I like that they offer two age groups for this event so my toddler isn't getting trampled by larger kids. They put out a lot of big movement toys like slides, spinning discs, large foam blocks to climb and build with, gymnastics equipment and much more. It's great to get energy out instead of sitting around bored at home. This is also a more affordable alternative to indoor playgrounds. Drop in rate is $4 for residents and you can stay from open to close (9am-2:30pm). There are also memberships if you think you will be going often or using the other amenities at the center.

Eagles Nest popped up on Google Maps and away we went. This vineyard is like an eagles nest - you have views of the beautiful sky, rolling hills and the urban buildings of Hillsboro in the distance. They have only started making wine in the last couple of years, so the vineyard is still new. We walked through some of the vines and you could see grapes in different stages of growth. There are a few tables, a few Adirondack chairs and soft rolling grass that you can sit and enjoy the views on. The wine? Delicious! We tried the red flight which was a mix of roses and reds. The wine making here is based on naturalized farming techniques and limited interventions. They depend on the silt from the nearby Columbia River to enrich the grapes. I'm not a fan of reds but I enjoyed this vineyard a lot! We will be back when we are in Oregon next time :)

There are paved paths into the trees, but no real indication of where the restaurant is supposed to be vs. the various other things (like outdoor event seating, the area for weddings, etc.) they have there. He led us to the sitdown restaurant. The restaurant was not supremely busy - at least on the inside. I believe a lot of people were outside because it was a nice day. My buddy got a beer and a shot and we ordered our food. I went with the BBQ Brisket Sandwich. Normally, I get a burger or sliders, but it was on the seasonal menu and sounded good. I got it with a side of cajun tots. Then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. It took over an hour before we got our food. To be fair, an older couple that was seated outside right before we were seated inside got their food and about 7-8 minutes later we got ours, so they were making and delivering the food in the correct order. The large table next to our booth had 9 people and they got their appetizers early and then got the rest of their food after we did (they ordered after us, too). I will say the food was very good. I've read some reviews about the lack of meat on the BBQ Brisket sandwich - which is a whopping $25 -- but mine had enough. It does come on a large piece of sandwich, so the bread will fill you up. I couldn't eat everything and left a handful of tots on the plate, so I'm not complaining. From what I heard, the burger one of my friends got was very good and the beer and shot was tasty (aged whisky, I believe he said). Overall, it is a beautiful place. Fortunately for me, I had an experienced guide, otherwise I would have been lost upon getting out of my car. Lots of side areas for smoking cigars or tequila bars and I wouldn't have known where I needed to go to eat. The food was very good, but it took FOREVER. The waiter we had was excellent as well - he checked on us a few times and he recognized the food was taking a long time, but there's nothing he can do about that. The food came out around the order it appears they were placed, which is as fair as you can get. I would definitely come back now that I know where I'm going. I don't make it a point to visit McMenamin's locations like he does, but this is a nice location, the staff is great, the food is very good, and if you like other McMenamin's locations, I bet you will like this one as well.

As a woman of Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) and Greek parents, I was truly excited to see this production. It was well publicized on social media, so I shared out and encouraged friends to join me. It's opening weekend, and I attended the Sunday matinee to attend the opening speech given by Nimiipuu artist, Kellen Trenel, responsible for costumes and set design. His talents stem from generations of traditional beadwork, weaving, and design. The collage of personal, familial, and upcycled modern pieces were evident and truly added a special touch. The setting is small and intimate, but if I'd offer any suggestions, it would be to provide a mic for any Q&A. The story was comedic at times, and made you pause to really absorb the message. The ending packed a punch and brought tears to my eyes! Hats off to all who were involved in bringing this moving play to the area. Hillsboro is a beautiful town that I've not visited, but am glad to have had the opportunity to see more of the region.

My office is in Hillsboro and I live in Beaverton so this is truly a perfect location for me to see a show. The location is also grand when you consider how many great spots are available for getting food before the show or late night places for after the show. The parking is not ideal, especially if you have mobility issues. The parking is also not horrible - you will likely be a few blocks away so you are going to want to plan accordingly. Downtown Hillsboro does become a ghost town after 7pm so you can leisurely walk back to your car after the show. When you walk into the space it seems fairly small based on the lobby. This is just where you check in and grab some wine. The theater itself is a nice layout although you will want to be mindful to go to your right and sit far right if you are in need of a restroom a lot or else you may get stuck. There is not a bad seat in the house from what I could see. The stage and audience seating proximity is pretty perfect and the theater has a very open feel to it so I never felt cramped or like the air was stagnant etc. This is just a great place to see something unique. If A Clockwork Orange is any indication of the quality of shows put on at the Vault - I can't wait to see another show here.

When I walked into the hotel and told them who I was, they greeted me like I was their long-lost friend, it was so fun! I got to meet Jennifer, Estefany, and Daniel face to face, which was the treat I was looking forward to. Then I got to meet my new friend Dominique! First of all, we have been to many hotels over the years for our anniversaries, but I have never been treated like this in the past. They did some special things for us at this hotel that we have never had done for us before! We were amazed at the way they went above and beyond for us! Then besides everyone being very nice and welcoming, the hotel was so clean and just smelled fresh. The view from our window was beautiful as well! To top it all off their free breakfast was amazing! That is where we met Dominique! She was like icing on the cake. She worked nonstop in the kitchen and dining area to make the breakfast perfect for everyone! She met me the first day and called me by name every day after that! She kept all the food fresh and all the tables clean, like I said, she never stopped! She was cheerful the whole time and just brightened up the breakfast area for us all! She was a great addition to an already beautiful experience! No, this one is by far the best experience I've had at a holiday inn Express in YEARS. The front staff was so kind and helpful. Stairs to the stage are vey dangerous. The air conditioner to the get ready room broke during the wedding and flooded the hallway. We had to use all of our bathroom paper towels to attempt to dry up the dangerous mess. We called management several times and they were of no assistance. The bride and he wedding party literally had to drag their dresses though the mess. The field was dirty and full of broken glass and garbage the day of the ceremony. All of these concerns and more were brought up to the owners/managers without an appropriate response or concern. Don't book your special event here until the owners learn how to run a proper event.
