Well I technically chose them as the bowling was the least expensive in the area. And for us two, for 90 minutes, it was almost $70. Yes. That's EXPENSIVE. So we made the most of it and had a great time. We played with all the options in the bowling area for games and were silly and had fun. And clearly didn't bowl well lol But despite the price - fun was had. Service is okay at best over by the "Tap house," but at least the option exists to have "table service," while you bowl. We recently held a teen party here and it was easily one of the easiest planning/executions anyone could have asked for! It was a last minute ask (thank you, dear child *eye roll*) that I was able to book at a preferred time in under a week, and the kids had fun, which is what mattered most! From start to finish, service was spot on: we were met by Coleton who walked us through the logistics & timing, as well as helped with some changes I requested due to attendance, and our server was Paige who made sure the boys never went without beverages. Pizzas came out quickly so the kids were able to eat & bowl, and everything was timed to perfection so they were able to sing to the Birthday Boy and enjoy cake before heading over for some Laser Tag & arcade time to end the festivities. It was also great to have a table reserved in the arcade area for belongings & whatnot, which also allowed some pitchers of beverages for the rest of the time. The space itself was immaculate and staff was buzzing around to keep tables turned over, bowling balls replaced to their rightful homes for future bowlers and the restrooms (at least the ladies!) were also clean (I know that can be a big deal for families, especially with Littles). All in all, I'd say this was money well spent, especially considering everything that is included in the package. For 7 total kids, I think they played 3-4 games of bowling, we did 2 laser tag games & their arcade time, didn't have to set up, break down or clean up party supplies/food, etc -- id do it again in a heartbeat! read more

Went here for the afternoon on a Saturday. Had a lane reserved for the two hours. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and pretzel rolls. Kingpin is a great place to go and one of the apps we use always has a coupon that shows up a couple times a year for a couple free games of bowling and all you have to do is pay for the shoes. Now I used to love bowling before I had kids, but if you know what you have kids bowling is more like commit to your kids to finish the game or you bowl for like 17 people until you feel like your arm is gonna fall off as your kids can runoff and mash buttons on the video games. With all that aside, I like kingpins I am not the hugest fan of their laser tag because it never seems full and the only time laser tag is fun as if it is absolutely full. Maybe I'm not going at the right times because it does seem to be quite empty, even though the bowling alley will be quite popping. With that, though they have good bowling you know I don't really know what it takes to be bad bowling but they're friendly and things are clean and I think that is about all you can hope for in a bowling alley read more

My husband and I have been bowling on league here for several years. It is a bigger bowling alley, however it is arranged in a manner that separates leagues from the party center. The staff is so friendly and attentive. Also, the brisk air from their top notch air conditioning is greatly appreciated on hot summer days. League bowlers get an assorted of valuable coupons every month, along with excellent bowling discounts. A newer center with plenty to do. Multiple entrances with some easy access for people dragging in their own balls. Love the seating area room to move around and get around other bowlers. Really attention to detail. It's a family fun center so lots going on and lots of people walking around. Here's the unusual part the food is not typical. It's a bit of an upgrade for bowling alley food. Not overpriced. Decent turn around time from order to at your table. You can also order from the lane on the screen and not have to wait for a waitress. A good pro shop located at the end of the center. It can be loud when during lead. The acoustics just make it hard to hear. Not a huge deal. Also love the parking lots of spaces and plenty of space between spots. read more

One of the better bowling facilities in Portland, if not Oregon. A clean, family friendly place with amazing service. They have a nice arcade onsite and laser tag as well. I have never tried the latter here. I come once a month or so to play in their Monte Carlo events. It's 25-35 per person to bowl three games and it comes with shoes. Not bad for a Saturday night! You can win money and prizes too. I enjoy my regular trips to this place. Having easy parking and so many nice restaurants in close proximity are also major pluses. Check it out! read more

Thus far, I've only been here twice, and both times primarily for a work event. So technically I cannot review things based on cost and value. But so far so good, I'd say! Here's some info about this modern bowling alley called KingPins: : Parking Situation : Two choices, park in the front where the spaces are wider and normal. But keep in mind it's shared with the other shops and restaurants that it can get packed. Or park in the garage behind KingPins, only the spaces are crammed and NOT normal in size. It's like every space is compact. Or bring your Tesla and you can charge at a Supercharger. Which is also in the garage. :: Bowling Lanes & Layout :: From the main entrance, you immediately see the arcade area for the kiddos to go play. Give them a FunCard and they'll be on their way to insta-gratification! They even have a few VR games and a LaserTag arena. From the rear entrance, from the garage, you'll be in the general lanes area where anyone can reserve a lane. Besides the arcade is another set of lanes, in which they are primarily used for large groups or company events. I believe the bowling leagues play on this side as well. This side is better because it's also where the bar is, called TapHouse. There are plenty of tables and chairs, and for the most part they've been clean. ::: Food & Service ::: Thus far, no issues with service. At the counter where you borrow shoes, the staff behind there have been welcoming and helpful. As far as the wait-staff at the bar area, they too have also been pretty cordial. Regarding TapHouse and the food menu, in which I've only had tried what catered. They sell company party catering packages, and I gotta say the food really isn't that bad at all. The cocktail drinks however are super expensive. Two drinks easily $24 to $28, not including tip. Yep, a $13 average. Specialty beers on tap, about half the average. :::: Overall :::: KingPins is definitely "family oriented" in my opinion. Gone are the days of old stinky smokey bowling alleys. Keep your kids busy bowling or entertain them in the arcade. For the most part, I've had fun bowling here, and I really don't mind it here at all. It's funny that I have been here a couple times and have yet to bowl. The bowling looks to be good, but I'm not a frequent enough bowler to judge. I suppose I'm judging by the people coming in with their bowling bags in tow that look super profesh! I've come for trivia night with friends a few times and have had a great time. Went here on a Saturday night with a group of friends and had a blast! One of our friends reserved two lanes ahead of time as Saturday nights can get busy. The atmosphere is fun, especially when the bowling alley turns into cosmic bowling. There is also a huge arcade room. We ordered tater tots, fries, nachos, and pitchers of beer for the entire group. The serving size is huge! It's typical food that you can get at a bowling alley, so no complaints there. Service was quick. The bowling screen was interactive and unique. This was my first experience with Kingpins. We purchased our tickets on Groupon for 90 minutes of bowling and a $20 FunCard for just $53. Since we bought the tickets through a third party, we couldn't make a reservation, so I called for more information. I found out that Taphouse (one of the bowling areas) allows walk-ins, so we went on a Saturday morning. Check-in was very easy; we just needed to show them our Groupon voucher. They gave us the shoes we needed and the FunCard. I should mention that the shoes were very clean, which was a concern I had before planning the visit. They also offer food service if needed. After 90 minutes of great bowling, we spent another 15 minutes playing games with the FunCard. Kingpins is a great family activity place in Beaverton. read more

I have said that I am not a fan of King Pins. I don't really like bowling on a timer. They did have a 23.99 "video" games, bowling and laser tag pass. I actually thought that we would have to pay for the bowling shoes, but turns out that they were included as well. That was a big bonus. We played a lot of pop a shot, Skee Ball, and my son and daughter did a few rounds of Lazer Tag and VR. We also bowled a couple games each. The video games are weak though. Understandable that due to the promotion no tickets or prizes were awarded...for video game enthusiasts I highly recommend Next Level Pinball Shop and Museum. We stopped in on a Sunday while visiting the area because we saw they had late night laser tag! They have a variety of different games, an area for drinks and bowling along with their laser tag. It wasn't too busy when we went, but you could tell people have fun here. We spent $8/person for each 15 minute session and got lucky (in our opinion) and had the whole laser tag area to ourselves. This meant every man for themselves and we had so much fun. There were targets to hit for points along with each other and they have an upstairs and a downstairs. We ended up playing two rounds and had so much fun each time. I won the first round and for second the next. It's always more fun when you win. My friends and I ended up playing some games afterward and didn't win many tickets but still walked away with some vampire teeth as prizes. What a fabulous family friendly multi generational community spot. The space is designed so you are Able to enjoy one of the options without being overwhelmed by the choices. Happy Hour Bar? Pizza and Beer? Laxer Tag? Arcade? Bowling? Choose your favorite pastime and dive in. On my visit I saw grandpas with kids in arcade and teens in laxer tag and multi gen bowling and a younger crowd at shoot hour. All the people were smiling and enjoying their family and beating the heat. I'm happy to have such a clean and friendly activity in town. Not to mention some yummy food choices. I came here for a trivia night and tried the chicken quesadillas which were amazing. They deep fry the whole quesadilla! Perfect crisp! Lots of parking outside and plenty of lanes and of course video games for those that don't want to bowl. There is a bar as well. King Pins is a great place for friends and family. This location is large with two bowling areas, laser tag, an arcade, and a bar. The bowing alleys are spacious and modern, making for a great experience. The building is rather large and they were able to sperate the space nicely. The bowing alley to the far right is great for adults, as it's a bit more mature and includes a bar. The alley to the left is bright and fun, perfect for younger parties. The food is tasty for a bowling alley. This wouldn't be my top pick for a dinner spot, but it's satisfactory considering food isn't the main focus for this business. I enjoyed some pizza and salad. It was nothing to write home about, but it kept me fuelled up for a fun night of bowling and games. The only area I found could use improvement was the arcade. It was smaller than I had expected and there wasn't a huge variety of games. I'm a true kid at heart, so I was looking forward to this part. (Half Price Arcade on Monday & Tuesday after 5PM) Laser Tag- There laser tag arena is two floors and there vest and guns are in good shape. They have different type of game play options as well. (Half price game on Monday & Tuesday after 5PM) Eat/Drink- Taphouse Bar & Grill: We went during a event so we were served Pizza, Salad and Wings. The pizza was very good and fresh and my partner that normally doesn't like pizza actually really enjoy it and she a picky person. She thinks it was one of the best pizza she had in years. I also thought the pizza was really good and perfectly cook, toppings were good amount and flavor. We had Hawaiian pizza (Yes, I like pineapple on pizza) and a BBQ chicken pizza that was very tasty. Great place for big groups and kids of all ages. The staff in the arcade and bowling areas were wonderful and willing to assist with our requests and issues. It was cool how you can choose to rotate between lanes to make games go quicker if you have larger groups. Some arcade game took my money and didn't have an out of order notice so the gentlemen reimbursed me. I did not do the laser tag but I was told it was over 70 degrees in there but it was a fun experience for those who participated. Dress light! They were accommodating for the last minute laser tag for over 12 ppl on a Friday night. Most the arcade games were $1/swipe and up. It helps to Check the website for hh deals! This review is well overdue because we come here ALL the time. We may even have a Kingpins problem but that's okay with me! We started coming here when (pandemic times) our usual Monday spot with our toddler (Big Al's) was closed for something. We figured we'd try it out and see how it compares. Easy to say it definitely is beating out Big Al's. First and foremost, the people. THEY CARE. Like, you can tell pretty much everyone is actually happy to be at work and happy to go out of their way to assist you. I can't say enough nice things about the manager Phil, who always swings by our table if he's working. Anel is our usual waitress on on top of her game even with the current (limited) staffing. Nick, Mike and all the bartenders are super nice. Even the food runners are super pleasant. That reflects good management and good hiring practices. Even during COVID they seemed to keep things together which is most impressive. Second, food options are great and definitely not stagnant. While a bulk of the menu stays the same, they're always swapping or adding new things every couple of months and the food is good. I've not had a single thing I dislike but my go to is the teriyaki bowl. Third, HAPPY HOUR. I am afraid to admit how times we are here because of it. It's great. And cheap. And delicious. More than once the staff saw my kiddo struggling with something and offered to help before I could. While it may be pricey, you're definitely getting your moneys worth from the staff. Food is good!
