This place was recommended by several friends when we were planning our trip to Portland. I'm so glad we were able to fit it into our itinerary. The place is so cute. Beautifully arranged. We were able to find unique items for local artists as well as things from other creatives. If you're looking for a gift you can find it here. There is plenty of street parking.

Street parking is available but limited. This was a super cool store to explore. They have all kinds of trinkets. But I didn't love the prices. Some items seem reasonable, but the majority of items I found interesting were just overpriced in my opinion. Still an awesome place to check out if you're in the area.

It's always so much fun to shop at Cargo, but holiday shopping here is the best! It's a unique experience and never disappoints!! Great selections, fun and interesting items. Great service and affordable gift options.

Cute variety gift shop with a mix of price ranges. Love that there's something for everyone and there's all these nooks and crannies to explore. Some items can be a bit pricey (particularly clothing and bags), though there a bunch of smaller more affordable items like soaps, cards and cups. It feels like a mix between an art gallery and merchandise bought from a variety of sources (some are definitely not local). Only had 30 min so didn't finish looking at everything

Cargo started in 1996, but moved to this location in 2014. It is a historic warehouse with old growth beams/flooring and a really cool old elevator. Their first floor is the "Emporium "which means they have other vendors, including clothing, jewelry, ceramics, cards, plants, fabrics/textiles, home decor, and more. In the basement seems to be their import furniture. This was my favorite section, as they had some really cool larger pieces. They import items from Guatemala, Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan, India, Mali, "and beyond." It's a fun place to shop! Whether you buy something big or small, or not at all, it's worth visiting for the vibes as well.

I have such a crush on this store! From the moment you approach the store from the outside you are greeted by the whimsical and artistic stairs, and once the gigantic doors swing open it's like being transported into a gift boutique wonderland! There are multiple vendors inside, but each area blends into the next in a beautiful way... there are great deals on vintage items, brand new treasures... so much of it showcasing local artists... there's an incredible press with cards and products... honestly it's a one stop shop with everything you could possibly need or want! TWO FLOORS of magic! I love it here!

Tons of cute and eclectic things to browse and look through in this shop. Great if you're looking for gifts or just wanting something for yourself. There are a huge variety of things, from stationery, art supplies to home goods, vinyl albums, books, clothing, bags, and more. I ended up buying pencils made from small tree branches and a Cinnamoroll Baggu reusable bag.

The service is kinda and non pushy. The products are so terrific for one place to carry. I have to come all the way from Seattle to enjoy it!

If you are on the hunt for some unique white elephant gifts that stand out at your holiday parties this year this is the place to shop! They have great, creative items for a variety of budgets and interests. This store is packed with goodies so don't be surprised if you end up browsing for hours! Staff are friendly and fast to check you out once you have everything you need (and more!)

Cargo's price vs the price on Chinese wholesale site Alibaba. The whole jacket was made of cheap synthetic fabric

Cargo has been my go-to for gifts for many years. The selection of imports, though often priced pretty high compared to what the artisans were likely paid, has always been good. That being said, the last few times I've been in I have seen obvious sweatshop merchandise that is readily available on Alibaba being marked up at a ridiculous level. Selling plastic charms/beads for $3 a piece that you can get in bulk for 5 cents was morally iffy for me, but the selection was still good, so I kept it moving and continued to shop there. However, yesterday I went in and immediately noticed that they were selling a blatant knockoff of the iconic Tokidoki x Lesportsac collection from 2006. Again, I guess maybe there's nothing super wrong about that, but I noticed that they sharpied over the "made in China" on the tags of all of them... That feels pretty dishonest even if I ignore the fact that the item is a poorly produced knockoff of an artist collaboration. When I saw a bunch of jackets made of really low-quality material with a tag that looked exactly like the ones you find on low-cost overseas fast fashion websites, I did a quick google search and immediately saw that the jackets cost $17.50 on Alibaba and are being sold at Cargo for $138... I get that you have to make money, but portraying yourself as a business that sells curated imports and supports artisans is kind of wild if you're also going to price gouge on mass-produced polyester fast fashion from China. If you have a lot of money to spend and few hangups about ethical sourcing, this shop still has a good selection, but I will no longer be recommending this store to friends.

How neato is this place?! If your looking for unique gifts or decor def come give this place a whirl. I stopped in to help celebrate a new addition to the store called "Mercado Lula" who stocks Mexican goods by Mexican makers for home and kitchen. They got glassware, ingredients, cook books, etc. Check them out next time ya round. There's street parking and parking lots nearby avail. Front entrance of store is so colorful and fun...you really wanna see what else is inside. They have curated sections of plants, clothes, piñata kits, cards galore, home decor and furniture located downstairs. Just grab a basket up front and get your shop on. Bonus: there's a Photo Booth!

Look how much fun my shopping companion is having!

This is a great place to shop for so many things. It is a hodge-podge of artisan goods, imports, vintage pieces and much more. It's the kind of place where you should go browse with no preconceptions and just go with your impulses! The prices are good and the interesting asian items in the lower level are fun to look through. Not all are authentic antiques though so pay attention to the feel of the patina-chunky means newly made-velvety means genuine vintage! We went home with some beautiful 'corny' napkins, a variety of Japanese paper products, a beautiful peace dove incense holder, some rainbow pencils and more. I still regret not buying the marigold garlands for Day of the Dead! We will visit again especially for the fun ride in the entry way!

It was my first time here and I loved it! Selena was the best part about my visit, such a beauty and made my experience amazing! I will definitely be back! Lots of cute stuff! One stop shop for a gift and wrapping!

This place has both new and used items. We buy stuff every time we go. Some things are unaffordable for us and some are more reasonably priced. We found beautiful wood shelves that are stunning and bought them. They were exactly what we were looking for. We got a cool industrial console table abd other fool finds. I have bought a few nicknacks that I like and new art when they had a sale. Street parking is easy to find plus they have a parking lot. There are bathrooms. I would say the one thing I dislike is everything is a final sale. I mean absolutely everything. So I have not bought certain things in case they could not work where we want to put them or we were might want to use. Also for gifts since they are not returnable and want to give my gift receiver's that option. Some staff are more helpful than others. So it depends on who is working. This a good place to go if you are cool with final sales. Theycdo have grsat stuff.

I will say the store layout was a bit interesting, with some areas that felt more cramped. It was fairly crowded when we went, so I did have to squeeze by people to make my way through the store. I spent some time browsing the clothing section and found several items that caught my eye. The clearance section was a bit disorganized and the sizes were not labeled clearly unfortunately. Customer service at Muji was friendly and adequate. The staff working in the fitting room area were especially helpful. It would've been great to have more fitting rooms available, as the line moved slowly and took up a good chunk of time. You are also limited to bringing in 5 items at a time but you can swap out items as needed. I ended up purchasing multiple tops and a few pants for everyday wear. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to browse the homewares section but was pretty satisfied with my clothing purchases and shopping experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

They have an array of different colors - my choice was a gorgeous burgundy and I loved being able to buy just one.
