Fall decor

Home Goods rocks! Whether you are going there for something specific or just walking in because you are in the area, you are bound to find something you just have to have. Often, many things! My entire condo is filled with a finds from Home Goods - modern rugs, huge pieces of art, lamps, bedding, pillows, outdoor furniture, dishes, serving pieces, throws, pillows, tables, mirrors, benches, faux succulents, vases, silk plants, candles and cookware. Then there's the holiday decor! Seriously, this store has it all and at prices that don't break the bank, yet the items look way more expensive than they are. People are always complimenting and are shocked when I tell them where it was purchased. Don't forget to check out the pantry items, they often have high end pasta sauces, a wonderful pasta assortment with many shapes hard to find in Portland grocery stores, lemon aioli and mustards from Stonewall Kitchen, Olive oil, flavored vinegars, pickled vegetables, gourmet chocolate sauces, candy, cookies and so much more! I'm a sucker for white serving pieces and dishes; they make any meal look Instagram worthy. Home Goods carries a lot of white ceramic from Portugal that you can mix in with whatever pieces you own. Like long rectangular serving platters that double as dishes when you are serving tacos; white angled bowls for those popular grain bowls; and the perfect sized pasta dishes. During the holidays, and that is every single holiday - Easter, July 4th, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, St, Patrick's Day - they have everything to make your holiday spirit shine. Dish towels, bedding, pillows, throws, ornaments, dishes, candles, candy, placemats, table runners, towels, trolls, glass pumpkins, trees, cocktail napkins - the list goes on and on! I shop all of the Home Goods in the Portland area, stopping in different locations when I'm in the area. It's always worth going in because while all stores have similar items, they have slightly different inventory so you never know what you will find. Home Goods is a definite value add to Orenco Station! Customer service here is always friendly and helpful. Yes, the store is sometimes messy but that is because of the customers!!! One reviewer spoke about getting her purse stolen and that is horrible, a violation, but not the fault of Home Goods. How could they possibly predict that some random person walking in is seeking an opportunity to steal a purse. Seriously. This store is safe and it's a joy to shop there!

They always have a great selection and are well stocked. The store is clean and the employees are friendly. The prices at Home Goods are definitely higher than Ross. But it's definitely a better store for home goods.

1/15/2019 - Darn it - if these were in a Queen they would be mine!

I adore Home Goods..flat out adore... When I am feeling uninspired OR inspired... When I need some ideas for the house... or the kitchen just needs that extra....extra. A friend gifted me these gorgeous candle holders sans the candles. Couldn't have found one anywhere else that all matched for less. I needed that perfect center piece for my table. They have great bedding, unique bathroom sets...great wall art...furniture... vases, crystal... The latest visit was to get blankets. I have a ridiculously comfy couch for movies and such. All the blankets covering it to cuddle with were just...done. Two different Home Goods locations (including this one) + $150 between the two and perfection was achieved. This is also such a great spot for your Halloween and Christmas decor as well as gifts. I love the uniqueness of their stock....seriously, I buy things here and NEVER see them anywhere else.

Only one register open and there's a problem so we are just waiting....

Can't wait until Clackamas location will be open, only regret not having updated online store.

This workshop is small but full of bright colors and farm house vibe with lots of fun projects to do. We were greeted warmly by the friendly staff and this workshop started promptly with detailed instructions to explore 20 different scents and discussion of their categories. Both Zoe and Elizabeth were super helpful in guiding us to choose adjacent or complimentary scents for our candles, and the hardest part was choosing only 2 scents to make your candle! You reserved this experience online but you can also upgrade to a different containers (a tea cup or pumpkin - so cute!) and add extra candles onsite. The candle will need at least an hour to 2 hours to set so we were free to walk around Orenco station and got to snack and catch up while our candles were drying. My friend was able to pick her up that night but mine was not set yet so I had to come back during the weekend. They have so many cool projects to choose from and a good selection of beverages for purchase. I will definitely be back with other friends to try out other projects in the future. Check out their website to see if any of their projects will pique your interest!

The apartment is nice and conveniently located to many stores and eating establishments. I reported a couple of small things that needed to be addressed, and Kiley had someone that care of them promptly. The grounds are well maintained, and the maintenance staff are very helpful. Water is shut off frequently and sometimes without much notice. Management takes a "sorry but blame _______" approach for issues. (The city, company, vendors, etc.) I want to start by saying this was a hard review to write because I really enjoy my apartment and it's location. The negative aspect of the review is mostly due to the Sequoia company overall (as the property manager seemed to indicate a lot of the issues are due to the company and not him). First a little back story: we've lived here about three years (April 2020) and really enjoyed our place. The first summer they begun a construction project of replacing all of the siding on all of buildings. They took up a fairly large area outside of our building and used it as a staging area. Extremely inconvenient (noise, trash, etc) but we were understanding and were told at the time it was temporary. Fast forward and we now are in the third summer of this project. From May-September we expect to be woken up at 7:30am and to have their staging area yet again outside of our apartment. Last year we got a nail stuck in our tire and had to get it replaced. Not to mention all the construction dust. Additionally, last year we had a huge issue with trash due to the construction. This year we were notified to lock our door and take extra precautions as the crime has gone up and people in our community have been impacted. One has to wonder if the construction invites more crime? Every time we bring an issue to management (which we have to do in person because they don't respond to emails unless you use the resident portal) it seems their reaction is to give an apology but blame another entity and share there's nothing they can do. We've resigned every year without any fuss over the rent increase. This year due to everything happening between our apartment being the unlucky 3 summer staging area and the frequent water outages we decided to try to ask to keep our rate the same for another 12 months. They offered us an $80 monthly increase if we signed for 12 (higher rates for less time) but agreed to drop down to $50 monthly increase. To which we were told by the property manager that $50 is the minimum they have to raise the rates by, company policy. Additionally he shared that there are people living in two bedroom apartments that moved in last summer so they pay $2,200 when the same apartments now go for $1,800 and they would still be charged at least a $50 rate increase. Check your rates neighbors! It boggles my mind that a company would rather hardline a $50 minimum rather than keep a paying resident. Unfortunately we are having some financial hardship and will likely resign for one more year as the cost of moving is a lot of up front cost but plan to depart next year unless a new company buys the apartment. Greedy corporate companies can charge whatever they want and offer less benefit for it due to the supply and demand problem but someday that will shift and these companies are going to feel the pain of poor customer retention policies. As it is now our rate is competitive but not under market value so moving is not outside the options even in this market.

I usually try to get a place so that the lines (the do not park here) are for my door because sometimes bending to get in or out of the car is more difficult if swollen etc. I was just starting to open my door and a gent flew into the lined space nearly taking my door off so that he could argue with his wife and teen as to who was going into a store. I was seriously paralyzed with fear - seriously dude... I am already in ADA, please don't kill me! SOOOO, apparently park here with caution. This was on a Friday so perhaps it is rougher heading into the weekend. I will say that the store does seem light on clothing and heavier on home things. I did see entirely too much I wanted to take home. Getting through the registers was pretty fast even with how busy the store was which was nice indeed. And, as with all these type of stores - some of the best things are in the line on shelves.

Anyways, when I entered there was a kind lady who greeted me and offered to help me wipe the cart handle down. I didn't need it but am happy to see someone helps sanitize it before you use it. There was also a person who greeted me and was counting how many customers entered and also had plenty of sanitizers for us to use. There were arrows to guide you but this Marshalls and probably like many others, are quite crowded. Everything is very close so you'll be very close to people too if it's a busy day. I guess those who don't mind can be close together but I tend to wait till the aisle is less busy before I check it out. I didn't buy anything but noticed they have a white wall between each cashier and customer.
