You will not miss this place, there is a huge business sign and parking is available on both sides of the lot. I don't know where to begin looking, the store is clutter but it is a good clutter. There are tons and tons of stuff. Its like a one stop shop, Things you need in Chinatown and the flea market combined together. I am pretty sure you will find something you don't need but actually need here. Just like my experience here. I had fun looking around, Lets see this shop is HUGE! There are sandals, shoes, clothing for mens, womens, children, tshirts, hats, make up, hair accessories, phone accessories, even blankets. If you can't find what you are looking for, ask the owner, she is super friendly. I recall her name is Long. I had fun talking to her and she helped me find what I was looking for. As I mentioned I found 2 items that I didn't need but needed. I saw 2 hats , I didn't think I needed it but bought it for my mom and good friend. ( they both love hats!) I came to shop not looking for hats and not needing it but then I am so glad I bought them because my mom and good friend loved the hats. I also bought those funny saying shirts to give away as souvenirs. They are pretty funny! I was able to use my 20 percent Yelp check in and I am so happy to discover a new place in Portland. I noticed the blankets are cheap, they are the really soft blankets which comes in different color, prints, and even comes with a bag. I remember those blankets, during my childhood days my mom used to buy that blanket for us and I remember they cost more than what Portland Closeout sells them for. I am going to buy a blanket next time I visit. After paying for my items, Long mentioned that her husband is at the store across. Note: Portland Closeout is in 2 separate shop. The store is in front where Long's husband manage has all household items for your kitchen, home and garden which includes furniture, plants, even paintings. This store does look clutter as well, but its a good clutter!! I noticed children's bicycles out in front. This store has EVERYTHING!! It's filled with all the normal departments - women's, men's and children's clothing; home decor; beauty supplies; handbags; gift bags, wrapping and stationary; bedding and bath; small furniture; pet supplies; cleaning products; kitchen and pantry items; home decor; and seasonal. A little bit of everything! Appears that they are still stocking up because while I was there, workers were busy unloading items onto shelves, rearranging sections, and putting clothing out. My only negative comment is the lack of room between the clothing aisles. The small shopping cart could barely fit through the narrow space; it literally was hitting all the clothes on both sides as I walked through the aisles. Since it's almost fall, I couldn't resist purchasing a cream & tan plaid, duster cardigan for $34.99. I tried to do a catch and release, but was unsuccessfull! Especially after I found a pair of chocolate brown, loose pants, the color of the season, and on clearance for just $11. Together, it's a great fall outfit for $46. In the juniors department, I found a pair of high waisted, loose denim jeans with the shredded rips in all the right places. Not typically my style, at my age, but the price was great and they looked really good with a fall sweater. Tip for women - don't be afraid to browse in the Juniors department; often they have on-trend pieces for lower prices than the Women's area. There is plenty of parking right out front, including two handicapped spots. Next door is Ross, but I feel Marshall's has better quality clothes, and overall, a much better shopping experience.

Something at every price point and for every one! The day I went was National Mail Day and they had a super cool station setup downstairs to make free mail and lick and stick stamps! Unlike some of the gaudier bags in this style, this particular bag was subtle, with just two lemons on a sand colored, beaded background. it's sophisticated and perfect for an upcoming trip to Italy in the fall, but no way I could wait until them I ripped the tags off in the parking lot and used it that night! My friends, the waitress, and another person at the restaurant complimented it! The bag is unique, stylish, and quite the "find" for $49. The clothing racks were full of many newer spring styles And I spent a lot of time in the dressing room trying on various outfits. So many of them worked, but I had to do a catch and release on a few because I have been buying a lot of clothes lately. I bought a beautiful white boho cropped spring sweater and a pair of wide legged pants, in a fun, beachy print, to go with. Found a two piece set in a light caramel color, perfect to wear in several seasons. The pants are fitted up top, but looser in the legs and paired perfectly with the crocheted knit top in the identical color. This outfit and the purse with lemons are definitely coming on my trip! Also bought a pretty pink athletic jacket and wore it immediately on my walk the next evening. The woman who was managing the dressing room was friendly and super helpful when I needed other sizes. My only complaint was they had a selection of maxi dresses hung on a low rack so all the bottoms were filthy. I'm not buying anything that is dirty and I'm unsure if it will wash clean. I ended up getting a rub for my joints that ache after playing pickleball for two hours. It smelled nice and worked. The two people we dealt with were patient with us and helped navigate how to do things, as there's a code that you scan before filling up the bottles. The bottles are also reused. People bring back old bottles, so waste is minimum. The bottle gets weighted as it's filling up. Everything was easy.

There used to be several Muji locations in California, but they all closed due to the downturn in business from COVID and expensive leases. I visited this Muji store 4 times in as many days, wandering through to admire all the beautifully made and practical household goods and also trying to figure out what I could fit in my carry-on suitcase for my return trip. This store is huge, but nicely laid out. The sections are clearly marked from travel goods to clothing to personal care to household items to furniture to stationary. And there are plenty of staff milling about, restocking and folding, who can help you if you are looking for a particular item. The store wasn't very busy on weekday afternoons and evenings, but I noticed that it got a lot of foot traffic on Saturday. And on the hot weekend that I was in Portland, it was also very nice to step inside the air conditioned environs for a rest. They were also handing out samples of some of the snacks! Customer service at Muji was friendly and adequate. The staff working in the fitting room area were especially helpful. It would've been great to have more fitting rooms available, as the line moved slowly and took up a good chunk of time. You are also limited to bringing in 5 items at a time but you can swap out items as needed. I ended up purchasing multiple tops and a few pants for everyday wear. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to browse the homewares section but was pretty satisfied with my clothing purchases and shopping experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
