I have been to bi-mart a couple of times. Today I went and was approached at the door with I need a membership for $5. Never knew this so I left. This is like a smaller K-mart. I can't believe they charge to buy from this store. It's sad too because there is a lot of elderly folks who go in there that are on fixed budgets. read more

Giving this review 5 stars by default because I didn't exactly do my due diligence in my attempt. I had just picked my fam's meds from the Keiser on Western and I was looking for the Robitussin CF (which I happened to locate today--see Target review). I don't think I have actually ever been inside of a Bi-Mart before, so I just asked an associate if there was a pharmacy. She said no and I just turned around and went back to my car. I should have been more specific and asked if there was cold meds. Still haven't been inside a Bi-Mart , or Grocery Outlet Bargain Market...but heard good things read more

I'm writing this in hopes that management reads this and takes my feedback seriously. Being rude is poor service, but so is the "attitude of indifference". If you have ever been treated by an employee who doesn't seem to care, the behaviors are very obvious: - Avoidance of eye contact - Continuing to do whatever they are doing - Sighs of annoyance or rolling of the eyes - Slouching body language - Bored, monotone voice - No offer of additional advice if they can't answer or help you These behaviors could be indicative of a larger problem; such as, the employee is not happy with his supervisor or the business and is showing it through this passive aggressive behavior. Or, it could be the employee was never trained to understand how her facial expressions, voice tone, and body posture can convey the wrong message. In either case, it is management's responsibility to call out the behaviors, address them, train if needed, and follow up to ensure they have been changed. This means management must be regularly walking through their organizations to see what their customers are seeing. read more

If ever a store had a fan club of hardcore shoppers it would be Bi-Mart. Ask around: you're either a card carrying member or you've never heard of the place. Us members carry our green cards with pride and are quick to spot others who do the same. Bi-Mart is the place to go for day to day household and yard supplies. Their spring season garden starts are always on sale and generally half or a quarter of the price found anywhere else. read more

Hello, I appreciate this Bi-Mart on Western Ave. Been going for many years. In terms of selection, there is a bit of everything. Usually, I can visit to find the item or an item close to what I need. Prices are fair. $5 for a lifetime membership. My only gripe, if you will, is the return process, very archaic and time consuming (hint: bit of writing involved). But knowing this, I make careful selections of my purchases. Employees have stake in the company and is Northwest based. I prefer brick and mortar stores, as opposed to online. read more

Contrary to what its name may lead you to believe, those who have a definite gender preference for their sexual partners may still shop at Bi-Mart. Apparently it has nothing to do with that at all. Just "clever" spelling. Bi-Mart is not high-class by any stretch of the imagination. But if you're looking for dish towels, hair curlers, an iron, pots and pans, or something along those lines, well, you might want to hit Bi-Mart. You have to be a member, but it's $5 for a lifetime membership. I think they may also sell food, but I've generally stuck to the housewares section. You can wander around and look at the deals, probably for hours. They do have some great bargains. But, you know, it's also sort of creepy. read more

Bi-Mart on Western Ave in Beaverton, OR. I work by this Bi-Mart. I stopped in today to get some Jerkey (its on sale) the parking lot was empty (which was nice) I decided to come to Bi-Mart on Break. They are having a big sale on beef Jerkey. I have been a card carrying member for a couple years and they always have a strange mix of stuff. The Home Electronics section looks like it has not changed since the 80's. They Jerkey is located at the fromt of the store. One other thing that I really enjoy about Bi-Mart is the fishing and hunting section. Talk about stocked. They always have a HUGE assortment of stuff. I have a whole collection of rooster tails that I got here. Overall, I love Bi-Mart and the Green Card. I am a proud member. read more

The customer service here is terrible. The greetings upon entering are more random now, and at the register I barely receive eye contact, a greeting, or a thank you. I tried to just get used to it because it's convenient, but I doubt I'll be back. read more

Sort of like the tent in Harry Potter's Goblet of Fire movie... it is a smallish store that almost always seems to have just what oddity I went in looking for. Out Christmas tree stand died suddenly when trying to get it to hold up this year's tree... every place was sold out and I need to get one that night because the tree was already in the house. Not only did they have one... they had three style for me to choose from in a variety of sizes. I picked up some stocking stuffers while there, too. read more

Bi-Mart is a northwest based company. It really is like a general store of old. A bit of everything, but not a lot of selection. Some items are a bit on the cheap side on quality, others are a pretty good deal. It can be hit or miss, but it is nice to support an organization that is locally based. read more

Tim was useless. Bought a watch for my wife at Christmas time. It stopped running. Took it back to Bi Mart-I did not have a receipt. They would change me $5. It was not the battery. So- i bought a new watch for my wife at Christmas, no longer working and Bi-Mart wont make it good. Fred Meyers would have. read more

I joined when they were giving away a package of toilet paper that's worth $5 which made the membership worth it - you say bargain, I'm there. That was several years ago and I must say, I go to Bi-Mart maybe twice a year when I do see some GREAT deal, otherwise, I'm really not tempted and here's why: - the price: unless it's on a sale, the stuff I'd buy are not really a good deal compared to, say, Target. - the ambiance: well, what ambiance, i should say. The vibe of the store is uh it just feels very outdated... it's as if I'm in the middle of nowhere where the ladies still perm their bangs and spray on a bottle of hair spray to make the bangs stand up as high as their shoulder pads that have never felt the 80's come and gone... - employees: more aloof and minimally courteous than friendly. Thought to myself I got a friendlier treatment from Walmart employees. Now that is saying a lot. read more

Went in to look at some rifles, and the lady behind the counter seamed like she didn't really want to help because it was near closing time. Anyway, I wanted to purchase a rifle and she said it takes 30mins to do the paper work and do a bg check. It was like 5:30ish so I just walked out. Maybe cause I wasn't white? I have always been a big fan of bi mart. They are a membership store but the membership only costs $5. their prices are usually pretty low and they have a ton out outdoors items which I just love. this store seems to be a hunting, fishing, camping, pharmacy, homegood type store. I believe it is a local NW company which is also pretty interesting as I though it was a nation wide franchise. They also have a small electronics, cosmetics, and food department but it doesnt stray much further than that. The only reservation ihave about not giving it a possible 5 star rating is that they are often out of stock on items that I need. It isnt too un-common for them to be sold out of exactly what im looking for, however, this could just be my luck. If you're and outdoors type person i would reccomend checking this place out. read more

I love every employee that works here. Everyone is down to earth and are not the type to be fake and kiss your ass because you are a customer. Working in retail is one of the hardest jobs.. especially at Bi mart, where they deal with old grumps on a daily basis. People who leave shit reviews because they felt they were not treated like royalty need to step back and take a long hard look at their surroundings. These people work their asses off by stocking, price changes, schematics, inventory, cleaning, cashiering, customer service, and so on, so that people can com Ie in and get what they need and get the hell out. And that is it. They are not out there to be someones whipping post. Every employee no matter where you go will be super friendly when you treat them like human beings.
