Everything in this shop is all just a little too pretty and perfect. But the kindly sales gal put me right at ease, telling me to try on anything I please. And I was off to the races. I tried on all kinds of amazing things from fancy furs to demure looking dresses. But alas I did not meet my clothing match that day. It is difficult to monitor the transaction, because you don't see the total amounts they ring up. When I got home and looked over the receipt the amounts charged were more than the tags had indicated. Since they take the tags off at the register and keep them, I had no way of reckoning with them. The first time this happened I let it go, thinking it was a simple error, but it happened again. I will not continue to shop there now.

They carry Aloha Collection bags, which are water resistant and super packable-- with happy colors and designs. The clothing is modern and trendy, but not over the top fast fashion. They have a variety of women's clothing, shoes, accessories, and bags. The quality looks great on the pieces and it's easy to shop. There are a lot of staple items as well. The owner was at the shop when I stopped in and she is super nice, and she shared that they will update items seasonally. Right now, they have a good mix of warm and cold weather items such as sweaters, vests, and a variety of jackets. I picked up a very cute vest that is cotton/canvas on the outside and faux fur on the inside with a removable hood. Very reasonably priced! I had a friendly employee guide me to an open fitting room, but once I got to the register (with a different employee) she had hardly said a word to me. I don't think I did anything to warrant a no-talking experience over the counter. Maybe she thought I wasn't the right size to be shopping there, I don't know. She just seemed really talkative to the customer ahead of me in line and fell silent when it was my turn to be rung up. I left happy with my purchase but that interaction just made me feel defeated. I know how it feels when someone thinks you don't belong somewhere. I was surprised that I dealt with that here.

I popped in just as they were about to close and snagged a couple bibs and onesie for my little one and tiny lego dolls for the girls. I felt like they had a bigger selection of bigger kids items and less for little (baby) boys and girls, but also understand that the store does not have a terrible large amount of room. I also felt like the prices were a tad on the steeper side in comparison to other kids consignment I've visited in Portland for most items (not all). The lady owner(?) was very kind and gave us a recycled bag for our goods, so we truly appreciated that.
