Faux fur rugs & throws are still in vogue and Ross is well stocked. I use a long white one as a runner in front of my bathroom vanity.

Another day, another Ross! Sometimes I walk in and everything speaks to me; other days, nada. And sometimes I find just one item, but it's killer. That's what happened today. After making my rounds in the dress and jumpsuit section and not seeing anything at all that I wanted to try on, a rarity, I checked out the kitchen items, housewares, lamps, small furniture. Nothing I hadn't seen before. About to call it a day, I decided to browse through the athletic wear section before heading out the door. There it was! A camo print long sleeve fitted pullover by Under Armour, the same one I saw the other day at a different Ross but they didn't have my size. Today there was just one and it was my size. Even better, it was marked down from $29 to $19. Score! This is exactly why me and others like me regularly stop at Ross, Marshall's, HomeGoods, TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack. There are always gems amongst the racks of goods just waiting to be discovered. Ross at Cascade Station usually has a lot of inventory and is larger and cleaner than other Ross locations. It's on my regular rounds.

Really did not have a great experience here. I've been to several Ross stores and while they are the most stress free shopping this was by far the worst. I was there to look for some dresses and there was 3 shelves blocking my dress size. No worker was around so I had to work to move them myself (pictures taken after I moved them). There was random shelving items all throughout the store in the aisles. After I found some dresses I went to the dressing rooms but they were closed. There were some make shift ones in the front and it was a huge mess with so many clothes in there. When I walked out of the dressing room the next person was mad I didn't clean up after myself ( I did, but I certainly didn't bring in all 50 articles of clothing so I left it the way I found it). Then the check out line was chaotic. Not clear where it started. And people were going ever which way. Overall, not great.

I found a sweatshirt with a kitten wearing black shades & "Let's Get Cray" printed on the front for $12.99. Did I need to spend $12.99 for a sweatshirt with a kitten wearing black shades & "Let's Get Cray" printed on the front? Umm, yeah, it's a cute ass kitten wearing black shades. RDFL is totally a-ok in my book.

    THIS POPCORN IS AWESOME! ...apparently...

I most recently went in this location to hunt down a dress for the red dress party. I came out with an amazing mat for my cat's box, awesome new sunglasses, sandals and three dresses...not one of which was red. Ross is like that - some days you find everything that fits perfect, looks cute and is your dream. Other days you might strike out but give it a go before you spend twice the coin other places. We even met and bonded with some sweet ladies in the dressing room. There are several things I love looking for here. I always check out sunglasses and usually find the perfect pair for $10 which is perfect since you and I both know you are just going to break the damned things in a few months anyway. I also always look through shoes because I even once found one pair of perfection Calvin Klein heels in my size - the only pair for $25! I have bought sandals, sneakers, boots...you name it. Also, beauty stuff like shampoo, conditioner, face wash, soap...house hold cleaners, candles. Why not buy them all here where you are getting high quality for a fraction of the price you get them at regular retail spots. I have always lucked out with nice people working the registers too.

Being a Ross Dress For Less "addict", I regularly make the rounds at all the Ross stores in the Portland area looking for bargains. It's worthwhile to go to the different locations since each one has different merchandise on hand to look at. Because shoppers are constantly rummaging through the merchandise, some of the stores understandably get a bit messy at times with stuff strewn all over. And, a few of them seem to be perpetually messy. Today, I went to the Ross store on Cascade Avenue near Washington Square and was AMAZED at how orderly most of their merchandise was. Even the towels (which are usually a mess) were all neatly folded, stacked, and arranged by color. The racks of candy (meant to tempt people in line) near the checkout counters were neatly arranged too. This may be the tidiest Ross store I've ever been to. I'm impressed.

I always seem to find something very reasonable and beautiful, and when I'm looking for something very pacific, they always seem to have it

The interior is ugly and sad. Ross needs to update their designs or just stop being a business

In line with 10 other people. One clerk is checking. Two others are talking. Good thing the deals are so good. Worst customer service ever.

They took forever to come back to us and when they did return, they only gave us one shoe. When I asked if my son could please try on the other shoe, they told me no. They said they had to grab the box and that he could try only 1 on at a time. When I asked how they expected us to know if the shoes fit appropriately with one shoe, they didn't really have an answer. Again, we asked if he could please try on both the shoes so he could walk around and make sure they were a good fit. They refused, saying it was a store policy because someone stole shoes they were trying on once. I had $300 worth of merchandise I wanted to purchase from this store as well as said shoes. They sales people walked around, stalking us as if we were going to steal the whole time. Not a great shopping experience. They also had barely any sizes. I won't shop here again. I'd be curious to know who put this policy in place... maybe they need a security guard instead of making all customers feel like crooks.

Great for Shoes, Not Much Else…read more First off, this employee store is much harder to get into than the Columbia or Adidas employee stores. It's pretty rare that I get a pass -- usually it's through my 107ist membership -- so I end up going maybe once a year, if that. On the plus side, there's plenty of parking and the store itself is clean and well organized. The clothing selection is definitely trendy... maybe too trendy. It feels geared more toward teenagers and young adults. I've visited a few times now and honestly haven't found any apparel that interests me. A lot of it comes off as flashy. I was hoping to see more outfits tied to big events like the Winter Olympics or the World Cup, but while they did have a few jackets and pants, they were pretty boring overall. The real draw here is the shoes. About half the store is dedicated to footwear, and there are some really nice options. Most shoes are around 40% off, with the non-discounted pairs clearly marked. Prices on display shoes usually range from about $145-$220, so you can do the math to decide if it's worth it. Even with discounts, many pairs still start around $80 and go up from there. Clothing, on the other hand, still felt overpriced even after the employee store markdowns. I've been here three times now and still haven't bought a single thing. In comparison, I've purchased multiple items at other brand employee stores. That said, if you're already planning to buy Nike shoes, this can definitely be a solid deal. One standout positive: the employees have always been very friendly and helpful.
