Porch Light's got a lot of locally-made, hand-crafted, and cute goods! They've got everything displayed around the store - soap, paper, plants, pots, candles, journals, jewelry, accessories, bath and body products, and more. I had to do a couple circuits of the room just to see what's what. Their website has a shopping section as well so you can browse online before going in - or buy online! Sometimes it was hard to see price tags but the cashier knew their products well. Many things were pricey but it's nice to support a local shop and local maker when possible. They've got gift cards - which would be a great gift for someone when you just know they would vibe with this store but you're not sure exactly what to get them!

Cute little gem on the west side! The service was friendly and the ambience was calming. Found more than I needed and had such a lovely experience! Prices are reasonable and the things they have are so cute and beautifully made. Purchased 5 plants and had 2 of them potted! The woman who works there did an amazing job potting the plants!! I'll be coming back again! Thank you, Porch Light!

Garden Fever - 8/18/2026 - We had such a lovely afternoon wandering through this well curated shop. I could not resist one of these snails only $4.50!

I was super inspired but so many plants they have. That native plants section is amazing!! We did a slow wander and came inside to continue to want to purchase everything! A favorite shop to me has a bit of everything. I want to be a person whose home is full of plants but I have four cats.... I would genuinely be bringing them home to murder house. One entire table is dedicated to the wonderful work of Ida Galash - she paints rocks and makes floating coy and frogs - I have them in my pond sense I can't afford to buy sushi (aka real live coy) for the local raccoons - they have cracked a few open just to make sure that they are not real. I wanted almost everything in that room! Somehow I managed to resist - but I got 2 of Ida's frogs, 4 bee magnets, a lovely white porcelain snail and a perching crow , who will look stunning when I place her on my house! My friend was sweet enough to buy me a outdoor stone frog. I encountered several employees who were so sweet - I even shared some bug stories with one! This shop is a great example of a place that makes you enjoy shopping. And yes, some of the things are very expensive, but, there are plenty of things that are very reasonably priced also. It is curated very well, I saw so many things I have never seen at other places. Clearly , somebody took the time when buying things for the shop - details matter. I also appreciate a lot of local offerings down to dried flower boutonnieres. If anyone needs this for a dance, a wedding... wear one to brunch!

Something at every price point and for every one! The day I went was National Mail Day and they had a super cool station setup downstairs to make free mail and lick and stick stamps! Everyone who worked there was super friendly and helpful, and I will be returning every time I'm back in Portland to see what's new!

I do wish the cashier/check out area was more well defined. People did not know where to go to get in line in the order the staff were doing it. So mabye some signs. Also people standing in the way of the cash out area since it is not well defined.
