Small, intimate jewelry store with a good selection of diamonds and various other shiny bits and baubles. Brilliant Earth accepts appointments which will enable the sales-team to spend more time with you. We were walk in's and were treated with kindness and respect. Eric was our guide and was not only friendly but honest and most knowledgeable. As this was a replacement piece for my original wedding ring, I went completely sideways with cut and clarity. I didn't want a reminder of what I had lost. We made our selection, it was ordered and we picked it up within a matter weeks. Brilliant Earth offers comparable pricing and quality products - we definitely recommend them. **Hallelujah, original ring was recovered 4 months later! read more

Had a great experience at Brilliant Earth. Eric was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me. At no point did I feel pressured to buy anything or make a decision. He worked with my partner and I to find something in our budget and made the experience so relaxing and fun! They have a great selection and so many ways you can customize your engagement ring to find the perfect fit. Would highly recommend. read more

Eric was amazing! Really informative and showed us all the bands and diamonds that I was curious about. I will definitely be coming back!

Made an appointment to check out a few engagement rings at Brilliant Earth. They were able to bring in several specific ring styles that I had asked for when I first scheduled the appointment. Nice touch offering water and chocolate when we first walked in. Our jewelry consultant, Eva, was friendly, helpful and put us at ease as we weren't pressured into buying anything during the consultation. Lasted about an hour and she answered all the questions I could think of. read more

Update: BE honored the return policy and allowed us to return the ring. The refund has hit our CC, so I am adjusting the review. As I said below, the experience purchasing was nice and the ring we kept is lovely. I'm only doing 4/5 because we tried all the "normal" pathways to resolve the issue, and I shouldn't have to resort to a review campaign to get good customer service for high-end jewelry. Buyer beware! We bought a wedding set at Brilliant Earth in September. In the course of purchasing it, I confirmed their return policy twice (once at the beginning and end of the purchase). The return policy was the ENTIRE reason I pulled the trigger and the purchase was made by the salesperson. This involved two "modifications" including a resize and a switch to 14K gold. AS IT TURNS OUT, this nullifies the return policy. Not only did the sales person NOT warn us of this, they didn't correct us at the end of the purchase when I confirmed the return policy, and the re-size was the salesperson's idea! As it turns out, I love the engagement ring, but I want to return the band and BE is giving us a total run-around. BE MORE TRANSPARENT. Their rings are lovely, the experience was nice in store, but their customer service is terrible. Now I regret the purchase of the ring care because I'm certain they will try to get out of that too. read more

Eric was very professional and great to work with. Incredibly knowledge and able to answer all my questions. Helped me understand all the processes and differences when selecting the perfect diamond and ring. read more

Eric and Constance have helped us both times we visited and each experience was supportive without any pressure or convincing. They asked us the best questions and provided much needed tips and education about the jewelry and rings we loved or were interested in. Both were extremely knowledgeable and they valued our goals and price range. The gallery is gorgeous and they took such great care of us and seemed to know our needs before we did! Would recommend to anyone trying to find their ethically sourced dream ring!! read more

The good: Drew was really nice and helpful. My husband bought me a gift for my birthday from Brilliant Earth's website. The item was significantly different than the picture. We made an appointment to return it. Drew was nice and processed the return. Still, we weren't able to look at other choices without a different appointment, even though we were clear about our intent to exchange. We ended up buying a much nicer item at a locally owned jeweler. They allowed us to look at/try on several options and walk out the door with it the same day. read more

Excellent service! Samantha O'Reilly went above and beyond to help me find the perfect necklace. She also helped me upgrade my engagement ring earlier this year. She explained everything clearly, offered good recommendations, and made me feel confident in my choice. The quality of the jewelry and whole experience of visit were outstanding. I highly recommend both the store and Samantha O'Reilly! read more

Eric was fantastic to work with! I told him exactly what I was looking for, he listened and didn't try to oversell me or change my mind. Great listener and WONDERFUL products. I can't wait to get my new ring! read more

I spoke with Ashley Contreras and she was very knowledgeable. She gave me a wide range of ring band setting selections within our price point. She also gave me some advice on ring stacking. Additionally, she helped me search for some diamonds and provided details on how they might look on the settings we were interested in. I highly recommend talking to Ashley for a great experience. read more

I am giving them 2 stars because their service was fine, and I don't hate my ring or the price. But that is all relative because for the price I don't think the price, selection or service were all that great. I made the mistake of only going to this place and one other. The other was a high end custom shop and in comparison Brilliant earths prices seemed so good. However, a few things tainted the process and I find myself looking at my ring 2 years later and wishing I had been pickier. After all it's on my finger every day. It didn't help there was no example of the design in my size to try on, which considering you only have like 5 designs to pick from is a little absurd. I have big hands but I'm not a freak or a giant. read more

Wyatt was fabulous and answered all our questions in a professional but friendly and personable way. I felt a genuine connection that made the buying experience one-of-a-kind. I can't wait to see my ring in person! Brilliant Earth, with their recycled metals, as well as natural and lab-created stones offers lots of options for those of us who want to minimize our impact on the environment. read more

Scheduled an appointment to look at engagement rings. I was nervous, but I think my sales person was more nervous. I wish they had more options to look at. They only had 1c natural and 3c lab to compare. I felt like I didn't get much help and I just wished it was a better experience. But I did see some pretty settings. I recommend looking online then going into the store to see it in person. read more

Drew was incredibly helpful this past weekend as I shopped for a few Christmas gifts! She was personable and engaging and really took the time to help me make the right selections that fit my needs. Also it was my first time into the store shopping in person and she was able to accommodate working with me without an appointment even though they were moderately busy at the time. I was really impressed with the service and the product was amazing and of course I love the sustainability focus of the company!! Highly recommend. read more

Almost positive that every positive review is for experiences where nothing went wrong. But just like people, the true mark of a quality vendor is how they behave when things go wrong. The sales people are great, but they eventually hand you off to an awful corporate system of indifference and inefficiency. They are not a small little boutique, they're closer to a large conglomerate that farms out their customer service to far away places filled with people that give less than a sh*t about you. They will do ANYTHING to deny even the simplest request and they're armed with enough red tape to keep those requests from being answered. If you go with them just know that you're rolling the dice. If everything looks great, fits, etc., you're probably fine. In any other scenario I guarantee you'll be disappointed. read more

How is this company run so poorly?? It's been a bad experience from day one. I needed to reschedule my first appointment so I called to see if they could fit me in for a showing later the same day. I was on hold for 45 minutes before I hung up. Since then, I've waited 3 months to see very specific stones, but they will not arrive to the portland location. The first time, they simply told me they didn't have my request on file, even though I had requested it before the first appointment, with the sales rep during the appointment, and even confirmed via email after with links to the stones. This month, they said the stones still haven't arrived. No apology, and no notification. I had to email 3 times to get a response the day of my follow up appointment. They said the diamonds hadn't made it in and maybe to reschedule. Again. Apparently these stones are coming from the east coast. I know it's the pandemic still, but I've had shipments come through from abroad within two weeks without issue. Oh and to top it all, they had written down both my ring size and my partner's ring size wrong. Like, way off. You can't mess around with people's engagement rings. This is a pretty special time for people. I love the mission of this company, but it's just not run well & makes ring shopping a depressing, tedious, hellish chore. read more

Purchased a ring from here in December of 2020. Ring was crafted poorly, diamonds kept falling out after only a couple months of careful wear around the house(starting early 2021). They had no problem blaming me and sending invoices to fix their mistakes(which they ended up doing for free, as they should). After escalating this to the umpteenth time to every local & regional manager I could possibly get ahold of, they still could not provide me any information on what was wrong with the ring, they had the attitude of "s*** happens, move on" Their call center is poorly trained, their craftsmen make sub-par rings, and their customer service reps rank just above that of a mildly-trained hamster. The only time they ever reached out to me with any sense of urgency was when I left them a review on here on yelp. Within literally minutes they were on the line begging me to change the review to something more positive. Brilliant earth cares about their image, not the customer. Buy with extreme caution. read more

I was visiting from out of town and got recommended this place by a local friend (who knew I was planning on asking the big question). Samantha was fantastic at helping me find the Perfect ring. Extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. all the way!

My girlfriend and I went to the Portland show room in search of the perfect engagement ring for her. Nicole helped us a lot - even getting down to the nitty gritty about what the classifications of diamonds meant. By the time all was said and done I ordered a beautiful piece that was delivered to their show room. Easy experience and easy pick up. read more

We had the best experience at Brilliant Earth. Nikki was so fun, we had immediate rapport and she was so helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. It really felt like we had a partner in making this decision. I also love how transparent BE is about sourcing and that they offer lab-grown alongside mined diamonds. Their selection is really robust as well to suit many different styles. In the end we got our dream ring here! It was custom made and ended up coming in a few days early, and Nikki was *so* responsive getting us set up to come in right away and pick it up. They think through every detail of your experience and make you feel really special. I will forever treasure my memory of selecting a ring. Thank you Nikki and BE team! read more

I went to Brilliant Earth to pick out a new setting for my engagement ring. I had a wonderful experience from start to end. Nikki helped me pick out my setting; she had several styles picked out for me in advance based on my preferences. I also got consistent feedback from Brilliant Earth on my order and when I could expect it to be delivered. The final product literally took my breath away, it is so beautiful! read more

I went to Brilliant Earth's Portland Oregon showroom. Looked at some beautiful lab created diamonds and settings, ordered one, and paid for 1/2 and from there it was all downhill. I could not get documentation for the ring that I bought - I did not get an order confirmation or receipt for the payment -nothing to indicate what I had purchased, when it was coming or how much was due. I found out a week later, the diamond I bought had already been sold, I owed more because of the ring size, and the order hadn't been placed - and still no receipt/documentation. After endless emails, phone calls, (not to the Portland Showroom-it's phone number was disconnected) I finally got a manually created receipt, and my ring is delayed 8 days and won't arrive on my anniversary as planned. This business has questionable business practices and poor customer service. I would not recommend. read more

I, as always, was running late for my appointment. But when I arrived, I was greeted just like anyone else, and Eric took his time with me to show me as many rings as I wanted to try on; he explained everything very simply and straight forward. Huge thanks to Eric for his time and patience! Great experience all around. read more

I had an appointment to view engagement rings. I received an email ahead of time with helpful information on local parking and how to find the show room. The appointment is 100% focused on you, it was nice to not have distractions around you. Eric was very patient as I debated over diamonds. Stay away! Deceiving practices. I ordered a wedding band and had it shipped to the showroom. When I went to pick up the ring, it didn't match my engagement ring as well as I thought it would. I returned it without ever bringing it home (no problem, it happens). I was still in the market for a band so I scheduled a visit to see a second band in-person to avoid any additional delays or disappointments. They emailed me that the ring I wanted was not available for viewing. I decided to purchase the ring anyway and was sent an email that they needed written consent that the ring would not be returnable before they would start the order. This is a brand new order, what happened to the 30 day return policy? I must not have read the small print (wherever that was hiding). If you are not going to provide an opportunity to see/try a specific ring in-person, the policy should be adjusted. I understand the goal of sustainability (but really they just don't want to cough back up your money should it not work out). Regardless, it shouldn't be at the expense of good customer service (and it also feels very deceiving). BE claims they want you to be happy with your purchase but their policies do not support this. I emailed them back to say NOPE and hope there won't be any additional crap thrown my way. I had studs and a necklace on my wishlist too, and truthfully loved that band, but I'll be finding another jeweler. Bye, BE! read more
