I had the opportunity to purchase the creme brulee cake for a work pot luck and it was pretty darn tasty! I would buy again because I received a lot of positive comments about this dessert. The shelves are always stocked nicely and the workers are very nice. It's a large store with plenty of parking. Returns are easy and membership services are great. Gas station is convenient as well! This is one of the larger Costcos in the Portland and surrounding areas. They are always well stocked and have items that I don't see in my regular location, the smaller Costco in Tigard. Went during the day after a doctors appointment, which is why I was out in Hillsboro, and they had lots of samples. The spinach and feta flatbreads were so flavorful and simple to prepare - just toast or pan fry - so I bought them For a quick lunch. Plus a few other spontaneous purchases, which is always the situation! Also grabbed my staples - the platter of shrimp cocktail that is always perfectly cooked and is a great protein source for easy meals on their own or to add to salad, pasta, tacos, etc; a roasted chicken for so many easy meals; Orgain collegian protein powder on sale; the Kirkland tuna and canned chicken; plus a huge bag of Skinny Pop popcorn on sale. Also love the egg white bites for a quick and tasty protein loaded breakfast. And Kevin's Thai Coconut chicken is delicious with added red peppers, onions and mango over brown rice. It was $3 off, so bought three packages since they freeze easily. Parking is what it is, sometimes you park close, other times you have to walk far, but a trip to Costco involves lots of steps so embrace it! read more

There are things I like about Costco. A few things off the top of my head are some of the staples I buy are good deals here. I buy organic produce, organic tofu, brown rice, chickpeas, unroasted, no salt cashews, maple syrup, organic peanut butter. I get Impossible burgers, used to get Beyond burgers. They used to carry the Gardein orange chick'n in the bigger bags. That's the thing, I love it when they carry stuff that I enjoy and next thing I know, they don't carry it anymore. Or I get used to the layout of the store, and they move everything around. It's hard to flag a person down to ask where something is. I have to go to the front of the store to ask an associate. Sometimes I buy potatoes, onions, garlic in the big bags. It's cheaper than regular grocery stores, but never would be able to go through it before it goes bad. So I'll portion stuff out to give to family and friends. I've bought big ticket items here. If it doesn't work out, I've had no problems returning the item, even without a receipt. I have an executive membership. I usually get enough back at the end of the year that pays for the membership. So it ends up being worthwhile! read more

This is my absolute favorite Costco of all time, because it's so spacious and easy to navigate. First the parking lot is incredible, there is SO much parking and the spaces are nicely laid out, super spacious with adequate cart returns stationed throughout the lot. And you can catch amazing sunset views! Inside the aisles are nice and wide, the store is always well stocked with a nice selection of my go to items and the staff is friendly and helpful. I have liked this Costco for close to 20 years. I recently had 2 back surgeries 2 months apart. I find it difficult to walk all of Costco. The major problem is that this store has 4 yes four riding carts. A store that big and that busy should have way more. I have had to sit and wait and wait for an available cart. I give up often and get my medicine and leave. Seems like they would want people to spend money not just leave. I have written comments card and talked to management to get nowhere. read more

This is one of the better Costco locations! Especially with the parking lot. I was in shock genuinely parking in the ADA since 1. There WAS a space free! Seriously, most of the time I get to park across the universe and walk because ADA is gone. 2. As I was exiting my vehicle, another person nearby had a motorized shopping cart and offered it to me for use. I was so grateful though I try to "work it out" and use grocery shopping to get some walking in since I can lean into the cart for mini breaks and such. It was just amazing since I genuinely get so use to other Costco shoppers seriously act like they are trying to run me down. The store seems to be pretty well arranged too. THIS LOCATION DOES NOT SEEM TO SUPPORT WOMEN. This location seems to have an issue with customer service. My issue this last time was at that pharmacy which this location does not support women who made need plan b in case of emergencies and at a MUCH lower price than other stores, they require you to have a Costco card or prescription and other locations in our area allow the purchase without either of those things. The people working here made it a really uncomfortable situation when going to try and purchase that item. Theres been a couple other times I was in here with my sister and the service was so terrible and the workers were rude. The selection here on items is also lacking compared to other locations. All around theres other locations but a bit further if a drive, but service and selection are much better. read more

It's costco. What can I say. The store is always clean. They're rarely out of things. I come here for specific stuff and try to get out as fast as I can. I stopped coming so often because of the employees. Numerous bad experiences at the checkstands has made me almost hate coming here. I don't care if they have the best prices on certain things anymore. I just don't want to be judged or talked down to at the check stand. They're also ridiculous about policing the bathrooms. I came with a friend who brought her kids and they wouldn't let her push the cart down to the bathroom Until she checked out. But her 2 young kids were strapped in. Luckily I was there to wait with them, but what if I hadn't been? The bathrooms are so far away from The checkstands, what a hassle for parents. What was she gonna do? Smuggle a 36pack of Dr.Pepper out under her sweater? If they're that concerned they can post an employee down by the dang bathrooms to make sure nobody takes stuff out of the cart into the bathroom. There were plenty just standing around. Don't get me started on how poorly they pack the boxes with your stuff too. Clearly none of them played tetris as kids . I ALWAYS have to repack my stuff when I get to the car and it's annoying as heck. Cold stuff together. Softer stuff on top of heavy stuff. Have a membership for such a long time here and there are always good deals. I bought a hoodie today and groceries for thanksgiving but they ran out of eggs... The service is good they just told us they ran out so I had to go to Walmart after but it's fine. I come here every few months as some of the items especially certain Indian groceries are exclusively found in this Costco but its still a long drive for me to do that often . I can't believe we went on a day that is technically a holiday and the parking lot was jam packed! It was busy but the lines were not long and they were fully staffed. Not a bad trip for such a busy day, it felt like going on a Saturday or Sunday. We got all the food we needed and found some great deals on things we could use but didn't necessarily need. I am very disappointed with the Tire Department . I purchased four tires about a month ago, yesterday I found that I had one flat tire. I stopped at a tire store and ''twas told I had a screw in it. So I went to the same Costco where I got the tríese since they claim free flat repairs. When I asked the person on the Tire desk how long to get my flat fixed, I was told that I needed to schedule this work, And they were very booked. That I could leave my car all day I told him that was not possible then he said they might be able to squeeze me in at the end of the day! I was there right after they open and basically telling me I would not have my car all day, totally unacceptable! Today I joined a check-out line and after the person in front of me finished unloading, the associate put up the "line closed" sign by stepping directly in front of me, without even acknowledging me. I thought that was odd, but I moved to the next line behind someone who came after me. A couple minutes later, the same employee reopened his line, and asked for the next person while motioning to the customer in front of me. I said I was just in his line when he closed it, so I would be next. The two employees acted like I was cutting and said something snarky, so I just tried to engage the best I could and moved on as fast as possible. Evidently, they never noticed I was in line before, and they thought I was rude by returning to my spot after they reopened it. Earlier, three employees were loading a freezer and loudly complaining about how management screwed up because one of them was going to be off the next day, and they would be low on employees. I generally have a high opinion of Costco, but I'm wondering if employees are losing sight of the importance of customer service and the value of a positive customer experience. Hahahahaha it blows my mind that people here are writing how "busy" this Costco gets. Yo, try Costco in Los Angeles or Boston. At least 7x the amount of foot traffic. And the Costco locations aren't even that big compared to the abundance of space here in Hillsboro. But hey, if there's anything I've learned recently, it's that Hillsboro is going to Hillsboro. Anyway, fun fact, this Costco location used to be the largest until one in Utah opened that is actually bigger. There are legit items that I see at this Costco warehouse that I've never seen at other Costco locations and I've lived and/or traveled all over the USA at this point. One thing I want to point out is that the parking situation is amazing. I've never seen so much parking for a Costco location in my adult life since I started living in cities such as Phoenix, Los Angeles, etc etc. But then again, Hillsboro isn't a "metro" city though it is up and coming. As far as product offerings, like I said there's a ton of items in this store. But beyond the concept of quantity, this Costco has self-serve kiosks that you can walk up to for ordering food from the cafeteria. Ever hated waiting in line for some fool at the front spending 15 minutes arguing with the cashier on what their total to pay is? Now you can sidestep all that bullshit and just order from the kiosk, then walk up to the pickup counter to get your food when it's ready. Then there's the whole concept of the coffee machine. I don't know if this is a Pacific Northwest thing, but I've never seen a self-serve coffee machine at a Costco until I moved to Oregon from California back in March 2019. I've been to Costco warehouses in Arizona, California, Massachusetts, and more, and this seemed new to me. For $1.00, you can get stellar quality coffee, and because it's Costco, it's "large af" coffee. So yeah, come on by, ignore the Yelp haters and try this Costco sometime. read more

This Costco probably has the worst customer service of any Costco I've ever been to. Unfortunately I'm not making that statement on one visit, but three separate visits at three separate times. The first time, I wasn't even acknowledged by the cashier because she spent the whole time complaining to her co-worker about her manager and then was annoyed when I interrupted her with a question. The second time I asked for my items to be boxed and they said okay and proceeded not to box anything- I had to steal a box from another register and do it myself. The most recent time, again I asked for all small items to be boxed and they didn't- when I asked again they threw a box into my cart and said "there ya go". I guess I should just not ask any questions here. I always try to be understanding of the time we are in but this is unacceptable during any time. read more

Costco Tire Center I do not recommend buying tires from Costco because the service is terrible. I bought a set of Michelin Defender tires from Costco 2 months ago. One of my tires has an air leak, so I took it to this location for service. I spoke to a tech about fixing my leaky tire. The service tech said I had to go into the store and schedule an appointment at the service counter to have my tire fixed. I had to wait 15 minutes at the service counter before someone came to schedule my appointment. I was told I had to wait 2 hours to have my tire fixed, and it would take up to 45 minutes to fix my tire. Unfortunately, I had to leave and reschedule because I had my 2 year old daughter with me. read more
