Somewhere between a Dollar Tree and a Daiso, you'll find Five Below: a budget-friendly big box that sells a variety of gifts, apparel and home goods of reasonable quality for the price. You're not going to find any name brands on the shelves, and its highly likely that a majority of the products for sale here come with "Made in China" on the tag, but there are still some good deals to be found here, particularly things like T-shirts and other clothing. When it comes to prices, though, don't expect much to live up to the name of the store; in truth, this place should probably be called "Five Above". Still, even the "pricier" items tend to be a pretty good deal, when compared to similar products elsewhere. In a way, Five Below feels a little bit like shopping a Prime Day sale, but in a physical retail space: lots of things you didn't know you wanted or needed, of Ikea-level quality/longevity, and at suspiciously low prices.

Friendly staff | Good product variety We dropped by here a few days before their grand opening this coming Friday. This is definitely an excellent place to shop for birthday gifts, seasonal decor, stocking stuffers, and toy drives. Today, we wanted to shop for toy donations for our town, and this place hits a lot of departments and age ranges. Electronics, season decorating, toys, makeup/skincare/hair, art and design, clothing, snacks... there is a little bit of everything. Most things are $5, but there are some items below and some labeled higher than $5, like a giant nutcracker is $35. Honestly, some things were worth the $5/$6. They have items, like Harry Potter, Disney, SpongeBob, Gabbys Dollhouse, and Sanrio, that you would find at a Daiso and Miniso. The quality is a step up from your average dollar store though. I was surprised to find a wide variety of skincare items: ice globes, masks, serums, beauty tools, vanity sets... I also saw lots of snacks like Pockey Sticks, energy drinks, popcorn and chips, and some candy I would find at an Asian grocery store. The staff were friendly and greeted us more than once. They're very busy and still setting things out on shelves. Lots of people shopping already! This is definitely your shop if you are shopping on a budget and want cute things.

A nice store with helpful employees, store name is misleading as most items are priced either at $5 or above.

I've been shopping at the Nordstrom in Washington Square for more than 30 years, almost always in…read morethe Point of View section. I drive in from Camas, WA, and my experiences have consistently reflected the level of service and care associated with the Nordstrom name. Unfortunately, today was very different. Every April, I treat myself to a birthday shopping trip and genuinely look forward to it. In the past, I've always been greeted promptly, assisted with sizes, and made to feel welcome. This time, no associate approached me--or any of the other middle‑aged women browsing nearby. Two employees stood at the register engaged in conversation, not helping anyone. I eventually interrupted to request a fitting room, but no one ever checked on me afterward. The lack of attention was surprising and disappointing, completely unlike any experience I've had there before. I left feeling invisible and disheartened, and I'm not sure I'll return. If this is the new norm, I'll need to find another way to celebrate my birthday going forward.

My opinion of the sales merchandise offering was underwhelming with sale things hard to even find and a selection looking like scraps. My star rating on that is a 2. So I'm in the men's dept. Obviously looking and searching right in front of two sales associates who were yapping amongst themselves and didn't even give me a look. Then I'm approached from the side by an associate named Grant who could tell I was searching for something and offered his assistance. He showed me to the bleak sales rack and I tried on a couple of things. He was the epitome of a full service sales associate getting the right size etc. I ended up just looking with him in the full price section and after a short discussion he understood exactly what I was looking for. He brought me shoes to try and a new belt. Stayed with me right through the entire transaction, alterations and so forth. Grant was what Nordstrom has been known for in terms of service and he gets 5 stars!

Nothing too special about this location. No one really checked in on us and service was just "meh"…read more It was fine because I knew what I wanted and was able to just select it and pay. Staff seemed to be more concerned about interacting with other staff than with customers.

I love Lululemon. The brand is pricey but, let's be honest, you get what you pay for. The quality…read moreand selection of clothing and accessories are without parallel. I have a few Lululemon items, but my eldest daughter (26 yrs old) and my mother (88 yrs old!) have wardrobes with a TON of Lululemon clothes. And everything lasts forever. Seriously. I have a fanny-belt bag (as does my kid and my mom) and it's nearly a decade old and as good as new (and still looks great, too). No broken zippers or torn seams or broken buckles. Still fashionable, like the leggings I got eons ago. Their fashions and the quality definitely do withstand the tests of time. I've not tried on their new running shoes as I am loyal to my Hoka brand shoes, but this store has a prominent display of Lululemon athletic sneakers and, if they're anything like the rest of their product line, I'm certain they're of high quality, and they will make sure they fit you properly. The only reason why I'm not giving this store 5 stars is because no-one greeted us or spoke one word to us while we were in the store, despite it not being too busy there when we visited. (Note: this is atypical of Lululemon stores in general. Usually they warmly greet visitors and ask if they can help find anything). My kid and I weren't in the market for anything in particular, but we browsed around a bit. As usual, they had a few items on sale, but few things were in the sizes we'd need. Still, it's fun to look, and you ever know what you'll find on the sale rack.

Great for Shoes, Not Much Else…read more First off, this employee store is much harder to get into than the Columbia or Adidas employee stores. It's pretty rare that I get a pass -- usually it's through my 107ist membership -- so I end up going maybe once a year, if that. On the plus side, there's plenty of parking and the store itself is clean and well organized. The clothing selection is definitely trendy... maybe too trendy. It feels geared more toward teenagers and young adults. I've visited a few times now and honestly haven't found any apparel that interests me. A lot of it comes off as flashy. I was hoping to see more outfits tied to big events like the Winter Olympics or the World Cup, but while they did have a few jackets and pants, they were pretty boring overall. The real draw here is the shoes. About half the store is dedicated to footwear, and there are some really nice options. Most shoes are around 40% off, with the non-discounted pairs clearly marked. Prices on display shoes usually range from about $145-$220, so you can do the math to decide if it's worth it. Even with discounts, many pairs still start around $80 and go up from there. Clothing, on the other hand, still felt overpriced even after the employee store markdowns. I've been here three times now and still haven't bought a single thing. In comparison, I've purchased multiple items at other brand employee stores. That said, if you're already planning to buy Nike shoes, this can definitely be a solid deal. One standout positive: the employees have always been very friendly and helpful.
