each one has been thoughtfully chosen for its style and quality. The items tend toward a more classic and conservative style. The people who work here seem quite friendly. This little boutique is nestled in acute little house in Beaverton. I was greeted by Tanya, who explained that it is a nonprofit and all proceeds go to the veterans. I'm fairly basic, classic kind of girl, and there was plenty of clothes here that fit that criteria. Lots of different rooms in the house including an upstairs that housed jeans, dresses, exercise wear and more. Everything is clean, pressed and in great shape. I will be back for sure. It's a cute little house full of curated donated goods. The volunteers were all very friendly and passionate about what they were doing, as everything was neatly arranged and organized. Also, things were reasonably priced, which is always a plus for thrift shopping. I read an article saying all the artificial fibers in our apparel are causing micro-plastic pollution on land and in the ocean. Thrifting is one of the alternatives to stop contributing to fast fashion and its pollution. Also, this boutique donates its proceeds to local veterans, which is a noble cause. Hands up, hands down - claps all around, one of the best places to shop for clothes. This is one of my happy places. Tanya, the store owner is such a sweetheart . She instantly becomes friends with everyone. She is so caring and has a positive energy that just radiates. I have 3 closets full of clothes so I rarely buy clothes anymore, but when I do I only consider a few places. This place is one of the best. Most of the proceeds goes to helping veterans and her store is constantly getting new donations that are fun and unique. If I had more time, I would be stopping by monthly, but I only stop by a few times a year either to donate clothes or browse her selection. She offers up lots of sales on different inventory color tags and I've gotten some nice pieces from her store. It's absolutely a hidden gem. 1st time here and from the beginning safety measures are taken place with hand santizing before you go in. Greeted by the owner and given an explanation- bathrooms (one downstairs and one upstairs) used as changing rooms and multiple ranges in sizes. Everything organized by category (active wear, dresses, jeans etc) and nicely presented with marked tags of clear prices and on wooden hangers or pant hooks. There is even a room dedicated to men's clothing too. The bathrooms were very clean. Clear signs on keeping social distance and masks throughout the boutique. On this visit there was a sale going on where blue tags were 25% off and beige tags were half off. I was looking for specific items in black and found what I was looking for, brand names that are in very good condition. Also, really like that through live videos of showing the items in, people can essentially reserve the items and upon pick up- try the items on and see if they want to buy or not. A great additional system to coming into the boutique. Excited to have found this boutique and able to give back, the owner checked in on me while browsing and was so great at explaining things and when checking out. Absolutely the best place to donate your lightly used clothes including coats, scarves and jewelry! They have a nice selection of exercise clothes for both men and women upstairs. This non profit supports Veterans and many other agencies. The community supports them because they are the nicest, most generous and helpful staff (some are volunteers). I am finishing my degree and needed professional attire for interviewing and job placement. My Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Lisa Broten, was kind enough to share one of her favorite 'go-to's' with me. The owner of the store was very kind and helpful. There are name-brand clothes (some with new tags, still) and gently used clothes, sizes from extra-small to extra-large- and everything in between. I didn't even make it to the second floor, as I had so much abundance in my size on the first floor. It warmed my heart to learn that this business is not only assisting me back to work from a disability, but generously supports our veterans. An overall 'feel-good' experience. The morning that I came into this store, I was feeling down and discouraged. I was almost certain that I was just wasting my time trying to find clothes in my larger size. As I walked into this thrift store, I was immediately welcomed into the store by Tanya, she asked if I had ever been in and I told her no. She then went on to explain the sales she was having that day and where I could find clothing in my size and which rooms housed which accessories and clothing so it was easier for me to locate the items I was needing. As I started to shop I witnessed as she welcomed return customers by name and always had a wonderful smile not only on her face but in her voice. She truly loves what she does and I remember feeling like her kindness wasnt forced, it was just so genuine. The doctor that I had was only for $25 which I appreciate it very much but I knew that I had more than $25 worth of clothing when I went up to the clothing counter to pay for my items but I had planned on paying the difference out of my pocket with what little money I had left. Tanya continued to fold up my items of clothing and put them all in the bag and when I asked her how much I owed she said don't worry about it I got it! I almost broke down in tears right there, but there's much more. These women asked if they could pray for me, and I said yes please. They gathered around me with their hands upon me, they asked the lord to help me through my situation, to heal my hurt and to guide me into my best life possible, as I broke down I prayed silently that these women grow in their ministry because these women were my angels on that particular day and I will never forget my amazing experience at their thrift store! I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone and tell others about this experience often. They are angels on Earth and the world needs more Angels like them around for those of us who are broken and bound being discouraged feeling not good enough...just trying to make it through life like everyone else. I stopped in today for my first thrift experience. I had been to goodwill before, but there is no comparison. The owner, Tanya, is sweet, beautiful, and very helpful. She made sure I knew about all the deals & ways GHM benefits our veterans. The store is located in an old house with a lot of character. My iPhone maps took me directly to their front door. The changing room is a very cute bathroom! I was very happy with the items I and tried on. Very cute and I saw most items priced at $8. The very "expensive" heavy coats with around $25-30. On top of that, many items were 40% off. I got a couple pairs of shorts and an assortment of tops all for about $50! I will definitely be back and encourage anyone interested in cute clothes and great deals to check this location out! They have clothes for all seasons, and also a room of men's wear. We came upon this boutique by chance, as we parked right in front of it when we visited the Beaverton Farmer's Market. It's now one of our favorite places to go... not only to shop for great deals on clothing for both men and women, but also to drop off clothing knowing that it benefits veterans in our area. PLEASE CHECK OUT THIS BOUTIQUE!! I was thrift shopping and looking for house decor but instead I stumbled upon this little nonprofit boutique. The founder and volunteer were so nice and friendly. The best customer service ever and I've worked in customer service for 8-9 years. I wasn't even looking for anything but I found the cutest shorts for $2 and the cutest jeans for $6! I really wasn't looking for clothes and didn't think they'd have anything for me, but you find the best things when you're not looking :) this is my favorite boutique and I can't believe I've lived in the area for a year and this was my first time entering. The store has moved! It is now at 4775 SW Maine Av in Beaverton. I have been to many thrift/resale shop in many parts of the country and this shop is one of the loveliest I have been to. One thing I have noticed about GHM Boutique is that it has quite a following. A strong group of regular shoppers. They buy and donate their clothes to GHM knowing that it supports our Veterans.
