Set the Wayback machine Mr Peabody! This place felt like an A&P circa 1950. Very retro. Which is to say that this store hasn't been updated since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Cheap stuff sold for cheap. I don't know that I'd go near the food items but I was there to buy a few plastic containers to organize things in my garage. I'm not going to live long enough to warrant paying for high quality, uber-expensive Rubbermaid containers and since the divorce I have had no access to Tupperware so..... The place is huge and was not crowded but I was surprised to see as many customers (or browsers) as I did. One checker. A lady who was at least my age who clearly wished she was any place but there. It must be a dismal place to work. Everything about the venue is drab. Not a complaint at all. It is what it is and Dollar Tree says it all..... although there isn't a lot on the shelves that only costs a buck anymore. The building is in a high rent area of Cedar Hills so I suspect Dollar Tree won't be at this location much longer. The lease on such a massive floor plan must be incredibly high. Plus, Amazon lives in the cheap stuff cheap space so they must be cutting into the sales here. I like this place. So sue me. One of the last of it's kind. read more

Can't believe I haven't written a review on this Dollar Tree yet, it's definitely my favorite one in the aportland area. It's huge! And always well stocked and pretty well organized unless you get there during a super crowded time. It's not the store's fault, it's the customers! They pick up items and put them back anywhere. Get mad at them! Not sure why people complain so much about a Dollar Tree. People, everything costs a dollar! You can not expect quality or Nordstrom's level of customer service. Repeat after me, it's a Dollar Tree Store!!! When I need wrapping paper, gift bags and party supplies, this is where i shop. It may only cost $1 but the designs and colors are great. Friends always comment on how beautiful the packages are. Also my go to for certain craft supplies like stickers for homemade greeting cards, certain candies for the holidays (Russel Stover dark chocolate Santa's or Easter eggs), parchment paper and Reynolds wrap, Friskies canned cat food, ziplock bags and some cleaning products. Yes, the lines are long. The bathroom isn't that clean which is why I don't use it. Sometimes the cashier talks too much; sometimes they are stone faced, like today. I don't care! Everything cost a dollar! Oh, and they have a huge parking lot out front and I don't have to walk over street people to get inside like I do at the store in NE. The slowest service of all Dollar tree stores. This older woman cashier scans each item, looks at it, reads the labels, just curious about each item I purchase. She was so slow that another worker had to open up the next line. Well the next line checked out at least 6-7 customers while she was on her first. Finally, it was my turn and older lady did the same to me. She looked through all my items, just curious to see what each was and reading the label, instructions, etc! I only had 6 items and it took her 20 mins to check me out!! Word of advice, anyone shopping here should go to a different line, even if you think it would be a longer line.... Because you'll get out way faster than standing in the older woman's line. read more

It's a dollar tree, not sure what you are expecting. Really cheap badly made, sometimes questionable quality (imported toys for kid and animal from China not sure passed all screening) stuff. It's quite a large store. Pretty well kept up and not messy. I ran in for 2 paper bags to put girl scout cookies I bought someone in. So in and out. It's good for office party decorating stuff, gift bags, empty Easter eggs and get candy else where to fill. Then again I could be snooty. Also simple things like coloring books and simple throw away kid crafts etc. Only had 1 cashier on though and not only was she slow at checkout but had to comment on every single item in the basket. Ohh this is cute, uww cute candle what does it smell like, does it smell good. I thought I was going to kill over. I'm like I just want 2 bloody paper bags for $2 please for the love of everything let me the fuck out!! Not that I said anything. But another lady seeing 5 people in line and this lady still examining and talking about every single item grabbed me and took me to another line. Guess maybe my face might have looked like I was going to have a coronary cause she didn't help anyone else. I did thank her, give her my $$ left and the lady was still with the same customer going over the basket. Like there was only maybe 20 things in there really?!?!!?! This is probably the best Dollar Tree. The selection here is so much better than the Greenway Town Center one. The service is also better. But still, don't expect too much from Dollar and a Quarter Tree, because the quality of the items is definitely not that great. read more

"All Dollar Tree stores are the same." Said me. But I've only come to this store a handful of times. This particular visit, our cashier Jeff really stood out. He was very friendly and very easy going. I was buying candy for my daughter's birthday party and we had a lot of the same items. About 1/2 way through our check out, two women came over and started BOTH telling Jeff how to ring up our items. The younger girl with the glasses was straight up rude to him, and the older woman was just telling him her opinion as well. I thought it was incredibly rude how they were correcting him and ordering him around in front of customers. They should have been more concerned with the line of customers waiting than with their own opinion or method of ringing up a customer being the most important thing. I thought to myself, he must be in a house full of women that he had 0 reaction to them. He was patient, kind and doing his job well. That all being said: this store has a GREAT selection of items. I swear it's double the size of my usual store. I love how I can always get what I need. They also have THE BEST seasonal items. Dollar Tree saves me LOTS of money! read more

Huge store, I assume the largest one around. This is close to where I go to church so it's becoming my go-to Dollar Tree. M-F open 8 am - 10 pm, Sun 9-9, great early and late hours with its own parking lot...minus star for having a trashy section right in front of store. It's Sunday just before 9 am and there's a line of 5 others...first time coming this early and I'm not sure why the excitement but 3 older dudes waiting right by store anticipating the special deal of $1.00 for everything! read more

The store itself is fine, but I wanted to write about my recent customer service experience on 5/28/21. There is an older gentleman with a pony tail who was not very friendly. First of all, he was still checking out the person in front of me and asked me if I wanted a bag. I was purchasing several small items and said "it would make things easier for me if I had a bag." He then said, "You didn't answer my question, do you want a bag?" I told him , "yes, I need one." He then looked at my items and made a snide comment about the number of items I was purchasing. While he was ringing up the items he would count them, and then would say, "6, if you agree," "8, if you agree." When he was done he made another snide comment about what I purchased, and what he thought I would be doing with those items. I'm sorry, I thought this was a store, that probably wants customers, who are going to spend money. I don't think this particular employee really likes his job, or wants to help customers! read more

I love, love, love this particular Dollar Tree. This store is the nicest store I have seen in a long time. Wonderful friendly and professional staff, especially Ivy and Jennifer. Clean and very well stocked, I can find all the products I was looking for, and for a super good price as always. There's something comforting about a rule that says each thing is a buck. Not 99 cents, not 1.25... just: 1. The problem is that having a store built around a price seems a little counter-intuitive. It's a nice gimmick to get you in the door, but the good times fade once you're inside. I found myself unable to escape the feeling of being at an arcade with a hand full of tickets, trying to decide which piece of junk to spend all my tickets on. The reality is that the tickets are worth WAY more (based on what it took to get them) than the items behind the counter, but it feels like you're not even spending real money...it's a psychological trick. If everything costs a dollar, the store makes money by selling you things that are, on average, worth less than a dollar. They either make money by selling a high volume with small profit, or a small volume with high profit. I'm not an economist, but my observation that the store is quite unpopular leads me to believe that the items inside are in fact marked UP a lot. Having said all that, this is probably the place I'd take my daughter if she has 2 dollars and wants something...(ANYTHING!) new. I'd say "OK, let's go to the dollar store. You can pick two things!" But that's the extent of my use for such a place. In most cases, I'd rather go somewhere that prices something worth 45 cents at 75 cents than a dollar. read more

This isn't really a place that requires a yelp review...nobody is going to wonder whether or not they should go to Dollar Tree and consult the internet first, but I had to say somewhere publicly that this Dollar Tree has wedding supplies...and a lot of it. It has everything you might need like say, invitations. Those made me especially sad. This would be cool if you wanted to throw a fake wedding, but otherwise it's been haunting me ever since. Are people really sending out those invitations? OMGod what if I received one in the mail, I'd have to talk about it. read more

One of the cleanest and most organized Dollar Tree I have been to. They have a large selection of items and this store is stocked well. The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't even wait in line two minutes and they opened another cash register. I certainly will be returning for all of my party supply needs and other misc. household items. read more
