The quality of the product exceeded expectations and we look forward to many years of use and relaxation. We have been living in Portland for five years and wish we had found City Liquidators sooner. We have a small craftsman cottage with limited space and David really helped us pick the right furniture for our space. If you live in a larger house the choices are endless. Not just furniture but antique bars, neon lights, classic oversized film and music posters and artwork. You can get a lifesize Harley Quinn or John Wayne wooden statue, credenza's or wardrobes along with any kitchen supplies and small appliances you might need. New and vintage choices abound. When you go plan accordingly as there are multiple floors of merchandise to choose from and free lollipops for the kids to keep them busy. Even if you don't buy anything, the first trip you'll be blown away by the selection and you'll definitely come back to get something unique the next time. That's what we did. I do wish the cashier/check out area was more well defined. People did not know where to go to get in line in the order the staff were doing it. So mabye some signs. They usually have a large selection of couches also in shades of teal, orange, avocado just like on The Brady Bunch. Even plaid, if that's your thing. OMG, I wish I had the space for it! What I always have room for is unique bar ware and glasses and they have lots to choose from. They have a large selection of table lamps but it's the hanging pendants that I really love. Perusing this store ignites so many memories! I see items that take me back to my childhood home, pieces I haven't thought about in years. My face lights up remembering a curved side table, a Sputnik light and metal flower wall art similar to what adorned our den. Or a set of whiskey sour glasses like the ones my dad drank from, prints on pillows that are in photographs in my family album. Honestly, over the past couple of weeks I've been to most places selling original mid-century furniture in above average condition in Portland area and Sunny has the most reasonable prices. I was not expecting that! Prices for more typical household furniture seemed high to me, even in the clearance section. But I could tell there were some steals for smaller decor items. That could be pottery, clothing, art, furniture, tchotchkes, plants, or something else. Some get really creative with their booths, adding hanging decor or a fun layout. I had some sticker shock over pricing, but I'm sure there are deals to be found also. If I were looking for a special item I would certainly return here to search. We got a cool industrial console table abd other fool finds. I have bought a few nicknacks that I like and new art when they had a sale. Street parking is easy to find plus they have a parking lot. There are bathrooms. I would say the one thing I dislike is everything is a final sale. I mean absolutely everything. So I have not bought certain things in case they could not work where we want to put them or we were might want to use. Also for gifts since they are not returnable and want to give my gift receiver's that option. Some staff are more helpful than others. So it depends on who is working. He was so patient with us, explaining his process and showing us some of his work. He sifted through pieces of Oregon black walnut with us right then to help us find the perfect slabs. There was no pressure from him to make a decision but we knew immediately we wanted him to craft our perfect dining room table, which he absolutely delivered on.
